Custom Squarebody C10 Build for US Veterans - Bed Mounts & Bedliner - Sgt. Square C10 Ep. 2

- Last week we built out the custom fabricated bed floor for this slammed C10 charity build and got the rear end centered and welded in. Now this week we're continuing on with our efforts to help support our active and inactive military members by polishing up the back end of this truck! We're blending in the seams of our multi-panel bed floor before mixing up some of the Poppy's Patina new bedliner spray to give the back of this truck a nice uniform look. While we were coating our sheet metal, FedEx stopped by with our Wilwood brakes; which is exactly what we need to get the wheels put on this truck and get if off the jackstands. With the truck finally sitting with all four wheels on the ground, we could make our custom bed mounts to make sure the bed of the truck is sitting perfectly level on the frame.
WIth all of this done, we just about finished our work on this StreetTrucks magazine charity build; which means it's time to hand the truck back over to Chris. So we're meeting up with him over at the ShowOff Series car and truck show in Ocala. And while we're there, we might as well have a quick peek around right?!
This isn't the last you're going to see of this truck though. We'll keep you updated on the progress as well as letting you guys know when it's headed to Barret Jackson so we can all see how much money StreetTrucks has raised for Mission 22 and their efforts to better the mental health of our brave service members!

We wished we could have used two new panels from LMC, but we were in a bit of a time crunch, so luckily we had that left over piece from our EV C10 laying around!
Dude the bed came out sick! Such a smooth transition. Usually it just looks like a box over the rear axles.
We wanted it to be functional but also flow!

I have been trying to save up to build my father one like that. He served a few tours in Vietnam, 23 years EOD (only one of a couple guys who ever disarmed a live nuclear weapon that was jettisoned). And the greatest man I ever known. He has never asked for anything, always provided, and yet he is driving a barely running 1990 GMC truck that is falling apart. It kills me thinking about it. Unfortunately i became disabled and it takes me a long time to save up for anything, but he is 77 now still acts 30. I pray I can make it happen for him before it's too late. Weird thing is, he does not was tons of horse power, or lowered or jacked all up crazy. He just wants a good 4x4 to get around and be proud of.

Hockey pucks make pretty good bed and body bushings. We would still need a place to place em on to though, and that's what Dave and mike were fabricating up there!

Wowsers what a nice ride. newer than mine though as I have a 1975 Chevy Silverado C30 Crew Cab Dually

@@SalvagetoSavage So far so good. Now to focus on a flatbed but also to have a mega cab built. The flatbed will probably be made of aluminum and purchased at a dealer but to convert a suburban to a mega cab after getting a short bed flat bed put on and to figure out a way to turn the front clip into a tilt nose with the look of a simi truck look.

You can! It's definitely a bit of a grittier end result compared to some other liners

Ok what makes you say that on this episode? That truck is getting a paint job. However patina “faux or real” has its benefits, it might not be your thing but I love it. You can drive the shit out of your trucks and not worry about anything
