This is my first ever song I'm learning on the guitar (besides yankee doodle lol). This is the first what i consider legitimate song. And I love the irony in it bc sometimes it feels like guitar and music is what i've been searching for all my days :) I can't express here in this comment how fun it has been and how thankful I am for you making this and helping shaping my personal and private career. How did you create the tabs, do you know Alexi, did you just listen to the song over and over and through trial and error you made it, or.... I want to know so I get an idea of the realm of possibility for learning songs :)
Great lesson! I appreciate the TAB/time value notation, including measure demarcation. On top of that, you counted it out verbally. Loved how you broke down the sections, too. I wish that all guitar tutorials had these features.
Not sure how much you check this, but if you or anyone else can give me some support that would be great :) I am new to guitar, but I got the intro down so good!!! Thanks to your first vid. For this one, the first note going to the fifth fret is like yoga for my hands though. Not impossible, just so tough I can't fluidly leave it there. Edit: It's even quite tough to press down the string without obstructing the string below it) Just trying for like the 5 mins, my pinky is SO sore! haha. I guess all I want to know, is this something you went through at some point, and does it get better or should I find another way to play that bar :) Take care Ethan! (and anyone reading this)
Oh yes, I have experienced that for sure :) In fact I’m learning a song right now where I’m experiencing that. I would say it gets easier though. Keep practicing, but give yourself some long breaks, and play other songs too - that put your hands in different shapes than the same painful one over and over. Happy playing!
Hi there. Thanks very much for these videos (even though I'm very late to the party). Is there somewhere I can download your tab? I find it much clearer and detailed than other generic tabs out these, for note duration and bar-to-bar nuance.
Awesome effort, but you''re way too slow for the note progressions to make any sense. It made more sense when I played the entire video at 1.5 speed. But really good effort. I'm not saying it didn't help.
