M57 | 8HP Defender | Wiring and First start - First build in India !

If you’re contemplating an M57 swap then you may find this video helpful. Both engine and transmission looms have been supplied by House of Torque.
We ran temporary wiring just to get the engine started, the radiator has not been installed, the turbo actuator is not installed and the intercooler is not hooked up either.
Fired up on the second attempt and we couldn’t be happier. Will aim to drive the car next week and then tear it down completely to restore the chassis.

i didnt buy extra harness i used the original from the bmw you dont need extra stuff its all there anyway ,i literally clicked the key on mine and it went first time,had security disabled on the ecu too

Given that this was our first time, we opted to import everything from a single vendor. If we are doing this swap again in the future, we may source just the engine and transmission locally. Update coming soon, should be driving it next week

@@larrycorpuz2644 About 95%, the other 5% is simple things like power/groung, fuel pump, MAF sensor, etc. The instructions are fairly simple to understand.
