    Who watches a sushi chef and complains about raw dishes...the skills u put into every part of a dish is enough to keep me coming back..since your days in the restaurant till now you're still on of the best to watch...
    Ps..love how you end sentences with "Eh!?".. must of had a great time in NZ!!!

      Imagine someone telling a former sushi chef to not make raw seafood dishes. I don't understand why people are scared of raw meat.
      On Valentine's day I cooked a blue ribeye, I was told it was one of the best steaks they ever had.
      I wouldn't trust Walmart meat, but I trust the head butcher at my local grocery store. (he's butchered 2 deer for me at his house level of trust)

      Definitely not scared of raw meat.
      But I'm definitely a fan of cooked meat. Cooked meat will always taste better than raw meat.

      I couldn’t agree more. This man was a sushi chef…at least i think he was…But i know he was a Japanese chef. That is his expertise!
      I still consider myself young at 44, and i learn new stuff every single day. There are a ton of ignorant people in this world…especially sitting around making ignorant comments on YT. They make these comments just to try and start something. I’ve rambled enough.

      Most times i would agree…maybe with red meat, BUT that is not a true statement my friend. You just have to have it prepared correctly! There are many dishes that are 1000 times better raw

    • @heruhcanedean
      @heruhcanedean 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@-a-strikelures1212 Have you had a fresh raw scallop, pan seared is pretty much raw still, and a cooked scallop? Oysters same thing. Fresh raw squid is so good. I bring soy sauce with me to the dock if I target them for bait, the first 2 don't become bait.
      Freshwater has to be cooked tho, bacteria and stuff.

I have been a subscriber and supporter of you since the beginning, when you weren't ready to make the leap to full time outdoorness and was still a sushi chef. Please take care of you and listen to your instincts. Chefs also prepare food in the raw. I hope you have a great time in Tasmania.

    I followed your channel because of your own style of catch and cook. Since you come from a sushi background, we get to see other ways of making food from fish you catch that are unique to your style. If those people just want cooked stuff they should just watch some jamie oliver or national tv cooks. Your perspective on catch and cook is much more interesting to watch! Anyways great vid as usual Taku! Hope you get to visit WA while youre in australia. Albany has some big squids you can target!
