Thank you again, 30 years ago I was looking for Ouspenskies book, had very little money. A bookshop opened in the small town nearby in in Ireland, where they sold me the book for 50 pence. Shortly after it closed again. Since then I was a bit starved of the real thing, which your depth of understanding and sharing has brought back. Greetings to Lara

      Hello Karin.
Thank you for your lovely comment. Very appreciated.
Yes. This is how it often happens. A fourth way book will come our way at some stage in our lives , and once read , a spark is kindled which never goes out. And sooner or later it returns. Often in surprising circumstances. The astonishing reality of the work has shook me to the core over the years. It's truth and supernatural nature. This is best summed up in Maurice Nicoll's quote from volume two of the commentaries ; when you fully realize that life will give you nothing , it cannot , and the work will give you everything and more , then perhaps you will begin to do it."
Lara sends her greetings to you.
      All the best ,
      Noel

Brilliant, this middle setting, position. I've been experiencing this in the making of the music for quite sometimes and my prayers have been answered.😊

      Hello Stephen ,
In one of his commentaries , relating to the middle point of the swing of the pendulum , Nicoll says ,
"There is not only yes or no. There is yes AND no."
He is referring to the neuteralizing force of the Triamazikamno (the law of three. I , e , first two forces , active and passive , can never produce a result until the neuteralizing force enters ) As he says in the read section , "it is only here that influences of a higher level can reach us " And then life is no longer the neuteralizing force , the work is.

Thanks for that Noel, great to hear that. I will buy the other four commentaries. I began with #5 and it is illumination.

"When more than two or three are gathered in my name , there I am amongst them."
    Matthew 18. 19.
The true meaning of this verse is that of aligning the centers , bringing them into a state of Iramsamkeep (I bring my centers together) "with personality active , this is impossible."
And there we have the sacred power , in that very alignment

“Without Self Remembering, Prayer is impossible”
“So when a man prays he must remember himself. He must be conscious of himself and of what he is praying for. He must feel the meaning of everything he says and feel himself saying g it. He must feel it is really “I” in him that prays and not a set of frightened little “I’s” or a set of mechanical “I’s” formed by habit.”
And finally a man can neither pray nor remember himself unless he feels there is both a higher state of himself and something higher than he is.”
Psychological commentaries vol 1. Pg. 155-156

Hello Austin. Superb share. Thank you.
Please also see pages 406-4012 of the fourth way by Ouspensky on the meaning of the lord's prayer (chapter 15 ). It is breathtaking , and of inestimable worth and somewhat miraculous.
      "Ouspensky was an angel."
This was frequently said about him by a number of people during the last few months of his life.
And Nicoll was blessed of all men to know him personally.
      Best wishes ,
      Noel
