I like it here. I've unsubscribed from a lot of channels because of what you're speaking of. As soon as they start preaching and telling people, ' do as I say not as I do ' mentality, I get turned off especially if they're throwing up filters on their channel where you can't say what they say and get your comments deleted. One reason I really like seeing the channel is it’s real riding like me with out helmet and using slippers (flip flops) all my motorcycle Brah . I feel the same way like you be free and enjoy your life because if you been watching real news it’s not good out there so my real advice to all is Jesus Christ is alive no question and you have to choose your own self too. Kilowattvolt bikes was the first guy i see build a battery and put in 🎒 hes here in the uk but Tommy's price was actually cheaper and worked out the same as kvb price when it got to the uk i asked kvb to pay installments he wasnt like Tommy and was quite arrogant about it if you ask me. Tommy showed understanding and grace and knows its not easy for everyone to do these hobbies and offer me to pay instalments top guy 😁

If you have no haters your doing nothing wrong. When you have haters your doing stuff right. People will be too busy saying it can't be done while the person doing it is just quiet and working the problem. My battery is a year old or so and no issues with it outside of my own tune being wonky lol. Runs great fast never gets warm hot or anything. People try to roast me every time that something is wrong with the pack or it can't do what I do with it already. People are too busy mad at other peoples success vs being happy for the success and achievements.
What you forgot to tell people, and the thing that all experimenters do, is we have some bikes/motorcycles for reliability and at least one we build to RACE. I understand why you chose speed over safety when you wanted to max-out top speed, as I would have. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume if someone is asking you to help them with a build, the main thing is speed.
Forget this shi... and build something awesome ,you're the best

You did kill your hub motor with your tune, you just didn't kill it when you thought you did.
You only adjust your LM setting if you are experiencing jitter. A motor that had been working just fine and is then out of nowhere experiencing jitter or hesitations perhaps and it occured to you to use this obscure setting and fix the jitter. Did it occur to you that you had already melted your phase wires and that was the source of the jitter? You had something turned up a little too high and cooked your phase wires. Don't use field weakening on that stupid Fardriver. You don't need it with the amount of power you are pushing. If you were doing a top speed run then yes turn it on, that is its purpose. It allows you to achieve higher erpms but to do that you have to be going over 80mph which you don't like to do. If you turn up field weakening you are just adding heat to a motor that already puts out more than enough power. Half the time the instructions will leave you puzzled. Too much weakening would also cause "idling speed is unstable" as it says in the parameters guide. That also sounds like jitter. Jitter is very quick though and presents almost like a faulty hall sometimes.
The LM setting if it wasn't helping changing it, as in no difference ,put it back to the default of 22. It flat out tells you can burn your motor if the value is too low "the current cannot be controlled".
But I'm guessing you had already done the damage and the damage was why you were messing around with a setting best left alone even by experienced tuners.
I can't say I was surprised when you melted motors. You hit a Fardriver and then that day it the next day you are posting a tutorial on tuning Fardrivers. What's one of the first things you say to do? Well disable that pesky thermal sensor in your motor instead of telling people how to choose the correct one. This thing that prevents motors from being melted, who would need that silliness? I just hope you didn't cause anyone else to melt their motor too with that horrible advice. Just randomly pick a sensor kids and then look at the temp in the app, does it match ambient temp where you are, no...try a different one. Or you could get crazy and look at the spec sheet for your motor which for a QS273 is a KTY83/122. Same one for many other QSMotors also.
You don't get a controller one day and then become an expert tuner. You didn't even know that the ends of each of the phases are tied together in the motor for crying out loud. A controller is a 3 phase inverter. That is AC power coming out of it. There is no negative it's a neutral and all 3 phases share it.
I know you watch you ebikebuilder. So has he inspired you to get a VESC and start learning how to tune for real. I'm guessing not because he is just clueless as hell. How many months has it been and he is still lost in the wilderness. But somehow he is writing scripts for it like he is a cider when all he has to do was change normal settings to achieve the same thing without causing ongoing issues. It's ok to not know what you are doing but when you are sharing knowledge you kind of have a responsibility to actually know what you are doing. What I see quite a bit is people trying to teach others and when I watch the content what I see is a guide of what NOT to do. So many months later. It is not THAT hard. There are hundreds of settings yes but really unless you have a very specific need there are maybe 20 or 25 you actually need to know. It's a very flexible controller for everything from powered surfboards to skateboard to bikes to motorcycle and even unicycles if you want a crazy slow that is only 72v.
Your bikes is not that fast. I hate to tell you this but there are lots of people pushing over 130v through those motors. You think it's fast now, imagine 134v or 168v. That's a thing I'm guessing you had no idea you could even do. I'm not kidding. I've seen it now I'm gonna build it. Looks like fun. Time to start wearing a helmet I guess. Ugh.

@@MrDeceptacon88 yes sir...I just ordered the $550 controller. I'll probably make some new spokes a bit heavier gauge than the 14g I have in there now. I should probably got to 10g. I had to make my own since they want crazy money to do sub 40mm ones. I'm assuming that means they would also be doing them by hand. I have an insert I made out of plywood that was working out ok but it was heavy. The hub motor itself is 39.5 pounds, the 17" motorcycle tire weighs about 19 so having an extra 2 or 3 pounds of wood and screws is not great. Plus it was dumb and ugly and I couldn't pass a lock through the back wheel so that was the real deal breaker. I have a supersize 3d printer that would definitely get it done but I don't think I have the desire to push in that many threaded inserts. I wouldn't mind trying some of that Bambu Labs carbon fiber nylon though.... Hmmmm.
I just now finally got power back on. Sarasota, aka ground zero here. It was special. I have roof to fix and all the branches ever grown to clean up. Doh!
