@Grubby you can actually possess Wind Riders (or any flying units below level 5), you just need to web them first !

It was possible to do this in early RoC but was changed before TFT came out. I remember having fun with this on custom game as a kid, possessing Harpie Windwitches and Storm Hags.
Maybe in 6 years they will buff carapace to 55% return xD

What happens if you possess a kodo beast that is currently eating one of your own units?
the eaten unit get released but lose health based on the time spend on kodo beast stomach

Spiked Carapace should be 3-6-9 armor and 25%-50%-75% damage return.
Even 10 Armor would be fine for a Level THREE Skill

What sucks about this ability is how one attribute basically combats the other. The higher the armor, the less damage return.

yea, if you had 1500 life that 35% damage return is just 525dmg, not accounting for lifereg, then it would be more over time. but this ability also gives armor, but armor gets weaker fast. does anyone know if the 35% damage reflect is before or after the dmg reduction through armor? cant test it now. but 525 dmg thats only vs melee doesnt seem strong for a lvl 3 ability. it rly seems weak

Pretty sure every point of armor increases your effectivene health with a flat percentage

does undead gain hp regen when in blight?
its because return damage is not hero damage so it gets reduced by hero armour
Well more specifically it's magic damage for some reason so heroes get 30% reduction

I remember casually fighting vs 3 insane ai in a single player ffa in market square. DR + BM + Lich bc I charmed all the other races' workers. I guess charm breaks the insane ai lol
Grubby you need to request Impales Boost. That was very less for a lvl 3 skill. Even thorns is better
what happens if a kodo eats one of your units but then you posses the kodo? Then the kodo dies what happens to the unit inside? In theory it should pop out and belong to the enemy?

i think as it still counts as your unit (has your food), it will then again be your unit only.
Kodo should immediately release the unit after being possessed

they do not affect air units, even if the unit is webbed, i just tested this in world editor. I am also looking at patch notes and see nothing about that change so i dont think they ever could.

Does Carapace reflect pre-armor damage like blademail or post-armor damage like the old blademail?
its because the damage gets reduced when bounced back for being normal attack vs hero armor
@@dougfax normal attack does 100% damage to hero armor. The issue is spiked carapace is magic damage.

Well, the problem here was the orc had 3 heroes, grubby only one and not even that far ahead in level.
So the banshees possess all their units and then you still lose because the orc heroes are too strong.
Grubby was also just meming possessing workers which is just not worth.
If you want a real shot of mass possession you need 3 heroes that can actually fight the enemy heroes. And you also need nerubians to Web their air units so they can be possessed

Dear Warcraft 3 developers,
I have a humble request to make regarding one of my favorite units in the game: the banshee. I like banshees. I like their design, their voice😅, their lore, their abilities. They are so cool and unique and fun to use. But there is one problem: they are not a T3 creature. They are not even close to being a T3 creature. They are weak, squishy, and ineffective in the late game. Their best ability, possession, is locked behind a tier 3 upgrade that costs too much and takes too long to research. By the time you get possession, banshees are obsolete and outmatched by almost everything.
This is not fair. This is not right. This is not balanced. Banshees deserve better. They deserve to be a viable option for the undead army, not a niche or a novelty. They deserve to have possession at tier 2, not tier 3. Possession is such a cool and powerful ability that can turn the tide of battle and create interesting strategies and scenarios. It should not be restricted to a late game upgrade that no one ever gets.
Please, I beg you, lower the possession upgrade to tier 2. Make banshees great again. Make them a T2 creature that can actually compete and contribute to the undead army. Give them the respect they deserve.

Possession used to be able to target air units you used tp be able to possess frost wyrms. I can only imagine they had to nerf it into the ground because it was too powerful

@@warwickthekingmaker7281 are you sure about this? i keep hearing this but when i look at patch notes there is nothing saying "can no longer target air" which leads me to believe they never could.
possession used to be instant cast, and then nerfed to 1 second. i imagine they were alot stronger then, before it was a 4.5 second channel. I agree tho, 375 hp FULLY UPGRADED is such a joke...
@@DivineBanana in the campaign you can possess air units at least. I have a strong memory of possessing a frost wyrm during a particular mission where you do a surprise attack and try to kill as much as possible before the enemy base wakes up. I suppose it's possible they could possess air units before the release of froze throne, during development, and while it was cut because it was deemed too OP it was kept in the campaign.

what was the logic behind going necros + spamming beetles when he had tauren shamans? he was feeding exp into enemy heroes while doing nothing (unless killing summons with dispel don't give any exp). It looks like Grubby just lost idea what to do once the banshee+spiky hero meme failed hard.

BM is never deserved, especially when it takes you 30 mins to defeat a COMPLETE DOUBLE MEME BUILD (meme banshee AND meme solo CL build) - that guy was pretty inept and the fact he felt he was good is just uttterly hilarious and makes him look very foolish.
