    Well... the Elbphilharmonie should have been on your list. Has definitely a bigger impact than that car park.

      top from an architectural perspective doesn't mean with the most impact, it's also subjective depending on how they evaluated the buildings

      Hamburg should not been even mentioned. Watch a documentary about it, that project was so bad that undermined completely HM firm.

      You should check university of Baghdad it has the same concept, and its older
      Maybe thats why he didn’t add that building, because it was innovated

    56 Leonard NY is stunning. Id love to visit in person, the other works are fantastic as well and I know everyone hates car parks but for garage's thats the best one Ive ever seen so put that in perspective. Its also cooler than a lot of functional buildings so it deserves a space on the list. Dig the show guys keep it up!

      Aurora Jones I was on vacation to New York last October and the building was stunning but it didn’t fit in with the surroundings. But besides that it was beautiful!

    I like the ranking but I think the Elbphilharmonie is more important and complex than that car park

    • @TheB1M
      @TheB1M  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      We did debate it. In our opinion Elbphilharmonie is very similar to Antwerp Port House (which we’ve covered in another video) and that’s one of the most innovative and impressive car parks we’ve ever seen.

    Really shocked that you did not mention the building in Beirut The Beirut Terraces by Herzog and De Meuron. It is a work of art. So, is the Philharmonic in Germany.

    Do videos or a video on cork city in Ireland there are a lot of construction projects planned. For the city and the city boundary is expanding. It is the 2nd largest natural harbour in the world and it is planned to be a counter balance to Dublin as all of Ireland’s investments in the past have gone to Dublin, but are now going into cork. Please do!!!

    Do you have a 5 top Zaha Hadid buildings? I suggest the swoopy apartment building on the Highline linear park in Manhattan. And also the faceted jewelbox Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University in East Lansing (since it's in my Hometown, a welcome addition.)

    I can't believe other cities get such amazing buildings and Berlin almost got that ugly unimaginative warehouse...but luckily we explained to them that we don't like our Art Museums to look like our discount supermarkets and they changed the concept a bit...you earned yourself a thumbs up for that.

    hmm, idk about that parking lot

  • @celtongerilla6595
    @celtongerilla6595 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    D*mn! That parking building project in the list is far more useful and muti-functional structure compare to the "controversial parking structure" here in the Philippines.

  • @dengyaohou

    That car park is a typical try-too-hard design failure.

  • @Techischannel
    @Techischannel 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Though yes those designs are Unique i woudnt say Astheticaly Pleasing, especialy that carpark wich looks paperthin and about to collapse any second. Unless thats exactly what Astheticaly pleasing means "About to Collapse" though i think Structuraly Unstable would be a better discription.
    And based on what i said above its no wonder why this Opera House in Hamburg is so Hideous and Ugly. Seriously i laugth when a building looks hideous and Ugly and guess what i am doing when i see that landsore. Laugth. Laugth at whoever thought it was a great idea to place such a UGLY building there. Nevermind the truely unpractical glass Farcade wich looks like its Badly Cleaned or Maintained.

  • @nakinney1

    The birds nest is pretty cool, however, the rest of the buildings on the list are plain ugly.

  • @disposabull
    @disposabull 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Modern art & architecture is nothing but graffiti & vandalism. It's all hideous and ugly, I want some beautiful Romanesque columns back.

  • @DjChronokun
    @DjChronokun 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    ew, not a single building on this list doesn't look like complete shit
    A tower that looks like a shanty town slum
    A stadium that looks like a birds nest (or pile of rubble if you prefer)
    An exceptionally ugly carpark (that's mixed use because apparently even successfully planning what a building will be used for is beyond their level of competence so they just amortize their inevitable failure by hoping that at least one use case will pan out)
    Some ugly dance studio
    And some old power station they ruined by grafting modern cancer onto it

    • @Ozblu3y
      @Ozblu3y 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would agree with everything you said but bird nest :P and the last one
