Dear Vera, you really make my day!! Thank you for sharing your experiences, the food you like and of course, your smile! I take a lot of inspiration from you, and I am still eating the foods you recommend (blueberries, eggs, fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables etc) and I love you and appreciate you so much ❤
I just recently discovered your channel and I'm obsessd. The vibe, the editing, your personality and lifestyle,it's all so interesting and comfortable for me to watch. Love it & keep up the great work girl 💕
Glad this layover worked out for you! I’m so looking forward to the next vlog. My best success for my own health is to meal prep. It eliminates so many temptations to take shortcuts when I’m tired from work.
Hi from Perth, Western Australia Vera. So glad your second trip to Seattle was a positive one. I’ve literally just discovered you and watch lots of flight attendants. From what I’ve seen so far you are real, say it as it is, enjoy your job and are fair with your opinions. I appreciate that. I watched one of your blogs and was subscribed in minutes. ☺️
I’m glad that you had a better time this time. I hope that you don’t give up on Seattle. Weather here tends to be better from summer to early Fall. I listen to your experiences here with some interest as grew up and lived in Massachusetts for much of my life until I moved to the Seattle area in the early nineties and I am still here living on the Eastside. I was lucky to get here early as I wouldn’t be able to afford to buy in here now! I have family living in Wallingford living in a triple decker such as you would find in Somerville in the Boston area: such an adaptable form of housing since it can be divided into up to three dwelling units. My Seattle family have amazing views from their house! It is the place to be on the Fourth of July when they can view the annual fireworks from their back deck!
Loved this vlog, thanks for sharing! Heading over to Wegmans this weekend - can’t wait to try the Core Power. Like you, I’ve been upping my protein intake, and I just feel soooo much better. Please keep making more vids & take us with you❤
I live in the eastern United States, so seeing the northwest is such a cool change in scenery! I always love receiving notifications about new Balanced Flyer uploads!
My favourite US layover is Seattle! Bainbridge island is defs worth a second visit they have the cutest shops you would love! And amazingggg fish tacos at proper fish! Never knew about the spheres area, will try that whole foods there next time, thanks for sharing Vera 🫶
Hi, I'm from the Seattle area. Family member works for JB and commutes to NY. Love your vlogs. I'm a nutrition specialist so can relate to your food choices. Love Chihuly art, travel, and your vibe.
Keep hoping to run into you On my commute from DCA to BOS and back!! I use you way more than my own airlines because our flight are oversold. Great vlog keep it up!!!
It was fun seeing a Wegmans haul! I'm really spoiled and have a Wegmans, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's all less than 10 minutes away, so I rotate. They're all good, I have my favorites at each.
If you get stuck there, Bellevue is pretty international for its size. Microsoft. There are some good restaurants. And Bellevue Square is one of the few remaining privately held high end shopping malls in America. Anchored by Nordstroms. Old town Bellevue is also nice. None of it comes cheap, however. In Seattle you might enjoy Ballard Ave NW. Or Capitol Hill. Or Golden Gardens Park in summer. Fun fact: Bainbridge is the home of pickleball.
I'm glad you had fun this time! Bainbridge Island is a really fun day trip from Seattle! There's a place called Doc's Marina Grill right on the water in the Winslow area (the town by the ferry) on Bainbridge that's pretty good. Pretty much all the Amazon buildings are in the South Lake Union area. Cactus is a great bar/restaurant in the SLU area, and they have best brisket tacos! I would say that SLU has more fancier bars/restaurants and Capitol Hill is a great place for nightlife that's a little more laid back. There's also a lot of clubs by the two stadiums just south of downtown by Pioneer Square. In terms of the last crew staying in Bellevue, there's still a lot to do if you're right in the downtown area near Bellevue Square. Feel free to hit me up if you're ever in need of Seattle area suggestions in the future!
I am working on eating healthier and meal prep myself. I have a drinkmate and make my own sparkling water. I think it is cheaper. I like not having to deal with the cans.
If you can make it back here again, you definitely need to spend a day and evening on Capitol Hill. Volunteer Park and Harry's Bar/Olympia Pizza for a laid back neighborhood vibe. Pike/Pine for busy nightlife shenanigans.
Newer SEA-based FA here! 👋🏼😊 Loved your vlog!! Just subscribed and I also started vlogging my FA journey. Btw, for the Amazon Spheres, it’s open to the public for free every 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month by appointment only. 😇 hope this helps!
I used to live on Bainbridge and worked on the seattle waterfront. That ferry is WA states biggest tourist draw and it was too cool catching people having the time of their lives on the commute. Try Ballard/Fremont or Capitol Hill for some night life with the locals.
As I’m watching this I just changed my pop socket to pink and my phone case is green, and I look up and you’re showing your phone lol. Same color scheme….Also I love the videos. I find them so interesting!
Hello my name is James Pittman all your video is very awesome ❤

A serious question Ms Vera? Is it probably better and even safer when you go out with other crew members than going solo out on the town during these layovers!!! Glad this Seattle layover worked out much better for you and basically weirdo free unlike the last one!!! Stay safe and awesome young lady! 👍✌🤠✈
Of course it’s definitely safer but if I only ever went out with my crew I would have a fraction of the vlogs to post since I would rarely go anywhere unless the crew wanted to go. I like my independence on my layovers! I have more freedom to film plus I have more freedom to do what I want to do instead of a group deciding.
Maybe the reason why the skin on your neck broke out is the detergent or the amount of detergent you are using; my skin breaks out if I use too much detergent.
Vera, do come back. It IS mellow here. As you may know, I am a Cali Los Angeles boy ( bot, at 82), and actually SEA ever seems that warm to me - always just a little too cool, temp wise. Now I know in Boston you guys would say there is no winter here. And I agree. Just miss SoCal sun. But, it is a most gay friendly city. Two mayors back to back - gay guy, lesbian woman. And truly cosmopolitan. Just bring money It is not cheap on many things, but no state income tax. One interesting factoid from the latest census. Among major cities, SEA has the highest percentage of people who live alone and say they prefer it. Would enjoy meeting you, should you comes back some time. Willing to give you my cell number. Stay healthy, lady. Herman
Great video Vera! Love the Seattle blogs because my sister has lived out there for 20+ years. I fly out to visit her and her family every 2-3 years from Tampa and see a lot of the places you visit while I'm there. I've done that Brainbridge Island ferry ride on two visits and loved it!
What! You didn't walk by the gum wall? Well that makes your trip incomplete...lol. I like those core power shakes but stopped buying them when I saw that they have carrageenan in them. Apparently this is such an unhealthy ingredient that it is banned in other countries. I live half hour north of Seattle and like all the different cultures you encounter there especially in the Freemont district.
I’ve been to the gym wall many times! I don’t think it’s a necessary stop every time you go to Seattle. Yeah I’ve heard about the risks of carrageenan and I know it’s not great so I don’t consume it every day but in a pinch I still like to grab the corepower smoothies for long days
I understand it now, had to google it. It's a follow the leader thing. Company is chucking them at influencers, you're all wearing them etc etc #MintSauce

So the PCC downtown will be reopening but with a smaller footprint. 🎉 But I don't know when tho. Hopefully, it will be open before next summer.
Woohoo!!!!

No more Seattle blogs ever as in forever?! Why??? 😭😭😭 Or just for the year?
welllllll I may have gotten lucky again
@BalancedFlyer I panicked when you said "no more PNW"...you mean in the immediate future or ever?
Maybe the reason why the skin on your neck broke out is the detergent or the amount of detergent you are using; my skin breaks out if I use too much detergent.
