Greatest band to emerge from the late 70's L.A. punk scene. I have seen them at least a dozen times, beginning in 1982. Always give you your money's worth; great shows.
love this band, Dave Alvin played many shows with them. John Doe forever. Partied with Exene in Mpls. as my pal was a great friend of hers, great time,
The band may have emerged from LA, but some of the members did have country or small town backgrounds - I know Doe and Exene did at least. So they were probably somewhat sympathetic to it for tat reason.
X's the music that matters one of the best live shows you ever see unbelievable lyrics Philly zoom on his Gretsch guitar Donnie bone break Gretsch drums John Doe Fender precision bass Xena are singing didn't get good until the 5th album always so I know it's but fun to watch best man I've heard in 40 years
Exene chervenka john doe billy zoom dj bonebrake.. i got thousends of records in my home but i can remember all the members names of just a few bands..
Which way is America from here? I stupidly moved back to LA in about '83 and feels like I've been thrown face down into a pile of horse shit. At least X is around to give me some sympathy. Hollywood boulevard is still there last time I went out and checked, a couple weeks ago. Still trashville but not as bad as it used to be.
I wanted to look like Exene and play the bass like John Doe when i was 17 ! Best days of my life !!! 🤟😆
billy zoom is one of the all-time greats.
Yep..spread legged ace
You know it, baby!
Love that goofy grin.
oh hellz yes
He quit the band soon after this gig. I saw them in Atlanta a month later and he has quit, and Dave Alvin was on guitar
I love how happy Exene is in this!
Corporate Agriculture is bigger than it ever has been (2023) but X is awesome

A great American rock band .
Exene and John: Punk Rock's Homecoming queen and king!
what a superb rendition of a magnificent song...
30 plus years and they still are in my top 2 favorite live bands.
same here
It's great how much this song actually sounds like X when you take away the 80s production
But why would you do that? One of the greatest songs of that era
I love the acoustic versions they've done as well, just as much, if not more.
I saw them on this tour. What a fantastic band!!!❤️
LUV Exene look at that Miss America!
Exene so knows how to rock a tiara!👑👑👑

And, it was the first Farm Aid. During George Jones set you can see John and Exene standing on side of stage, looking happy as can be
The band may have emerged from LA, but some of the members did have country or small town backgrounds - I know Doe and Exene did at least. So they were probably somewhat sympathetic to it for tat reason.

I watched Farm Aid from start to finish on TV, they never showed X.
Thats horrible!
They were on the Jerry Lewis telethon before this. Wish i could find the video.
There was more than one Farm Aid.
It used to be an annual event.

+Rockunstank I thought it sounded great. Exene was a little flat, but hey...that's rock and roll.
This band was great but would have been so much better without her
john and exenes harmonies are so enticing
