This was the song that introduced me to Guster; it was the free weekly music video in iTunes all those years ago. In came my fascination and I fell in love with their music. Fast forward to 2019, Look Alive was released on my birthday and I was the happiest birthday girl ever.
So I heard this in the toilets in a casino in Vegas at the start of Jan 2015.. And I really liked it... But had no idea what it was called or who it was by.. So I wrote the most obscure note on my phone (was quite drunk) it literally just said "do you love me?" As that was the only part I remembered.. Any who... I've been humming it since then.. And I just spent half an hour googling what I though could potentially be lyrics to it!! And oh my god I found it! Lovely song
I worked at a sams club in the electronics department in the early 2010’s This song played on the TV demo loop every 5 minutes for about 3 months straight. Drove me nuts
I saw them live during a taping of the first season of CONAN performing this song... love it and kind of forgot about until I heard it yesterday randomly at a resturant out of town.
Brother's and sister's love to you Guster, we love Guster, and we think you guys are the damndest amazingly unique act ever - how could you go through all that in one take from one camera angle's perspective? hehehehehehehehhe Thank you Guster for being alive! You are alive! And you make us alive!
Guster always come up with catchy little ditties like this. Don't know how they do it but every song sounds fresh. I love the line about having marbles in his mouth, it's like dude I relate ! The video is perfect for this song very clever and I love the spastic dancing !
My wife & I had the pleasure of meeting the band back in 1999 when they were just starting out. They were playing in Toronto as a guest on the Mike Bullard Show. Nice guys.
Awesome artwork and cameo by Jon Sarkin, I just saw a piece of this video on a show on cable TV about Sarkin's amazing life and recovery from a traumatic brain injury that inspires his fantastic artwork.
I saw a segment on the Science Channel about the guy who does all of the painting, artwork in this video. Apparently the guy was a chiropractor who, as the result of an aneurysm, had most of his cerebellum surgically removed. Subsequently, it unlocked some kind of artistic genius in his brain and the guy is now compelled top paint and draw essentially 24/7.
Amazing to listen to a song that would simply not make sense to a younger person. Academically, perhaps, your high school or college student could understand its meaning, but the complex voyage love and relationships take and that this (excellent) song references cannot be understood until the traveler is well on his way. Like... some other kid told me....
Yeah I work at a casino and kept on hearing this! and I liked it! as opposed to Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Sia, and others like 1d, 5th harmony, train, rihanna!!! I can't stand that other shi7!!!!
This is my new favorite video, I just read the book after watching the show on Ingenious Minds about the artist Jon Sarkin. Fascinating story and this video is so awesome!
Good to see the boys back in long-johns. I wonder if these are the same as the old red ones that they bleached? This song makes me ready for the album.
I watched them at ETSU last weekend. The drummer plays probably half hands only, then the other half on traditional drums. Needless to say it is AWESOME when is is going crazy with his hands. The band was hilarious and performed very well even though we had a small crowd.
@HoldTheMayo904 Dont worry, leave it to us to appreciate Guster. Our appreciation is worth 100x more then the appreciation from a thousand "mainstream" people ;)
The Real Jezuz I am a very happy hipster, of the historical, non-recent colloquialism sense, but my comment was more in reference to the fact that a lot of people are commenting about hearing it on the Muzak at work first. I was looking for other people that have been following Guster for years. To each their own :)
+Quasita Nope! Long time Guster fan. Glad so many others are finding there way to discover them too. Always was surprised they weren't more famous! So talented!
I was doing community service today at Goodwill and this song came on, first time I heard it and I'm glad I remembered the lyrics. I googled 'em and found it! Great song
Stop Whining and promote the bands that play real music!!! Twitter and Facebook their song names and hits! Guster is Awesome!! Like this if it makes sense!
I just read the book about Sarkin the man that made all those painting and colors in the video The author described this video it's so cool to actually see it.
Okay so here's my story... I work at Petsmart as a groomer and this song plays a lot. One day I fell in love with the song "Center of Attention" by Guster. Today when this song came on, I was like "wow this is amazing, I wonder who it's by?" and lo and behold, once again it's Guster! I guess I've finally found a band whom can hold my attention for multiple songs!
Absolute Bravo. Saw you guys at Copper Mtn and road the car slide with you. The power went out and you just kept jamming. I have one of your first CDs. Time to pull it back out.

