I totally agree with you about a bear or a man. A bear will kill you, but he won't rape you first & then kill you. I think being raped is a fear that just about every woman has. Women do get vibes about men who may harm them. It is always important to be aware of your surroundings.
I run in the woods in the morning and started carrying an alarm with me recently - it's made by birdie. I got yellow, but I'm pretty sure they have pink. It's easy to pop on and off bum bags, belt loops, etc and you just yank on it to activate it. It's really freaking loud, has a flashing light and would probably scare the crap out of an attacker. Even if there was nobody around, it would probably buy you some time to get a head start or call 911 because the sheer shock value of the sound is on point. I tested it when I got it and my cats were quite angry with me. LOL

Have you been to the Japanese Tea Garden? Ocean Beach is nice too and they're close to each other. Born and raised in Outer Sunset. It's quiet and beautiful...the sunsets are stunning. Please be safe.

SFO has some runway closed for about a month or two and air traffic is really bad. My delay was 5h the other day. I'm not sure when they will be done with (renovations?). What I know is that here in Seattle we all are bidding avoid SFO. On another note be careful while walking around remote areas here in the Pacific Northwest, there's a lot of this kinda behavior around here. Much love to you!
Yes you’re right! Ted Bundy himself was from Tacoma. I remember learning that the PNW has the most unsolved serial killer cases or something like that. So weird. Our delay was actually due to a FLL edtc, thanks fully I have been affected yet over the SFO stuff, the rest of my trips have been fine. I have a fourth trip coming up so fingers crossed I keep the streak up!
I am glad you are safe. Google Maps sometimes will take me the longest instead of the shortest route. The most steps I have ever done was 13,000 steps at my old college campus on a recent visit.

First things first, I’ve been to San Francisco once when I had a California trip with mom. I’ve visited many of the big metro areas (excluding Boston, Houston, Dallas, and Seattle) in the US so far. San Francisco is among the least safest. Here is why, so we were in a touristic scenic spot, and the gang drove by and the gang members literally checked every single one of the cars (of the tourists) parked by the street including our rental one which mom was tanding right next to. Mom got almost attacked by a gang member. So, screw big cities like SF (or Atlanta or St Louis or Milwaukee) It is not worth risking your life. Life is very precious. I ain’t playing Russian rullet with my life ever again by visiting big cities life San Francisco. I am not a big city guy. My anxiety peaks up everytime I need to randomly/casually swing by a gas station in one of those cities to fill my vehicle’s gas tank. That’s why I always look up for the suburbs of the metro areas and their ratings on Niche prior to my trip. I always stay the night in these suburbs and stay away from the downtown areas and sketchy neighborhoods when it’s almost dark outside. Anyways, I currently go to college and live in a college town in the Midwest. Not only is Park City, UT hands down the best and most ideal place for me to live in the US in my opinion, but also it is in the whole entire world. (Speaking from experience, ‘cuz I am originally from Europe and have been to numerous places in Europe too.) Small towns in the US are the most liveable places in this world, and Park City, UT and Fort Collins, CO tops this.
That’s great that you do what’s best for you but I’m not going to quit my job and never go to a big cities again. I would be so miserable living in fear like that. I lived in some extremely unsafe neighborhoods at certain points in my childhood (trailer parks, project housing) so maybe that’s why I’m not so scared.
