Another video where you are lucky to not die or get seriously injured. I think you need to rethink your safety margins otherwise it is only a matter of time. You have a long long time of flying ahead of you, don't rush it.
> "I think you need to rethink your safety margins ...." Why? It's his life and it's totally up to him to chose how to die or to be "incapacitated" . In fact it's a natural selection in action...
Common, no need to be so agitated... there is nothing wrong with natural selection; in fact, if someone is not smart enough to live it would be a disservice to species to mess with natural selection on the moral premises. Human population are getting more stupid quite rapidly because too little die from their genetic handicaps. The morality is the product of natural selection as well; it had been forming/establishing for at least couple millions years when the population was/were tiny with no deficit of selective factors; today it clearly does not help to keep mutagenesis in bay. Btw, the introduction of tolerance for non-traditional orientations is quite ingenious measure to get mutagenesis under control especially where it's the most needed (Western world). Anyway, pls let me know if you still may require my apology ;o)
:) Ha - I may have been a little like that 20 years ago though - even 10 years ago when I wingover'ed in to the ground in Bassano. How's life Tim? I'm more in to sea kayaking now but do dabble in PG when I get the time ..
Yep me. Actually I live in Devon now but getting on a plane to Scotland in an hour to watch the England v Scotland rugby tomorrow. I know I know I disappeared.. Perhaps I’ll be back ..
I dont mean to be rude, and i dont fly a Boomerang (just a lowly Icpeak), however, To be honest with you, flying with your entire hands through the brake toggles on a high performance glider inland is asking for disaster in my opinion. If you are thermalling and end up with a tangle and riser twist, you are never going to be able to get those bloody gloves out of brake handles to be able to reach your reserve. You should at least keep your thumbs outside the brake toggles. As one who does similar things to you on high performance wings...I have to say this, if you are going to fly like that, you must maintain your focus...and remember to give yourself a break from time to time by flying away from the ridge to regather yourself. Assing around on a high performance wing in that manner for that long is only asking for a shitstorm. A flying buddy of mine got bitten on an Icepeak fart assing around in close proximity to terrain like that for too long. I was flying with him on my Icepeak, he started to get too cocky and when shit hit the fan, he spent the next year of his life learning how to walk again. Just my opinion, but its well worth considering, your life may depend on it one day!
The reserve is useless at that altitude. You fly it and prevent problems, or fix them fast or die. New pilots don't think that way however, and that is the problem. You can fix most, of not all problems paragliding. You just need the knowledge and the balls to do it. SIV is the way to learn it, either on a course or on your own.
@@SteveWrightNZ this is absolutely not true that throwing your reserve that this altitude is useless. Paragliding reserves require very little altitude to inflate. And even if the inflation is only partial, that can save a life. There’s been a lot of research confirming how underutilizated reserves are
I love it how he is trying to hide the fact that he probably shat himself with a laugh. Last time I had a collapse and turned towards a big rocky cliff all I could say was "shit" ... But I was still a safe distance away after sorting out the problems.
FYI someone downloaded a segment of this video and put it into a PG crash compilation, not sure if you were aware. The channel is "Epic fails in extreme sports"
BHPA stats show the majority of serious accidents/fatalities happen to new and advanced pilots...lack of experience in the former and lack of judgement in the latter. ...fortunately sometimes in the latter we get away with it!...Sit down and think about this accident...seriously...as it may prevent you from becoming a statistic. Safe flying.
Remember the air he fleis is totally laminar, and the easiest one to fly, with absolutely no surprises. Even then he manages to hit the cliff. This guy is constantly pushing the margins, and occasionally zeroing them. When the posting of clips stop here, we all know what has happened...

Ridiculous! Other people die or get hurt and you are there laughing, how is such stupidity even possible? How in hell is it funny when you get smashed to the rocks and you die? My friend is in wheelchair for the rest of his life, are you laughing on him too???
I am flying a tandem pilot in Israel I hovered with one guy named Arie at the Arsuf Ridge Arie Parachute pilot 25 years once at the beginning of his path he broke a leg when he crashed on the Netanya ridge for years and Arya just thought he was already a professional as he gained considerable experience of aryan flights advancing to Company Kangaroo 4 Sol Arya was stuck with this parachute many times upon landing at Arsuf Ridge I warned Arya to throw this parachute into Aryeh I didn't listen to me I pleaded with him and he did not want to go down a level to a more secure parachute one day we all met in the ridge and on that damn lion a voucher was killed and his passenger was saved Bans! those fellow hang gliding pilots waiting for take off, I guess they were very happy seeing you flying in front of their nose. Man you are really totally crazy and rude. You are going much too near to obstacles and other pilots also risking their live. hope we'll never meet in the air buddy
All the moaning. It's no different to wingsuit proximity. In fact it would be more survivable in a crash. Are all these guys complaining to Jeb corlis?
Tape a little piece of cotton batting over your microphone so we don't have to listen to all the static noise !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep your lame comment to yourself. Hes in more danger of being killed while driving to the launch area than flying.
@@freeflymonkey It happened he hit the ground hard and was in wheelchair .

very nice, which wing and spot is it?

Cool, nice to make contact again... it'd be good to see you on a hill sometime... come up to Ubley on a good thermic NE'ly and fly home!

One pilot I would not like to fly with. You can see many times the other pilots had to avoid his turns. Ego bigger than brain I think.
Looks so fun. I have 1500 skydives but this looks like such a different world. You convinced me to take lessons this year.

Is OP still alive?
Stunning site! Hey, have you ever flown at Isle of Skye? Anyhow, you used one of your 9 lives, don't use them all too soon.
I thought you were a gonner on the first turn. Those lads on takeoff must have been puckering for you. :D
Second turn I mean
Wooooooooow, cooooool dude!

That wing is a death trap in the hands of a madman, but man I'd like to fly one.
Anyone can handle that glider on laminar coastal soaring... Let's hope he never encounter thermal air, AND try those close shaves...
Thanks for your great videos and showing where the limits are - I dont wanna test it out myself ;)
Where is this place???
Ringstead, Dorset, UK
I would like to come there to fly, which season is better?
Summer’s best really, though you can get nice days at any time of the year. See my vid th-cam.com/video/S1TEjQzk09g/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for your answer. a really nice place! I would like to organize a flight vacation in those parts .. I come from Italy, Dolomites
If you do come over, feel free to get in touch (t.me/TimPentreath). You're super-lucky living in the Dolomites, I'm yet to fly there...

I didn't know paragliders of such high aspect ratio were made!
CCC Competition class certified or something
@@PhilippeLarcher That totally looks like fun. I'm gitt'n one as soon(maybe a bit after) as I git my N3 Pup flying!

If there was a little right yaw and a little more sink, you would have been exploring that wings backfly characteristics.. Cool site btw..
Never give a paraglider to 12 year old!
No, seriously: Show this video to your doctor, and let him find out what's wrong with you.
Where's the crash
