I just contacted Malanika. I await his reply on waits to the UK.
I still laugh at a comment from a few videos ago "He thinks it's night..." because it just implies that the other person is SO FAR gone into lala land that they don't know night from day and yet, inexplicably are trusted with extremely sharp knives and fire hahaha

This is a awesome chopper I like this knife, everything, design, handle looks comfortable and of course the steel Vanadis 4 Extra. My best chopper I own is the Bark River Ja-Nap, 2nd is TOPS El Chete, 3rd is Cold Steel Gurkha Kukri Plus 3v and 4th is Bark River Bravo 3. A honorable mention the Fällkniven Moderne Bowie is also a really good chopper but not as good as the other chopping knives I own.

Biggest question - if you put an identical edge on the silky would it feather and whatnot as well or better... Would it still chop as well? Which would last better? You can buy silky for $90 now. I didn't even know silky made other than saws until I saw this video. Probably going to pick up a couple.

Looks great! Always love a good competition style chopper. My favorite is my Jose Diaz "pointy cane toad" knife in CPM-M4. Made around 12 years ago. The non-pointed tip version won Bladesports back in the day.
Monster sized razor, easily the best chopper I've handled. And I love big knives.

Niiiice boys, i too have got one being custom made currently and it is in 4V which is basically the same as Vanadis4E but being a disabled combat veteran myself ive got purple heartwood handles and the wood is just beautiful anyways but yes suoer stoked to get it and while waiting i went ahead and tried my hand at regrinding the Woodbuster by Condor which is also similarly designed but super thick behind the edge and really unusable in stock form so it had to be thinned down drastically however once i did regrind it the thing became a beast! Still just 1075 so the 4V chopper is going to be a massive improvement also these are spec'd out to be legal for bladesports competition!

I bought The Matt Graham knife years ago when it 1st came out, and I have loved it for camping, but I had to put some Paracord around the handle due to the Hickory was slippery when chopping, but now it seems so many have upped the anty on new great knife making. I do love The El Salvador steel Condor uses.... But they all are a big chunk of steel huh? Lol ya know that knife keeps a great edge though. It came sharp enough to shave with. How do you like the Wood buster? I am a Vet as well.
