We have to negotiate with Mexico and we end up paying millions toward programs favorable to Mexico. This “exposé” wanders all over the place. It starts with two substantive interviews and ends with a Love Fest for the Democrat Party by a DNC operative and a former Canadian. Shane Smith cannot seem to focus on the subject at hand and his fixation on the precise definition of “open” versus “closed” border is baffling. It’s journalistically irresponsive to conflate legal immigration with the problem imposed by those crossing the border illegally and then exploiting the amnesty process to remain here. Meanwhile, the issue of cartel involvement in the border crisis was dropped entirely after the first two interviews. Why VICE decided to segue from boots-on-the-ground accounts of Art del Cueto to the disjointed babbling of an antiquated James Carville, one can only guess. I suppose you have to consider the source. Because Shane went into this, the biased leftists he is, believing there is no crisis. When it turned out there is a damn crisis, he has to shift the narrative as the libtards always do. This is one of the main reasons for Vice's bankruptcy.

Well ... there are people who live in the same neighborhoods as those Haitians ... as well as law enforcement who have been interviewed and have said ... cats go missing all the time. There was a man who was pulled over and had dead cats in the vehicle. They are killing the geese as the local parks. There is video of a man walking down the street with a dead goose in his hand. Some genius thought that it would be a good idea to allow them to drive and they have been getting into "accidents" like crazy ! I watched a video that showed an accident involving Haitians and a man walked up claiming that it was the 4th accident he had seen that day. I haven't seen anyone say anything about dogs ... however, you can find multiple videos of residents and law enforcement officers being interviewed and stating that they are in fact eating cats. There is also a video of a lady who was actively eating a cat when the police arrived at the scene after being called. They took photographs of the cat hair that the lady still had on her lips ! The southern border is completely open, women and children are being s-xually abused on their journey to the border, there are over 320,000 children who entered the country and are currently unaccounted for. I wasn't alive when immigrants were arriving at Ellis Island. However, I wouldn't compare that to people being smuggled across the border in the middle of the night and not entering through the ports of entry. Unfortunately, the lies these people spew don't have the effect they want when people who actually spend time researching these things decide to speak up. There are videos recorded by people in Ohio as well as at the borders so you can see what is going on for yourselves !!! Multiple videos, recorded by different people who are not working for any corporation.

I love that Shane is only getting 300 comments in 5 days
The second half of that was straight up Democratic Party propaganda bullshit.
Can’t blame the people from the Southern States….
Shane coming out of hiding finally.
😢lib
So, what you're saying is - Peter, after having been pushed into lockers and being called a "chicken nugget scoon" is actually doing better than he was before?
@@-thefightingviper5319 lmfao finally someone knows the true meaning of my username. Chicken nugget scoon
Shane is a terrible interviewer. What a stupid clickbait title. Of course it is a crisis. Sick of people trying to justify this BS. Vice sucks.
Channel 5 is the new, old vice
250-500 a day to catching 3-5000 a year the math ain’t mathin.
Is this interviewer drunk or something?! 🤨 also the constant interruptions and interjections over the interviewee are IRRITATING AF. Vice turned into hot garbage and it’s staying that way.. clicked because I thought they were back with some quality content.. nope same garbage but somehow worse smh
I'm a new border patrol agent I find this video interesting. In the border patrol we keep it simple. What's a gotaway? It's a "got away" 😂😂
what’s the pay like where ur at? i was shocked when i heard border patrol agents in san diego are not paid a living wage… i was like- no wonder they just pass us thru… they’re not paid enough to care!
Water flows uphill…..to $
It's an act of war. So put our armed military on our borders....
Vice is back and less gay?! Let’s go. 🙌🏻
Great reporting and unique perspectives from people working this disaster. Nice work getting the union guy on there.
Interesting topic. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is ask them ranch owners on the border what they’ve been dealing with and what results from their complaints? This feels too propagandist especially that woman that was interviewed. She obviously didn’t vote for Trump. We get it!
