HOW TO MAKE THE CLEANEST MICRO JIGGING ASSIST HOOKS
Here's a very clean way to make Micro Jigging Assist Hooks.
Unlike most of the videos on micro assist hooks you find on youtube, this is made with a solid ring, not a loop. The loop is connected to the split ring, which is practically the weakest link in the jig, so I try not to put pressure on the split ring by not making it a load bearing point.
Making micro assist hooks this way for micro and light jigging, even for heavy jigging ensures the load is not on the split ring - since there is always a chance for the split ring to open. This is the biggest reason why I put a solid ring on all my assist hooks for micro jigging, it does not only look clean, but it ensures that the pressure of the fight is not on the fragile split ring, it is a direct connection to the rod.

that helps as well! I usually put some in the start, in the middle of tying and then a coat after.

Good work as usual Mr. Kit 👌
And two questions for you this time🙏
The first one, is uv glue and uv epoxy one thing or different materials
The second, when I use the uv epoxy, can I reuse the hooks again if the assist cord are damaged and the hook still good ?

UV glue and epoxy are the same - I wouldn't really use them on assist hooks because they turn brittle with repeated exposure to sunlight. .Yes you can reuse the hooks.

Very professional explanation. What’s a micro jig to you? I use jigs here in Australia and I’ve got my rigs right that the hook snaps when snagged on the coral.
Your technique makes me want to make the assist hooks.

Motor Oil. This is not crystal flash - it's called midge flash, it's a finer version of crystal flash and You can find it in fly shops, but I think it's also kind of rare for them to come in this color nowadays.

@John Owner has something similar. The JF 27 - similar shape.
John, bad news, Australia only sells ready made hooks in twins and singles, but not the loose hooks in sports packs, like we do here. I got this info from the most reliable source and the buck stops with this person. So at least from the usual channel, the sports packs are not sold there.
I think if you can find the JF-27 from Owner, you are in good shape. They are quite similar in shape.