Huge fan of this underrated band. Guster is tight!
My 5mth old grandson stops crying instantly, no matter what, when you put this video on! Love it!
Great song heard on the radio for the first time today! - made me think of James ‘Sit Down” for some reason. (another great song)
I'm under so much pressure at work I sometimes want to cry. But THIS SONG COMES ON AND I DANCE WITH A SMILE!

We all find Guster in different ways. So glad u found them. Was it the Palazzo?
I hear it where I work! the Mystique casino in Dubuque Iowa!!! Seems like I hear it in one of the bathrooms I clean more than I do in the casino!!!!
Sam Thomas i work at a Caesars resort and hear this song everyday and felt your pain everyday until now!!
Sam Thomas good story wkwk
i do the 'write down lyrics and find it later" thing too. quite the struggle but totally worth it
I worked at a sams club in the electronics department in the early 2010’s This song played on the TV demo loop every 5 minutes for about 3 months straight. Drove me nuts
Yes drew, we feel it
But the real question is do we have it?

How's life now, friend?
Yooo. Are u still alive?! Its already pass 9yrs frm now
I like the quirky and refreshing videography! It reminds me of old jibjab christmas cards. Or a come-to-life collage. But in the best way possible.
I saw them live during a taping of the first season of CONAN performing this song... love it and kind of forgot about until I heard it yesterday randomly at a resturant out of town.
Still fresh!
No matter how bad I feel, this song never fails to make me feel better. It's like prozac for the soul.
...clap...clap...clap...clap...

"A thousand words I wanna say but I can't spit em out"
Indeed:)
Awesome artwork and cameo by Jon Sarkin, I just saw a piece of this video on a show on cable TV about Sarkin's amazing life and recovery from a traumatic brain injury that inspires his fantastic artwork.
Love this video, this song, and this band. Guster has the ability to put a smile on my face when nothing else can.

Yes, I love you!
Loved this song for years, but never watched the video. Now I love the song even more.

Finally, a video that was worth the time, effort, and money to create.
Adore it, simply adore it. I have felt this way, thanks for bringing this feeling back to me, God I want to be in love. Michele
I FINALLY FOUND THIS SONG THEY PLAY IT ALL THE TIME AT OFFICE MAX
+Malik Fox Office Max must play Hot FM like Home Depot does then :)
Yeah I work at a casino and kept on hearing this! and I liked it! as opposed to Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Sia, and others like 1d, 5th harmony, train, rihanna!!! I can't stand that other shi7!!!!

There's a little Christmas carol sound thrown in there. Yes i love the song.
I hear it too!!! U know what they say right? "every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings"
Thank you Buzz Lite for introducing this song and band to me!
Good to see the boys back in long-johns. I wonder if these are the same as the old red ones that they bleached? This song makes me ready for the album.
I've just come across this song and I loved it.
I watched them at ETSU last weekend. The drummer plays probably half hands only, then the other half on traditional drums. Needless to say it is AWESOME when is is going crazy with his hands. The band was hilarious and performed very well even though we had a small crowd.
This song keeps a smile on my face
Finally found this song. Played it so much when I worked at Sears.
They play this song everyday at JC Penny. one of my favs.
I worked at sears and they played it along with my valentine...I like retail mix ,they play universally good songs that most people like or tolerate
Makes me sad that Guster has put so much of their life into their music and aren't appreciated as they should be.
I go to the school that Adam Gardner went to!! Pingry!!
Going to the concert at my school tonight. So excited.
just saw them for the fist time on Conan. Why aren't they famous yet? Come on internet.
this is the weirdest music video i have ever watched...and i love it
But the real question is is... Do you love me?
They play this song at the restaurant I serve in...it has grown on me. 💚💚💚
thank you guster for all these years of great music
@HoldTheMayo904 Dont worry, leave it to us to appreciate Guster. Our appreciation is worth 100x more then the appreciation from a thousand "mainstream" people ;)

The lyrics are somewhat sad, but the music and overall tone is really upbeat.
Awesome!
