- Our next TIYL upload takes Mr Aspel to the heart of the government no he's springing a surprise to a prime minister or leader of opposition but he's surprising a singer who started out working for the government. The subject in question is most famous for being the lead singer of Hot Chocolate the band responsible for the title song for The Full Monty. Sadly he's no longer with us having passed away in May 2015 of liver cancer and his episode has actually had a part of it uploaded just like Sue Nicholls and Martin Kemp's tributes but here you'll see it in full. Enjoy everyone as Michael Aspel heads to the old HMV Oxford Street store to say This Is Your Life to the late Errol Brown on his birthday might I add.
Legendary singer, a true gentleman, and one of the greatest gentle souls of all time. Super person, whose life was taken tragically too soon from liver cancer at the age of 71. The world could really benefit from more people like Errol Brown.
Such a humble and talented man, sadly missed. I knew him late70s when he lived in Esher and we remained friends for years.
Whole beautiful family.
Sadly missed but never forgotten
I never imagined that Errol brown is late, I so much love him with his songs, the world is not our home, we are just bird of passage, may he rest in the bosom of the Almighty
I watched Errol brown and hot chocolate on top of the pops on tv in the seventies when I'm a little kid
Oh wow, what a beautiful episode. Thank you so much for posting, and RIP to the wonderful, unique, brilliant Errol.
A pop star, a talented singer, and a gentleman. RIP !
What a beautiful soul Errol was. Thanks for your music. RIP
class, charisma & style. Errol had it all
Gentle soul 🥰he teared up when his mum was mentioned 😢
Was such a nice humble man I remember meeting him at Tramps N Club in 1977
My best group in the 70's
I love "Hot Chocolate". My favorite song is "Emma".
That song is sad but good
Super! RIP Errol. ❤
Great man, I come from gypsy Hill not far from his old home, rest in peace brother
Saw Hot Chocolate live in South Australia in the 1980's. A great show! Our group got to chat with Errol, one of our number wasn't so impressed with Errol, she asked him if he knew (a girl's name) in London, Errol said yes. Our friend, said, "I'm her cousin". Errol's face dropped & he "skittered' away. It really is a small world, our friend's cousin was in a long term affair with Errol in England...
What a charming man Errol was.. sleep tight brother
Elegant, talented and I truly believe, a gentleman. I'm grateful to have danced and sung along to Hot Chocolate's music. From the 70's youth club disco to singing their greatest hits with my husband yesterday, many, many memories. Errol blessed us all.
I have listened to HOT Chocolate several times 🎼🎶🎼👏👏👏😊

❤🙏🏼💃🪩
I thought it was very strange there was only one member of the band that put input into the show, that band member was Larry Ferguson, the rest of them were oddly missing why? after all they were part of each others lives for many many years there must have been some kind animosity with the rest of the band members.
Yes and no Micky Most either which is odd as Errol always gave him a lot of the credit for the band's success.
This is what we've been waiting for about his life . Simply great. Beautiful family, friends and associates . Thank you , You Tube it helps bring closure🙏💐
@@shirleycanida3273 Its not real closure is it ?the main question Was why was there only one band member Larry Ferguson who bothered to turn up on the show, there must have been some kind animosity with the rest of the band members.
@@yell50 Really did not expect it to be as expected it never is was not complete without the crew, glad to have gotten what we did👍💞
@@yell50 the last decade of HC he was practically doing solo. Fired the band, so to speak. He wrote all the songs.....
How come all but one of his bandmates were a no-show? Not even a video message? Very bizarre.....
He wasn't able to fly to Jamaica to see his aunt Dolores for 19 years? Very bizarre.
LIFE
For all the Hot Chocolate lovers out there, here you are... meet ERROL BROWN one more time !!! th-cam.com/video/NdOiHQy7vzo/w-d-xo.html
What a peculiar and awkward show (I had never seen This is Your Life)... Erroll is awesome though, as usual!
English over American lol, a couple of yanks
Mmm seems like errol and kids easily dismiss the mother.
Bit of a racist anecdote from Chris Tarrant there! 😲
