1997, I was 19. Just started dating this girl I met at work. We're married with two kids now. Time flies so quickly.
Hard to believe
wow man congrats so awesome to hear couples who got together in late 90s and still together. i was 15yr old in 97 and 1996 thru 2002 were best yrs of my life man. what i would give to return to that world pre 9/11. as u know 911 ruined america. i see life pre 911 and post 911. back to the innocent days of the late 1990 brother. hope u guys are doing well!
I'm crying
I wish it were 97' again. That was a banner year.

Yep same. Love this song and the feeling it leaves ❤
It’s impossible to listen to this song and not feel good.

So sweet. 😊 Try the original version by The La's. This cover is amazing and a classic, but you'll love the original, too.

Nice!! Great memory, thanks for sharing!
This girl has possibly my favourite smile in the whole world. Gorgeous.
She’s what I’d call winsome. Or a babe.
True that. Gorgeous smile, almost as gorgeous as my true love's smile.
Omg! I agree! She's so beautiful! ❤️

Her voice is so beautiful. One of the most pleasant sounds I've heard. I love this song.
it's the studio's mic.
It isnt. You should check out some live perfomances by her. Her voice is really that good.
spacegarnaal So it is... Guess it's not the condenser mic... A bit wobbly on the tuning when live, but timbre-wise she's consistently spot on.
I think pleasant is the perfect word to describe it

yeah right not like now we're so modernize. I remembered love letters when you want to express your feelings to someone those days.
The lead singer in one of those rare women whose beauty is transcendent, whose half-moon eyes exude unbridled joy, whose voice is of the angels, and whose smile is an intoxicant that lifts one into the clouds and the heavens beyond.
Leigh Nash has the voice of an angel
The nostalgia tour continues. Man, I can listen to these songs and it takes me back to those days. So many memories tied to these.
There's really nothing like the feeling of hearing a song that you really liked back in the day all these years laters. I mean a lot of people discover these songs down the line. But if you liked it back then, then you hear it now, the nostalgia hits different. (If that made sense.)😅
I can relate to what you've shared 😊
@@blu3j00Ls such a bittersweet feeling. You remember those good times then you realize you're years past that point. Oh well. Life. 😅
Absolutely !
💯
Oh that makes perfect sense. I will always remember the girl that would pulse through my veins every time I heard this song (Also Kiss Me by the same artist) She, of course, didn't feel the same way for me. This song brings all that back, but being married now, and with all those years behind me, it's only the sweet nostalgia that remains. (Along the with "This feeling that remains", of course!😊)
2019? Cauz' why not? Im still inlove to all 90's and 2000's Songs😍😍😍
What an extraordinary beautiful voice. A song like this could never be made now.
Next song in my 90's nostalgia playlist: New Radicals - You get what you give
Thanks for that. I used to work overnight shifts a long time ago and this chill song would always come on and I never bothered to look it up til now.
Yeah that one's great
Then try another 90's gem, Nada Surf - Popular
What about "Natalie Imbruglia - Torn"?
Its always the last song of my 90s playlist because that song ended the 90s and started the 00s.
I want to go back on 90's, no phones no gadgets. Only love letters and this cool musics listening with my GF.

Back in the 90s i was a pure metalhead. Thrash, death and doom metal was my thing. Still, i had this cd and loved their songs.
I can't think of a single rapper that endorsed this song.
Love This Band.2 Hits is Timeless. ✨
That unmistakable 90s - and early 2000s - vibe. No social media, no Tinder and what have you - when humanity decayed and that vacuous vanity took over.

Here's a secret that most people don't know... the 90's were just as good as the 80's.
Naaaahhh , not bad at all mind , but not as good 😌
Not even close. The 80’s was about way more than the music.
@@HockeyVictory66 I lived through the entirety of both decades, so I think I have a pretty good idea of what each decade was about. I don't believe you can make a strong argument that one was substantially better than the other. It would end up being personal opinion. Both decades were awesome, but for different reasons, and let's just leave it at that. If you prefer the 80's over the 90's, that's perfectly ok. I'm not gonna hate on anyone for having a personal preference. More power to you if you enjoyed the 80's more. But one thing is for certain, one is NOT substantially better than the other. They are roughly equivalent in my mind (but for different reasons).
Better. The Soviets were gone, the nuclear threat was gone, and we all thought everything would finally be alright. Peace on earth.
Edit: also crime went way down, AIDS went from world ending plague to a bad case of diabetes, and in the culture war it was a sweet spot between the decade of Dominion Theology and New Atheism.
I remember them both so fondly. Cultural treasure trove compared to the woke garbage heap of today. I feel so sorry for today's kids. Growing up in a barren wasteland of cultural mediocrity.
Absolutely, no reason in the world to remake this classic.
Anyone listening in August 2020? This song is timeless! ❤️
Abdul Haiy Sali I am and I agree!
So when is this silly calendar thing going to stop? We are all listening this during this lockdown, a lot of people are here during this 2020 for obvious reasons. Sadly there are thousands of kids with mental problems posting and posting the same comment over and over again, this has gone as bad as the Coronavirus.
What's next: the "nobody..." comment or the "hold my beer" joke?
@@DaveSwayer Hello! My comment was impliedly saying how this song can be so timeless even if it's August 2020. Also, as a health practitioner myself, I am all aware of what is going on and kindly use the word 'mental problem' on its right context. I am sorry if this comment caused you so much.

The song needs the original Beatlesque backing harmonies, from the LAs. You can take the track from Liverpool but you cant take Liverpool out of the track.
For me the La's version sucks. The lead singer's voice seems to switch to an annoying soft falsetto when he moves up the scale which he doesn't appear to have control over. If he does have control, that makes it even worse.
It needs the magic lead guitar of a great musician like Barry Sutton and the bass backing vox of another scouse legend in John Power...
