I get ya there. I prefer them over Suction as well due to comfort, but that's outweighed by the difference between Zooka and Strike for me. Definitely not trying to invalidate choosing to play it in a casual or even competitive setting though! I still definitely think it's a solid weapon, even if not as good as the vanilla kit.
@@realrider24If you're going for competitive, vanilla, or the other flavors of regular are better because a good Zooka shot is game changing. But rolling Splatbombs, and tossing out Tri Strikes is just funner. So I prefer the TTek, or more specifically, the Octo Shot.
Looking at it again, yeah, I'd agree. Seemed like a solid weapon to me at launch, just unfortunately overshadowed by weapons with great kits and/or prominent counters to Crab meta (Splash, Machine, Splatanas, Tetras, etc.). Definitely wasn't helped by the brief rise of Ballpoint.
0:32 this physically hurt to hear as someone who used it until freshness 3 (for two licenses) and only plays zones/tower and won more often than not with it like it's just a worse version of APG from S2, it shouldn't work as well as it does :sob: 1:03 this one hurts even more. I mained Jet in S2 on the side because it was nice to have a backliner I knew how to use that also had Missiles. I literally can't do anything with the S3 kits, they're just bad. Fucking INK VAC? What am I supposed to do with that at the back? Protect a charger that doesn't exist? 1:59 I still to this day firmly believe that nerf went too far, because it introduced an issue where the cooldown is applied if EVEN JUST ONE missile is launched. As a missile main, I understand more than anyone it's not a panic button. But if you get Surprise Splatted (sharks, mostly) or you misclick, it's just too punishing. Instead of respawning at 50% you respawn at 0% OR WITH THE COOLDOWN STILL GOING if you have any amount of Quick Respawn. Kraken Royale camps jumps like they're getting paid for it (I've seen people ACTIVATE KRAKEN just to camp my jump before, only for it to expire right as I die, wasting it on one kill that doesn't even affect the objective), and Crab Tank is still the strongest special in the game, and people are STILL saying that Missiles is "the most annoying," "the worst to play against," "too oppressive," or even "overpowered"??? Like do people not know they can dodge the missiles? I understand that "just dodge them" is easy to make fun of (because sometimes you legitimately can't) but like...just dodge them? Move away? It's a displacement special, like Booyah, which btw is used to commit war crimes in Tower Control Overtime and no one seems to care lol. (I didn't intend to write a wall of text, I know full well I sound like a copypasta, I'm just annoyed that people are focused on the wrong problems with S3. Let's all come together and whine about the maps and call it a truce about the bullshit special balancing LMAO)