I feel that it's mind boggling that Italian descendants can act racist I'm Italian and I think we forgot that our ancestors really did suffer.
It's only mind boggling until you understand whiteness as a concept rather than a biological reality. Italians weren't white once upon a time. But now they are. See? "White" doesn't really mean anything. It's a subjective social construct..... just like borders! You're welcome btw.
THE BI PARTISAN BILL that was Proposed and Defeated would have handled this. S.T.O.P with the drama!!!
This is bad on so many levels.
So Trump’s first team knew nothing about the asylum clause in our immigration policy but now they’re going to fix it?😂
Shane is transitioning into Alex Jones at a fast pace.
He was always like this. Now that he is covering an issue from a pov that you disagree with you thinks he's turning intoAlex Jones. This is the same guy who was one of the first journalists to cover north Korea by actually going there and put his life on the line as journalist in multiple documentaries.
@@maxwellsope1080 Going to North Korea and going to Alex Jones are two separate issues I suppose
@@AchtungAffen I'm just saying this guy covers everything from all perspectives. I bet you they have covered this same issue from the lefts side as well.
So I live on the border and fyi the wall ends next to the mountain and it has been open for years
Just get rid of the asylum laws and system. Let's stop pretending we are a nation of compassion to the needy around the world.
the second you 'recommend' the channel I skip.
Just move NTC Army training Center to the Border with on going Tank maneuvers 24/7.
I live on the border, Immigration is a multigenerational issue. There's no crisis. I don't see people yelling at birds to get off their lawn and remain in Mexico. No reason to dehumanize, demoralize, or demonize human beings for doing what we've done since we had feet to walk.
Can I come break into your house and eat your food cause my family hungry? Would you just let that slide? it ok to just break the law?
@@tyescott3561 people don't travel that far under those conditions just to break into our houses. They are people like you and me. Seeking asylum is not illegal. Title 42 remain in Mexico was covid policy and the global public health emergency is over. Stop falling for media manipulation to catastrophize and fear whatever the boogeyman of the day is.
20m illegal immigrants is a crisis. Cartels making billions off human trafficking is a crisis. Fentenyl at 50 cents a pop is a crisis. Open your eyes.
Cartels trafficking people and drugs are a crisis.
We as a nation. We need to help border patrol!! trump will not help. If he plans to help. Why didn't he in 2016. This will take the people!!! We have to remember they are human.
In my opinion none of them were detained because they were released
Ur right nelson Mandela was never inprisoned because he got out
Carville's spiel aged well 😂. Otherwise great podcast Shane.
As if VICE has any credibility...
nobody thinks "open border" means the gate is wide open Shane... either you are slow or you assume your audience is slow
MAGA Cult is slow...😅
He knows it's metaphor...still playing dumb
explains why Vice failed
Good stuff man
joe rogan smoked shane on this topic, bro couldnt answer a single question....
Why not challenge him on the legislation that was blocked in the Spring? To say it’s broken…well, republicans kept it broken!
no briben broke this on day 1
The amnesty bill that six democrats voted against?
Amnesty for people who were brought to this country as children were raised and educated here are fluent in English and have jobs. That just makes sense.
@ The one challenge is that once they have amnesty they can sponsor an unlimited number of their low skilled low educated non English speaking relatives into the U.S. An amnesty for 10 million DACA can become 100 million.
gobic1319
Those 50 year old children yes
It's been pointed out for Ten Twenty Years...This is Business as usual.
This fentanyl crisis take just blown my mind. Full circle indeed.
You're absolutely right it kills 100,000 Americans every year that's more than died in the whole Vietnam War.
8-9 million job openings my ass. Stop the cap.
