I think I watched this video a few months ago but had forgotten to subscribe to your channel. My long abandoned flashlight hobby was revived when I bought the Wurkkos TS22 XHP70.3 Hi 5000K.
Not long after I went for the Sofirn SC33 and then ordered the Wurkkos TS23. I thought the SC33 was big until that TS23 arrived! 😅 🔦

Wow! Thats awesome my man. You are a true fan of the xhp70.3hi. If you want something to blow your mind, check out the Sofirn sp60. Beautiful beam. Convoy L21b would be similar to sp60 and much cheaper, if you want a bigger light with the xhp70.3 hi, I also recommend trying a few different tints and a high cri version. I put the 4000k high cri 70.3hi in a lot of my lights and love the beam

@@marcgossling8260 Thanks for the recommendation! I'm a big fan of Wurkkos and Sofirn lights (to a lesser extent, Convoy). I took a crash course on flashlights and have already bought fifteen of them this year alone. 🔦😭
Although I like the XHP 70.3 LED, most of my FLs come with either the XHP50.2 or SFT-40 emitter. I currently have the old TS25 on order with quad Nichia 391D LEDs (I like those Anduril thingies).
I haven't really given twin 21700 cell flashlights a second look and the only compact throwers that I have are the Sofirn IF22a and the Wurkkos TS11 with the 18650 tube. The Wurkkos TD01c did strike my fancy but wonder if it's worth getting that, because the IF22a is also a single 21700 thrower.
I find Convoy lights to be relatively inexpensive, but they look more industrial to me and I don't really fancy its Biscotti(?) UI.
My only Convoy is an M1 with the green CSLMN.1 F1 Osram emitter. It came in the cheapest, unmarked plain cardboard box I've seen with an internal bubble wrapping, no clip and no instruction manual. Heck, the M1 doesn't even have a LED power indicator (although it can do a voltage check through a series of blinks).
OK, I'm going to check out the Sofirn SP60 soon! 🙂

Ya convoy is cheap and basic. One of the reasons I love them. Tons of power for less than any other company. I used to love auxiliary lights, but now I don’t use them at all, I don’t want anything to kill my battery except a powerful led. Of course the step above convoy would be wurkkos and sorfirn, which have way more frills surprising. Thank you for watching and feel free to ask me any questions if you have any. Best of luck down this rabbit hole of flashlight life

Thanks for the reviews. The size is just about as big as I wish to go but I do need the lumens of the high for long periods, they say it’s 1800 lumen. However, how realistic is having it on high and it just lasting on that amount of lumens for about an hour non stop for hiking. I know turbo won’t last more than a minute, as like most, but what about high on the sc33 in real life using the stock battery? Is this even possible due to heat, or does it also step down from high like turbo does? I used to own an if25a and the size was amazing but that was useless for consistent high output due to heat, so I’m pandering if this will fare better for my actual needs or do I have to go to a completely different size and budget of flashlight to get what I need out of.

    • @marcgossling8260
      @marcgossling8260  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

I know there’s some graphs of how long this light can sustain lumens, but 1800 seems a little high for a light like this. I’m sure it can sustain 8-900, but not 1800. If you need something that can sustain that kind of light for an hour, I’d recommend the wuben x1. You’re going to be hell bent trying to find a smaller light that can produce that output for a hour

I use it now instead of my SP33S, I do prefer the side switch for walking on the SP33S, but I am slowly adjusting to the SC33. If they release a side siwtch version, this light will probably be a gift to my father. So the autolockout will prably be good, so I don't have to replace his pants when he burns holes in his pockets llol. Some have said the e-switch is bad, but when you read his comments, he is refering of how to access the e-switch vs the side switch of the TS-22
Like Mark said, there is a lot of negativity, even some unfounded "review" on reddit that says a lot of negative things. I really question the Flashlight knowledge of that redditor.
I have a Sofirn SP60 so I was already aware of the autolockout. I have actually been half afraid that my SP33S turn on on it's own lol
I have been buying Sofirn because I like the non-Anduril interface they have. It doesn't have 15 modes to select the modes, and I don't need to spend an hour learning an interface to then set it up the way I want.
I have to say 1 thing I have done, since I only have the 1X 21700 and no external charger, I use the USB port to recharge it. SO I don't take the battery out, I added electrical tape on the battery on both ends, so it doesn't bounce as much inside the battery tube. I found it didn't feel as solid as some lights because of the springs. and the tube is a bit wider than the battery. It feel much more solid when I ping it like flick my finger against it to test for metal solidness.

There's nothing wrong with having that feature? It's just that it's annoying that you can't toggle it on or off.

Also if you want 2000 Lumen you can run it on high that's Rated at 1800 Lumen? It will last longer than the Turbo. But it wont hold it for an hour long walk. I normally use it on Medium.

If you need a longer duration of 4000+ lumens, then you honestly should be buying a larger model. The 2,300 it steps down to at 30 seconds is plenty for the size. Looking at graphs and numbers can put people off a perfectly good flashlight. I was a bit disappointed at my graph of turbo, but in use I was more than happy.
4,225 lumens > 2,250 > 1,090 > 870. That's 9 minutes until reducing to 870. If it was a temp limit at 50°C you'd get 30-40 seconds of 4,000+ and then a straight drop to 870. I actually enjoy the SC33 behavior as is. Too many brands rating models at high lumens on Turbo and then people expect it to last a long time. I enjoy lower lumens for a good while of use at this smaller size :)

@@pizzadave9812 I like the sc33 because of the throw, the sp35t is very floody. I need throw for my job so I always go for throw, but the sp35t is an amazing flood light and built very well as mine is taken apart right now so I know it’s built well lol. You can’t go wrong with either one and the sc33 is sold out right now sadly(I mean I’m good as I bought one right away) I also like the new build of the sc33 with the electric tail switch and overall build, but my main point is the sc33 is better for throw and the sp35t is better for flood.
