    If the Bengals changed their seat colour to black and orange stripes it would elevate their stadium without much cost imo

    Nippert is amazing for sure. Its completely surrounded on all sides and noise level gets to levels you'd hear in a 70k+ stadium because of it. Truly a gem and 3rd oldest playing site in ncaaf

    The guardians new renovation was genius, it created a wind tunnel to right field for a team that has always made great contact but lacked power, we've gone from last in the league in home runs to top 15 and now we have one of the best records in baseball

  • @CoachHoffmanOL
    @CoachHoffmanOL 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    The Progressive Field renovation is a lot more extensive than you let on. Not only is the right field disaster being remedied, the Terrace Club in left field is being gutted for a new concept. the area at the top of the lower bowl behind home is being opened, and the team is building new office space behind right field along E 9th to allow for the expansion of training facilities under the stadium.

    Ohio stadium didn’t take out seats to diminish capacity. They added suites to the northwest side of the stadium

    • @igorschmidlapp6987
      @igorschmidlapp6987 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They actually removed the all-weather track, and lowered the field by 25 feet to put in the lowest ring (AA Deck). They only removed the temporary metal South Stands to put in the permanent South end, closing the horseshoe. I lived there when it was the home of the Stadium Scholarship Dormitory (SSD) in the mid-'70s (which was torn out for the renovation). The renovation also added the outer ring around the stadium to add the CC upper deck, and they added the suites and replaced the pressbox (SSD had an annual formal "Playboy Party" in the old pressbox). A Deck, B Deck, and C Deck are all still are part of the stadium.
      The football team held practices in the stadium (no big football facility) during my time there (got to chat with Woody several times as he left practice to his car parked below my window in the southwest end.
      If you look closely at shots of the southwest tower from inside the stadium, you will see a small window facing the field. That was a student room in Unit A of the SSD, and considered the prime room to have (it was an "all-male" unit after the dorm went co-ed (male/female units) in the fall of 1975. We played our intramural flag football games on the field, so, I could claim that I "played football" on the same field as Archie Griffin... ;-)
      Living in the original SSD was the best time of my life. GO SIGMA SIGMA DELTA! (our answer to the fraternities/sororities, had t-shirts made).

    How is browns stadium way out of the way? It’s downtown in a walkable city. Sure it’s not in public square, but it’s an amazing location on the lakefront that probably should be put to better use. It’s not like buffalo where they are building yet another football stadium miles away from downtown.

      It’s about a 20-30 min walk depending on your speed from W6th and the flats. No bars or restaurants on the walk between the business area and the stadium. It’s about as far away from downtown as you could get and still consider it downtown lol.

    Been going to Bengals games since PBS's inaugural season almost every single year over the last two decades plus now.
    I can't imagine anyone in Cincinnati wanting a new stadium until at least after Joe retires with a few SB victories under his belt. When they first built PBS there were lawsuits and a LOT of controversy over Hamilton County paying for it. Whenever it eventually needs replaced though I can't imagine most of the ticket buying fans wanting a roof - most of Who Dey takes pride in not needing a roof and playing through the elements.

    Yeah, the only reason why Cleveland had their seats removed in 2017 was because they have a shit team. It’s not that they would’ve kept the upper end zone decks, and then added plastic seating, however, they probably would’ve raised the end zone upper decks by the floor too so that way they could add luxury boxes. But because the Browns have always had one of the worst teams in today’s NFL too bad ownership and poor coaching, they took away seats.
