If they fired you without cause, such as "they are overstaffed", they should have to pay out the remainder of months on your contract. I had a company release me in October a few years ago and they had to pay me all the way through April, as well as give me my bonus. I'd look into it.

It may be easier to find jobs in big companies than small ones. Big companies are usually used to working with foreigners. And usually they need bilingual people. Prepare you resume in both languages and apply for big corporations.

The only exception would be if you were not in an employment relationship with the company and were instead classified as a "self-employed contractor." What were the terms of your employment when you were working there? Of course, others have mentioned that the best course of action is to consult with the Labor Standards Inspection Office, though disputes like these can take time to resolve. If you were terminated without just cause despite being on a part-time contract, it would suggest that the company is a "black company." Unfortunately, there is also the concern that such companies may unfairly delay matters until your visa expires. In any case, I recommend discussing with your partner whether to report this to the authorities or focus on finding a new job.

If you are still looking for job, try those restaurants like Peter Luger, Benjamin, Wolfgang etc. or Hotels. They do hire someone who can speak English or other foreign languages fluently for tourists. You don't need to worry about your Japanese at all. You'll learn. So, keep it up mate!

You didn't get fired from your Job, you got laid off which is less severe. One of life's lesson's learned, always have an Emergency fund tucked away. I know it's tough to stay positive about it but, in the time you went to your friends house you could of went to a employment agency to help you find another Job. Good Luck! & Stay Positive! I am so sorry for your situation right now, maybe some of the other comments about how you should go to the labour office could help you to get the job back or find something else. I live in Canada and the company I work for which I’ve been there for 10 years but my wife worked for the same company and they were doing “restructuring” so they said her position was eliminated and that they no longer needed her, she got employment insurance covered up until roughly the beginning of November, but she was able to find a part time seasonal job working for a bookstore. We’re hoping the company that hired her will keep her on after her seasonal contract is up. I hope you can get the help you need ❤🤗 please keep us up to date on what happens 😊

ただし労基は強制力がないので、別で不当解雇として弁護士に相談してください。
50万から100万くらいが慰謝料の相場のようです。
違法なので弁護士に相談することを強くおすすめします。
あと会社とどんな契約なのかは知りませんが、何かしらの契約書で即日解雇可能な契約をしていたとしても、法的に認められないはずです。

If you are still looking for job, try those restaurants like Peter Luger, Benjamin, Wolfgang etc. or Hotels. They do hire someone who can speak English or other foreign languages fluently for tourists. You don't need to worry about your Japanese at all. You'll learn. So, keep it up mate!

But its nice to see you don't give up despite the career changes. (Also, yes they just broke the rules of laying off employees so you have to do something abt it in case they fire other staff just like you in the future?)

You didn't get fired from your Job, you got laid off which is less severe. One of life's lesson's learned, always have an Emergency fund tucked away. I know it's tough to stay positive about it but, in the time you went to your friends house you could of went to a employment agency to help you find another Job. Good Luck! & Stay Positive! 経営状態による整理解雇のようだけど、話し合いもされてない。
不当解雇なら賠償金取れるから、自治体やハローワーク、労基局など無料の法律相談の窓口があるので、相談してみて。

I am so sorry for your situation right now, maybe some of the other comments about how you should go to the labour office could help you to get the job back or find something else. I live in Canada and the company I work for which I’ve been there for 10 years but my wife worked for the same company and they were doing “restructuring” so they said her position was eliminated and that they no longer needed her, she got employment insurance covered up until roughly the beginning of November, but she was able to find a part time seasonal job working for a bookstore. We’re hoping the company that hired her will keep her on after her seasonal contract is up. I hope you can get the help you need ❤🤗 please keep us up to date on what happens 😊
