My brothers is a under water welder from way back. I have never been able to see what he does. So this was a awesome video. Kind of gave me a idea of what he went through. Thanks guys.

What do you mean brother? The most common type of work you underwater weld.in is technically called "commercial diving". You are a commercial diver that also underwater welds. You get certified to be a commercial diver and then the welding is the 2nd part you get certified for.

Low Hy rods, underwater. Hmmm no point in that is there really lol
You may find the electrodes easier to start if you dip the tips in poly varnish then in to Graphite powder then dry them before immersion.

Not like it used to be haha, now everything has dry socks and stuff. Even for bridge repair they drop in tubes and stuff to dry dock that.
