I'm very impressed by two things: 1) LBJ struggles to execute Hakeem' s moves 2) Hakeem looks so smooth in full flow. Of course LBJ as the smaller player coming from a guard BG can be much quicker but also a lot less tidy in his moves. This is what impresses so much about Hakeem - the tideness of his moves.
LeBron does it with ease? What sh*t are you smoking? The dude still has no post game, still plays from the outside, and has no "moves" like Hakeem an all time great. His only move is run full speed to the hoop from top of the key. And the ironic part is that ain't a move.
Neel Pendyala it’s crazy how good do you have to be to average 28 points for a career and only have one move which is running full speed from the top of the key I wish it was that easy for every else
Ed A nah he still doesn’t do that with ease lebrons game isn’t geared for the smooth grace that’s required for the dreams moves lebron is more strong and stiff with his movements lebrons game fits his body type taking advantage of his strength and speed vs footwork and balance
Mike needs some kind of award or acknowledgement for being one of the best trainers in the world. This great man trains a legend and has for years. AMAZING!👍💕🤗
correct me if im wrong, but in the nba, a hopstep can be both feet or 1,2 as long as you do not pivot after... in this case its a 1,2 so it is NOT travel. however, i remember in college intramural league that the refs always said you must land on two feet for a hop step before every game. so it depends on which league you play in and what their hop step rules are, either both feet or 1,2. it just looks extra fancy because the hopstep is at the peak of the spin. with the jab step before and pump fake after, you can potentially juke three to four defenders in a single drive. that gives you three to four open teammates or an and1 situation.
Gmoney Mozart because Lebron is 6’8 270 built like a power forward but moves like a guard and has a 40 inch vert which is why he’s a freakish athletic player
I don't think this is a travel based on the official rules. Most people have the misconception that you are not allowed to pick up your pivot until the the first dribble hits the ground. Actually, your dribble being live starts the very spilt second when you only have one hand on the top half of the ball, not when the ball hits the ground. So your dribble is actually considered live before it even leaves your hand. As long as your not palming it. Same thing goes for picking up your dribble.
That move actually has room at the end for another step. First step is using a pivot foot, one dribble gets you the jump onto 2 feet. From there you are allowed to establish either foot as the pivot foot. LeBron doesnt, he shoots a hook instead.
melo, lebron, dwight, amare... what have they in common except kobe? all of them have trouble executing the moves hakeem displays. like they aren't willing to learn
Lol damn it's amazing how bad LBJ's jumper is from a few feet away. I think t just goes to show how even though he's the best in the NBA overall right now, he's still so raw and full of potential. I personally think he should just work on some one handed shots like D-Wade takes. They are sooo hard to stop.
There's some numbers out there for what he charges players, I assume since it's LeBron he probably charged him a couple million to do all of these lessons
I'm not hating, but that's a travel. Great respect for LBJ and The Dream but you can't do these moves in an actual game, whether it's in Europe or NBA.
Ppl wanna talk about Lonzo Ball's shot technique, and rightfully so. But LeBron has never had a trusting jumper. Every time he shoots, it just doesn't look right, so you can tell right away, that it isn't right. From the time he brings the ball up, I'd say starting at about chest high, up to the top of his shot, his elbows are too wide. He's never worked or no one's ever helped him work on his shot? Being the "best" in the world. Gotta keep the elbows in, especially the shooting bow, 90°degrees. Both the left and right are way out. If course the left being way out left, and the right bring way out right. To where if the camera is facing him completely and he takes a jumper, and you pause before he shoots, from elbows to hands it looks like a Triangle going up. You'd just think he would've fixed it or at least adjusted a little over time
Kobe and Lebron were the only 2 players who didnt waste hakeem's time
The333er
And Melo
Dwight Howard also
Looks like Lebron is wasting his time in the videos I've seen
I agree that it took more time for him to learn but i have seen Lebron using it
AIRTIGHT31 you do know that a player practices off camera you don’t just jump into something and automatically be good at it
I'm very impressed by two things: 1) LBJ struggles to execute Hakeem' s moves 2) Hakeem looks so smooth in full flow.

