It is important, at your crossroads, to also listen to Dimash's "Olympico" performance because it gives you 25% more energy that day to accomplish whatever you want. Be sure to have closed captions though. If you can't have them on which I've seen sometimes, have the lyrics print it out. Then after that you have to listen to "Stranger". That song is in English. So Daniel, you have to convince your buddy Spencer to listen to those TOO. In fact, you should put them BACK to BACK 😊... and have both of those songs ready to have your buddy's life changed. Here are 3 of Dimash’s compositions; “Omir”, “The story of one sky” (you must watch the MV of this one), “Unforgettable Day”, in which he reaches a D8 (Gaku performance), and “Qairan Elim”. Who is Dimash? I, and a few others, call him the singer of the millennia because the range of musical genres, and his vocal range, 7.7 octaves, are like no other. From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now, 2023), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. The world became aware of him in 2017 (when he was 22), during and after a Chinese singing contest called "Singer". His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states & 2 US territories, and was sold out. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology this year (2023).
Dimash sings in 14 languages, plays 7+ musical instruments, is a composer, an amazing vocalist, patriot, philanthropist and, despite his popularity and talent, is a very warm and humble person.

To put it in context:
He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note.
Total Dimash range is G0-D8. By the way, a D8 is a couple of keys past the high end of a piano. And, I believe his Vocal Fry is off the low end of the keyboard.

While I appreciate that this isn't primarily a music channel, to see Dimash's pride in Qazaqstan, you should perhaps watch a song in his native language. (Whilst SOS is a wonderful song to introduce people to Dimash, it's in French - a language he doesn't speak!)
'Samaltau' would be a great way to understand how deep is his love for his country, or his national anthem, or 'Qairan Elim', perhaps?

Dimash has done a LOT of Kazakh folk songs. Most are so emotional. He dresses in traditional garb. And he features some of Kazakhstan’s traditional instruments such as the kobryz and dombra. He’s even had a gazillion men and boys playing the dombra. And once a great” “band” that featured several traditional instruments and dressed in that beautiful Kazakh blue.

I absolutely love, love, love the version of this song by Dimash when he sang it during the Chinese talent show - Of course he was much younger and, in my very humble opinion, hungrier. That said, this version is also ridiculously brilliant ❤❤❤❤
Dimash is singing SOS by Luc Plamondons a Canadian lyricist which he wrote in collaboration with the French composer Michel Berger. The rock opera is called Starmania, and includes SOS about an “earthling" in distress. Regarding the wings reference: The national animal of Kazakhstan is the golden eagle . a symbol of independence, freedom and flight to the future . This motif is often seen in his work.

18K views in 1 day. Not too shabby I'd say. Yeah, you might want to fit a few more music reactions in there with those country views. (I'm a huge Chris Stapleton fan btw.) I first viewed the 2017 SOS performance by Dimash in the fall of that year a few months after it was recorded when Dimash opened the 2017 annual competition of professional singers in the most viewed talent show in the world, China's I Am Singer. I have since listened to him almost daily and probably have viewed over 10k of YT reactions to his music. I liked and saved over 6k reactions. He is simply one of the greatest vocal talents possibly ever. Suggestions for further reactions: 2018 Sinful Passion, Ave Maria, Stranger, Love is like a Dream, The Story of One Sky, any of the 14 week elimination competition show from the previously mentioned I Am Singer and well...just about anything from Dimash. He doesnt disappoint. He is a remarkable human being aside from his amazing vocal talent.