I like that they bring up the lies... as if illegal immigrants will be able to vote here or even more ridiculous that dems are bringing them here for that
I like what's being said here, but I feel I should point out something. The sheriff seems like an honest guy, but his information on how the precursors are coming in is outdated, and currently incorrect. The cartels used to ship them from china, but now they are all being made by the cartels. So you could blame china for how they got started, but now China is not to blame. It's an important distinction.
Nope, the precursors get manufactured in China and get sent to Mexico through the west coast ports. Saludos desde el sureste Mexicano.
Its a podcast. =)
Well ... there are people who live in the same neighborhoods as those Haitians ... as well as law enforcement who have been interviewed and have said ... cats go missing all the time.
You have no idea what you're talking about, you're just repeating lies like a parrot.
@@Khalkara Look, it's just part of having low food security in a developing nation - in Haiti it is *in no way uncommon* to eat cats. Regardless of the commenter above, this is real. There is a region of Haiti where it is a Christmas season tradition to eat cat. Try this on: do a search for "eating cats in haiti" or "haitians eat cat", or any permutation of the like, excluding results from this year, and just see what comes up. Reality doesn't care what you think is racist or what the government wants you to believe, it just sits there, staring at you blankly, eating a cat, not a care in the world. I'm not saying you need to eat cat like a haitian, but we can aspire to be more like that.
@@EdwardsComment No, its not. You too are drunk on koolaid.
There is no evidence of "pets going missing all the time" in the place he is referring to.
There is no evidence that Haitian immigrants are stealing (let alone eating) pets.
What you're doing with the search suggestion is 100% confirmation bias. If you google for something, there's a huge chance you're gonna find some result of the thing you're searching for.
I can google "american shitting in street" and probably find a result. That doesn't mean that this is evidence that tons of americans are shitting in the street or that this is normalized behaviour in the USA.
You are not living in reality, but in a fantasy sold to you by right wing propagandists. Get help.
Yeah, the driving stuff is insane.
You two answer to mike moore as jabba
I watched a few people swim across the Rio Grande, get through the wire, and throw away their passports! Why are they doing that? Are they criminals? Why are they allowed in without any form of identification?
No you didn’t, stop capping. 😂
FOS…why didn’t you stop em John Wayne?!?
Did you collect the passports and turn them in? Nah, because that didn’t happen.
So they can’t be sent back if they don’t know where they come from genius
can somebody explain why US military and Penal troops are not patrolling the border??, the US has the highest prison population in the world
I feel the reporter can see thru some of the bull the union guy was saying....he does exaggerate some stuff......start raiding border Banks...
Jesus. It does look like a slow motion world war Z at the border.
Is Carpet shoes a derogatory term?
Delia Ramirez couldn't be more wrong. Sure, it's political. But only because it has to be. The problems are real. The dangers are real. Ellis island and the past are the past. This is the modern world. We can't talk honestly if this is how we start the conversation. The boarder is in effect open, even if not officially by your definition of an open border. And of course climate must be mentioned too, huh? And hear this loud and clear. The issue has nothing to do with skin color.
250-500 a day does not add up to a few thousand per year. How am I supposed to trust anything you say when you cant even do simple addition?
I find it funny that no one talks about us citizen has to follow the rules to get into northern boarder or any other country boarder with control documentation cant just walk over without docs.
Thank you Shane for bringing VICE back .
@shanesmith finally pullin your ass out of your head ?
You realize this is still going on up here in NNY they walking thru the dang woods and crossing right over ez pz
And all the guns they keep sending to mexico?? How do they got those 50 caliber gun on the "monster" ?? From US citizens
Guns dont kill people, cartel members kill people.
44:00 many relatives... please let them in.
This was great but there were actual videos of Haitian immigrants eating cats/dogs
It looks like you have to be a certain kind of person to be a border guard
Don’t speak on stuff you know ABSOLUTELY nothing about
the difference is....... THREATS from other Continents.
The spicy old man in the red hat for president ❤❤❤
I was wondering. Is he wearing a trump hat? 😂