A B now Lebron does it with ease you have to learn to master thing dumbass you don’t just get good in one day
A B plus Lebron while he may be shorter is heavier

Hakeem's footwork is second to none. He's fluid as fuck with every move.
Remember..this is a former NBA center showing Lebron those great moves. Olajuwon redefined the center position.
Redefined the sport
He uses this move all the time now.
@@putitinreverseterry its cus his foots all fucled
traveling everywhere but in the NBA
yes of all
It's amazing just how smooth and guard-like the Dream looks with the ball.
When the Dream does his spin move, it's sooo damn smooth.
Damn you with that teaser at the end! More please more... Lol
Mike needs some kind of award or acknowledgement for being one of the best trainers in the world. This great man trains a legend and has for years. AMAZING!👍💕🤗
Saw The Dream play one time, courtside...Best experience ever.
Hakeem's footwork is so graceful.
It's funny how they compare these players (Kobe, Lebron, Carmelo) to Jordan but they all use Hakeem's moves
Lebron learning from the GOAT!
The Dream made my childhood okay while my Celtics sucked. My 1st fave athlete of my life. (I just missed Bird)

Cain Beezle 2 feet land. the nba just dont call travel
Hakeem is teaching these superstars but it's even good for weekend warrior too, time hasn't affected the greatest, he still looks like he can play.
coming back even better
Hakeem should also teach Joel Embiid. I think they have the same low post moves.
embiid said himself he used to watch hakeem clips for hours every day when he was growing up, its showing now though hes a contender for mvp
just a dream watching him
Hakeem's move was so smooth and make me feel comfortable
Hakeem's footwork is like watching a ballerina doing her stuff.
Love and honor to legends!🤗💕😘
Damn Lebron is a freak of nature... Dude is almost as big as Hakeem.
hakeem was undersized for a center at 6'10, only 2 inches taller than the average sf in the league (6'8)
baldpnoy410 So he's "almost" as big as Hakeem but Lebron is the freak of nature?
This is what espn has done to this generation. lmfao....
Gmoney Mozart because Lebron is 6’8 270 built like a power forward but moves like a guard and has a 40 inch vert which is why he’s a freakish athletic player
jiggy diggy imagine being all this and still being the Goat

Sucks because Lebron rarely even uses the skills Hakeem taught him.
he was unstoppable in the post
He uses them...ive seen it!
He uses them often
It's the footwork that's important. Being able to create the maximum amount of space off of every move you make.
That move actually has room at the end for another step. First step is using a pivot foot, one dribble gets you the jump onto 2 feet. From there you are allowed to establish either foot as the pivot foot. LeBron doesnt, he shoots a hook instead.
For respect of the game
Jab with the right shake then pick up left before putting the ball down, I know they never call it in nba but at least execute it right
Hakeem's stuff is difficult as heck lol
Hakeem. Better than anyone in the league today.
melo, lebron, dwight, amare... what have they in common except kobe? all of them have trouble executing the moves hakeem displays. like they aren't willing to learn

Love you, Sweetums!👑💛🤗💕😘
im new to basketball and i heard he traveled can someone please explain to me which part of the video he traveled in?
the part he where he took more than two steps after dribbling
Heath McChesney when was that? minute? second?
They're not doing it full speed so the dribble comes down slow.. In full speed, it's still travel but he can get away with it
This is a travel. Michael Jordan explains this same move in another video. They can only get away with this in the NBA.
hating ass micheal scared as hell use to travel all the time
I am wondering how much Hakeem is charging LBJ for these lessons....
There's some numbers out there for what he charges players, I assume since it's LeBron he probably charged him a couple million to do all of these lessons
seem to be Traveling violation.
hakeem the dream olajuwon harlem shake in the post!!!!!!
these moves can't help LeBron if he can't make the shots :D
2011 guys.
If its a travel then how come no one ever called it when Hakeem did it in game?
How is that not a travel, even under NBA's rules?
u no the spin move. how is that not a travel
I'm not hating, but that's a travel. Great respect for LBJ and The Dream but you can't do these moves in an actual game, whether it's in Europe or NBA.
taecher mvp vs mvp player

Matt Conard please stfu
Matt Conard what you know at basketball bum
After this footage you think tyson chandler is way better
Isnt this a travel though?
Every single one of those moves is travel in FIBA
@@putitinreverseterry bruh this was 7 years ago. I was 12. lol get out of the rabbit hole
This is a fuckin travel!!!
i remember kobe doing that and he got stuffed by wade. this does not work for ball hogs.
idk lebron just doesnt look fluid
looks like a robot
Shane Bryant come watch him now loser this is from years ago bum do you think you just become good at something in one day
Losers who think you can master a skill with just one sitting.
what the fk is the FIBA oh wait none cares
Traveled
Hakeem was just that smooth...thats why Lebron flew to Houston and paid Hakeem 80k for sessions!
Lebron footwork is such a joke he's much better off as a post up
Can they just post the ones with Hakeem doing the moves....
Dont like bron, he's just a muscle mountain without smoothness
