    I'm very impressed by two things: 1) LBJ struggles to execute Hakeem' s moves 2) Hakeem looks so smooth in full flow.
    Of course LBJ as the smaller player coming from a guard BG can be much quicker but also a lot less tidy in his moves. This is what impresses so much about Hakeem - the tideness of his moves.

      LeBron does it with ease? What sh*t are you smoking? The dude still has no post game, still plays from the outside, and has no "moves" like Hakeem an all time great. His only move is run full speed to the hoop from top of the key. And the ironic part is that ain't a move.

    • @eda639
      @eda639 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neel Pendyala it’s crazy how good do you have to be to average 28 points for a career and only have one move which is running full speed from the top of the key I wish it was that easy for every else

    • @trejones9751
      @trejones9751 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ed A nah he still doesn’t do that with ease lebrons game isn’t geared for the smooth grace that’s required for the dreams moves lebron is more strong and stiff with his movements lebrons game fits his body type taking advantage of his strength and speed vs footwork and balance

    correct me if im wrong, but in the nba, a hopstep can be both feet or 1,2 as long as you do not pivot after... in this case its a 1,2
    so it is NOT travel. however, i remember in college intramural league that the refs always said you must land on two feet for a hop step before every game. so it depends on which league you play in and what their hop step rules are, either both feet or 1,2.
    it just looks extra fancy because the hopstep is at the peak of the spin. with the jab step before and pump fake after, you can potentially juke three to four defenders in a single drive. that gives you three to four open teammates or an and1 situation.

    I don't think this is a travel based on the official rules. Most people have the misconception that you are not allowed to pick up your pivot until the the first dribble hits the ground. Actually,your dribble being live starts the very spilt second when you only have one hand on the top half of the ball, not when the ball hits the ground. So your dribble is actually considered live before it even leaves your hand. As long as your not palming it. Same thing goes for picking up your dribble.

  • @bandrew7038

      It's the footwork that's important. Being able to create the maximum amount of space off of every move you make.

  • @Heybuditsme
    @Heybuditsme 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That move actually has room at the end for another step. First step is using a pivot foot, one dribble gets you the jump onto 2 feet. From there you are allowed to establish either foot as the pivot foot. LeBron doesnt, he shoots a hook instead.

    Lol damn it's amazing how bad LBJ's jumper is from a few feet away. I think t just goes to show how even though he's the best in the NBA overall right now, he's still so raw and full of potential. I personally think he should just work on some one handed shots like D-Wade takes. They are sooo hard to stop.

    Ppl wanna talk about Lonzo Ball's shot technique, and rightfully so. But LeBron has never had a trusting jumper. Every time he shoots, it just doesn't look right, so you can tell right away, that it isn't right. From the time he brings the ball up, I'd say starting at about chest high, up to the top of his shot, his elbows are too wide. He's never worked or no one's ever helped him work on his shot? Being the "best" in the world. Gotta keep the elbows in, especially the shooting bow, 90°degrees. Both the left and right are way out. If course the left being way out left, and the right bring way out right. To where if the camera is facing him completely and he takes a jumper, and you pause before he shoots, from elbows to hands it looks like a Triangle going up. You'd just think he would've fixed it or at least adjusted a little over time
