- 2019 has been a significant year for Alan Parsons, the legendary Producer/Musician/Engineer. After 13 nominations, Parsons finally won a Grammy for his classic album Eye in the Sky: 35th Anniversary Immersive Edition. 2019 also marked the release of Parsons’ first album of new material in 15 years called "The Secret". Most recently, the Alan Parsons Live Project teamed up with the world-renowned Israel Philharmonic Orchestra for the first time. The historic performance was captured on video by the producing and directing team of Trinity Houston and David Minasian.
Kicking off the performance was a song titled "One Note Symphony" which tells of the universal sound the Earth makes as it travels through space. Co-written by Parsons and fellow bandmates Todd Cooper and Tom Brooks, this powerful track is just one of many highlights from "The Secret".
Created as a tribute to the 50 year anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, the "One Note Symphony" video performance is further enhanced by stunning visuals taken from Writer/Director Bobby Bala’s upcoming sci-fi film "The Shipment", along with vintage Apollo footage provided by NASA.

Alan didn't write the main lyrics to this one, Todd Cooper (the one who sings lead on this one) and Tom Brooks did, and with Alan collaborating, it just makes it that much more incredible.
This is by far the best song on the new album. I watched them live on September 17th last year. I was there more for the old stuff, but this song totally stood out. :D

While most of what's on the radio is mindless drivel, Alan Parsons puts out intellectual, thoughtful music such as this. Bravo! A thinking person's musician. I've loved AP since Tales of Mystery and Imagination and this latest album is right up there with all of them.
Except that all the lyrics of The Alan Parsons Project songs were written by Eric Woolfson. This song was written by his sax player.
