Agree. Abhorrent disrespectful behavior done solely for engagement, that negates the point of the entire video. Why does everybody need to insult our intelligence with gimmicks these days?
@@TraderJL exactly. There is so much ideas Mark could do with the books for the engagement (sliding, motion effects etc) but throwing them, pretending not to care...it disregards the entire point of the video - I don't know, these books are the type of knowledge you want to have on you bookshelf without damaged edges (reckless)
As a highschooler the official first non fiction I'm going to read is how to win friends and influence people (it was already pre-planned and I have this book lying around from before I was born..my mom bought it but never read it)
Hi Mark, thanks for the recommendations, added quite a few to my list of books to read. And I was wondering what your opinion is on Robert Greene's books. I am just getting into them, and from their reputation, they seem pretty fucking powerful (to the point that "the 48 laws of power" is banned from US prisons), and was expecting to see one here. So I was wondering is there a reason for this?
Robert Kyioski is not saying he is broke when he states he is 1.2 billion in debt. That debt owns rental properties over 1500 doors that rents pay him. His net worth is stated online as 100 - 120 million net worth
How to Win Friends and Influence People, was an absolute joy to read. It's really useful, but the 'dated' language usage felt like I was watching a movie. My favorite quote from the book is also a joke. 'Mark Twain lost his temper occasionally and wrote letters that turned the paper brown. For example, he once wrote to a man who had aroused his ire: ‘The thing for you is a burial permit. You have only to speak and I will see that you get it.’ This is the kind of humor I miss in today's world. Pure genius.
I teach high school English, and I recommend many of these books to my students. Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is great for high schoolers because it's a near-perfect primer on how to create meaningful, lasting relationships with other people. His book "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" is also helpful.
This is fabulous- I’ve read a few of these but now have a list of many others to use my B&N gift card on (and my library card!). Love this. Question though: does throwing the book indicate you don’t think it’s worth reading?? It sure comes off that way
Hi Mark, great video and you gave me some new book ideas. I hate reading and just recently I forced myself to read and it's going pretty well and I will continue. Thanks for summarizing those books so I have an idea what to pick next.
This book emphasises on the importance of discipline and self love. I think it's my personal best book(s) the ideas are very straight forward and disgestable
Happy bday, Mark! You have had a profound impact on me, my beliefs, life, etc. I am 62, and you’re right, it’s NEVER too late. Many thanks. Humble correction, Mark - at 16:40 you are pronouncing the work ‘nuclear’ as ‘nucular’. With gratitude & respect, Andrew

@@rorschach7752It’s a bot or scam. It doesn’t exist. It’s on every video that mentions a book in any way shape or form. Not sure why haha but it’s a thing they’re doing now 🤷♂️
I love this list and I love how you summarized them. I now have more to read. Thank you
I read 10 books out of these 33 books. All are great books. Amazing curation that you have done. Thanks.
The snickers bar bit was brillaint.
The video being a hunger for information, and the 'you aren't you when you're hungry'. Satisfying connection.
Dude recommended 33 books leaving us in a paradox of choice, but he also suggested the book which is about a paradox of choice, so I guess it's fine.
The fact that he read his own book and included it in this video is what fascinates me.
Maybe to read that one first?
That is a great point, and hilarious! 🤣
Really enjoyed this, Mark. Thanks so much! I just ordered a few new titles... And of course, thanks for all of your contributions to the literary world! :)
There's a book called money's hidden tricks, and it talks about how using some secret tehniques you can attract a lot of money, it's not some bullshit law of attraction, it's the real deal
I can't seem to find the book when I google it. Any possibility you can share the author's name? Would be appreciated
@@shanewhite1273It's a bot
@@shanewhite1273 Money's Hidden Magic is on the Borlest site, too, along with Whispers of Manifestation. I haven't found Money's Hidden Tricks yet, though.

Wow! I thought I would have had more on this list. I only come in at having read 6 of these books. Great recommendations!
I love atomic habits. It has changed my life
thank you for saving my 1 year of time... amazing work. please keep it up coming!
greetings to all and greetings to you Mark, great video and good books, I would add the book Astro Money Alchemy whose story dives deeper into the mysterious secrets of making money and the great secrets of it, genius and once again I would like to praise the video, thank you
Did it make you any better at making money?

