- I got another TIYL for you and once more Bookmaster Aspel is on Albert Square for this one. Here the subject in question is an award winning actor well known for playing one of the most infamous characters ever to grace Albert Square. He's also well known for starring in Ultimate Force and he's has earned International recognition as a journalist for documentary series on gangs, pirates, on the war in Afghanistan, the Amazon and the NHS as he's been on the front line as a certain pandemic took hold. Such a kind-hearted gent. Not an Eastenders viewer but I met Ross at St James Palace when I got my Gold DofE Award, and he was such a down-to-earth chap. Spoke to me just like I was a friend.

Ross kemp is a great human being and a great actor him and the late Barbra Windsor were so close she was like his second mum him and Steve McFadden were great in EastEnders together I would love to see Ross kemp back in EastEnders
You can see he's distant from rebekah even there and we all know now how that story ended.

Felt quite uncomfortable watching this. Partner never interacted with anyone which in turn made him uncomfortable.

No, he's right. Grant may have been seen on screen in early 1990 but Ross Kemp probably began filming as Grant in late 89, he would've certainly been given the role in 89 so when Micheal Aspel said you got your big break in 89, that's corect.

This was when the show was starting to scrape the barrel a bit. Or maybe trying to appeal to a younger audience by having more recognisable "big names" on. Either way, it was towards the demise of the show.

@@ismayb754at this time this was series 37 of the show it was firmly reestablished as a beeb programme and the subjects that copped the book were more beeb contracted than normal. For example here with Ross kemp, clarkson, motty and Gary Rhodes to name but a few were all contracted to the beeb at the time
