👉Wow, what an eye catcher Dimash is again and again. The whole package: looks, voice, movement and above all character. That little smile blows my mind and the rhythm makes my feet dance all by themselves. But like Fly Away, this dance song gets meaning through the lyrics.
Zhalyn/ Flame, a dynamic song in the Kazakh language, was written by Kazakh composer Yedilzhan Gabbasov (co-author Dimash Qudaibergen). Yedilzhan wanted to create something Kazakh with a modern sound: “As a kid I listened to a lot of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and other quality music. This is often my main source of inspiration...“ ...you can hear it.
The Poet Nurzhan Askhatuly shared what he wanted to express in the lyrics:
“To change for someone else is tantamount to losing yourself. If you have changed yourself, you are no longer you. You turn away from your nature and become a completely different person. That’s why I think we should try to understand and accept anyone, no matter how different they are from us. That’s the main point of the song.”
The music video was filmed by Kazakh director Shyngyskhan Tazhikeev in the MOOD VIDEO genre. This music video was an experiment both for him and for the performer himself. During the creation of the music video there was no script with a story. (Dimash news)

Je peux imaginer, comme si je le ressentais moi-même, le combat intérieur (jihaad) quasiment constant, que doit vivre Dimash, confronté qu'il est, face à cette brutale réalité... J'éspère qu'il est bien conscient d'être désormais exposé, et en même temps, au centre d'un véritable combat entre le Bien et le Mal, qu'il saura prendre les bonnes décisions, sans jamais se soumettre... Que Dieu nous guide tous.

This new song ... well ... to be honest, is not really mine. Parts of it I like very much, but especially the chorus with that double voice .... er ... nope 😵💫... But I love, love, love the oriental part before and the Dombra part at the very end 🥰🥰🥰. I also like Dimash's choice to sing the song in Kazakh and not in English.

The multifaceted Dimash showing us another side of his abilities…singing I think in his own language. The hat…the dance moves..a homage to Michael Jackson with some Justin Timberlake thrown in?? This song seems to be a slight change of musical direction..appealing potentially to a younger audience maybe?? Not a bad song. Loved the reaction Sabina..a slight look of surprise in parts. I’m sure this song won’t do him any harm.

Hi Sabina ! Remember when they did that international search about 4 or 5? years ago ( did you have the channel then, seems like you've been his fan forever) for a strategic planning firm? They were particular in wanting one that shared their core values ? It's my understanding from my friends in Kazakhstan this is a targeted piece from the working plan being utilized since, from their choice of a firm at that time, to begin his more formalized emergence into the Americas marketplace with plans to piggyback Western Europe as opportunity presents before a formal launch and the Almaty concert will introduce more.targeted pieces, no one knows about Minsk all with just enough of a Kazakh flavor to retain his local base and expand outwards. Like Okay being Cuban samba pa TI and the new, and always surprising, sultry bossa nova voiced Dimash who had me dancing samba !. I am a great admirer of Dimash's vocal gifts and his artistic talents, and also I know that tastes vary, yet I think this new song is a recycled, boring and unbecoming to Dimash's talents. Just because he tries to move or imitate M.J. it doesn't mean that he is great here in this clip. His greatness is in his vocal and artistic abilities. To me this clip is a terrible disappointment. Most of the time Dimash is at his greatest when he cooperates with Igor Krutoi.. Once again, I am aware and admire his unparalleled vocal gifts and his artistic sensibilities but that does not blind me to a point when I think all that he does is great. This one is terrible disappointment. One can watch hundreds of mediocre performers do what he does here. Sorry.