Great overview Mark, helpfull way to learn about different kind of books that i probably would never find in my own echo chamber!
This video is pure gold, thank you Mark!
thank you. i dont have a good attentuon span so summaries are best for me. some of these things i realize
now
that im in my 40s. i am to rely on myself to feel stuck or get unstuck. many circumstances i cant change. but sulking doesnt help.
Bro, I'm sure you've heard this before but "Models" genuinely changed my life and was the catalyst that helped pull me from a severe depression. It also saved me from the fake "PUA" shit that was so popular in the early 2010s.
can you summarize it
Mark idk how ur timing is always so perfect.. ur a saviour dude❤️🤝
Thank you for the summaries because then if something really resonates, I will read the whole book🙏🏾🙌🏾
Great vid Mark, but I hate the book throwing :Ddd precious books!
Just found you. This is great it's like having a friend you meet up with at a coffee shop and get the tea on books.
As a highschooler the official first non fiction I'm going to read is how to win friends and influence people (it was already pre-planned and I have this book lying around from before I was born..my mom bought it but never read it)
I recommend it, too
This book is a must read for keeping a job. Work is more about being social than actually doing anything especially in the US (the land of BS).
@@Nowhere888 thankyou
Which place has less BS than America? I'm pretty sure other places have their own BS.@@Nowhere888
Looking good! Thank you! I filled up my Audible wish list, and I am excited!
This isn't the video we wanted, but it's the video we needed.
Thanks for posting
Awesome video! Just started Dopamine Nation, really need it right now.
You’re quickly becoming my favorite podcaster/youtuber!
If a self help author is a musician, libertarian and just a good writer it's a yes for me. Good job Mark!
Robert Kyioski is not saying he is broke when he states he is 1.2 billion in debt. That debt owns rental properties over 1500 doors that rents pay him. His net worth is stated online as 100 - 120 million net worth
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode! It was fun and truly enlightening. Thank you!
Enough wisdom for a lifetime.
one of your best qualities is your ability to not take yourself so seriously. It is something I strive to do. Life should be fun.
My heart was also smashed again and again😅 when he throws these great books again and again but great video
Love you Mark from NePal❤
Not wanting to throw "Man's search of meaning" is the best recommendation of a book that I have seen recently.
You have only to speak and I will see that you get it.’
This is the kind of humor I miss in today's world.
Love a good summary
This is fabulous- I’ve read a few of these but now have a list of many others to use my B&N gift card on (and my library card!). Love this. Question though: does throwing the book indicate you don’t think it’s worth reading?? It sure comes off that way
Why do you have to throw the books....😢
Because he doesn't give a f*ck.
Yes, best sentences start with subordinating conjunctions 🙈
If you take serious, then it’s nearly impossible get the sense of humor, don’t be serious 🎉 🤡 🐦
Probably just for dramatic effect...
Understanding what the book said is more important than the book itself the book itself is just paper and ink
He just wants attention and made a bad decision by throwing the books. It could have burned your hair. It would be more interesting.
Hi Mark, great video and you gave me some new book ideas. I hate reading and just recently I forced myself to read and it's going pretty well and I will continue. Thanks for summarizing those books so I have an idea what to pick next.
What about "the road less traveled"?
This book emphasises on the importance of discipline and self love. I think it's my personal best book(s) the ideas are very straight forward and disgestable
Yes!
Absolutely love that book. I need to go back and read it again.
OMG! Whoever did the editing is brilliant
Thanks for the summaries. I play this video at double the speed for even faster summaries.
Bro you missed one of the greatest books "the obstacle is the way"
I enjoyed that one, too!
Man’s search for meaning is one of my all time favorites! Read it many times
Thank you thank you thank you for your content, I really appreciate you❤❤
Theses books often have 1 good concept or lesson, this is why the Bible is the best life changing book of all time, it literally has 1000s of lessons. ;)
Zen Mind Beginners Mind is definitely one of the best on Zen Buddhism. But I highly recommend any of Brad Warner’s books on the topic. Hardcore Zen, Sit Down and Shut Up, The Other Side Of Nothing just to name a few.
