Owned one of these for about 4 yrs. Great for home use. Playing along with favorite songs on the stereo it falls into the mix very well. Just great tone that is hard to beat for $70.00. Just buy one you won't be disappointed. Even Walmart Stores carries it now.
@@johannessilver8653 I seem to get the reverb sound or just a good full sustain by setting the delay LEVEL at about 3 oclock, which is almost wide open, then turn the TIME to just barely on. A smidge. Or sometimes I do the opposite TIME almost wide open, and LEVEL A little more than the first configuration, maybe 8 oclock. That's The best I can explain it. Lol
I have this together with the extension cabinet, it's fantastic for taking to my Student Lessons and weighs nothing. It's not a Marshall stack for sure, but it gets the job done in getting the message across...Excellent little piece of kit 👍
Great demo man. You really did cover all the bases here. Sounds awesome with the line out or microphone. I don't need this amp but now I'm thinking about it!
I also have this amp and ext cab. This is one of the best demos I've heard. I don't have a issue getting a good sound out of this and don't understand why so many people have trouble.
I think some people's expectations are way too high. Like turning the volume and gain all the way up and expecting metal miracles. Maybe with active pickups but otherwise, it's a classic rock or nice clean sounding amp too that's how my combo is. It's easier to drive the one cab because it's only 3 watts. With the extension cab making it a true 6 watt 2 speaker amp, you have to turn the dials up a little too get the same tone. That's why 1 to 3 watt tube amp heads are great, they drive your speaker fast and give that full tone easier without all the volume of 100 watt Marshall JCM.lol
I bought the green combo pack with the 103 ext cab and ac adapter included for 89$ like 3 years ago. Just bought a Beringer TO 800 tube overdrive pedal on Amazon for $20(had to see if it would push both cabinets harder and give me new possibilities.) The answer is a already a huge yes. I'm playing a custom built strat my dad put together with 2 nice P-90's. It's a vintage ivory white body w/ white pickups. The guitar is wired to where the 90s are nearly silent with no noticeable hum or slap back. You don't hear your mistakes, but regardless I only played for 10 minutes and can tell it's gonna be fun. I just wanted to find another person using pedals with it. It's honestly the best home amp( or any amp in general for ease of use and portability and tone) I've ever had. The I also use it for the speakers for our tv. HP Jack out from tv into line in on the fly 3(6 watts). They truly shine. with clarity, tone and volume. Best buy on the market for a home anp.
awesome video I got this amp when it came out wasn't keen on it couldn't get the sound i wanted watching your video has inspired me to give it another go try some settings you used see how it goes thanks merry Christmas stay safe
I play guitar with this amp, i listen to music with it, i connect it to my projector to watch movies it sounds huge And of course it can shout 100db Man it is awesome
That was really well done, some great sounds. I just got the pack with extension cab and power pack. I think the speaker in mine might have an issue though, it appears to have a bit of a rattling sound that becomes most noticeable when sustaining a note.
I own this amp. It would be perfect if they had built the amp for 9V adapter to connect the amp itself with a common powerbank as like as the nux mighty lite bt. Unfortunately the fly 3 input voltage is 6.5V.
Great post. That's reason enough to get the Katana Mini for me. Was thinking of saving a few bucks by getting the Fly, but the Mini is really the one I want.
@@marike1100 I was wrong, I didn't meant the katana mini but the nux mighty lite bt amp. The nux has a 5V adapter for powerbank while the katana mini don't. The katana mini has a common 9V input so probably you would have to buy separately a voltage converter 5V --> 9V to use a common powerbank. Anyway looking at the katana mini I didn't find anything about the possibility to use a powerbank.
Looks like your Blackstar is miked to what? Your preface said the sound is the amp alone, by itself. I'm new to miking an electric guitar, but I see lots of people doing it. Thanks
If you need the portableness of the Fly then get it. The Debut will probably sound better overall and be better for home, but can't be thrown in a bag and taken with you 👍

Best demo of the Blackstar fly 3. Thnks man!
the sound with the pedals where absolutly magical
can it be paired with multi fx like nux mg 300?.

Love this little amp. Perfect for practice and portability. Plays well with pedals. Batteries last forever. The only thing it’s missing is reverb.
Some say that kind of reverb is when the delay is on but time zero.
@@johannessilver8653 what is but tine zero?
@@nadavmat3032 put delay level on max and delay time around 9 10 oclock
@@nadavmat3032 It means when delay is turned on but time is turned to zero. I don't know it this works, but that's what it means!

You say everything neccessary without using a single word.
Thanks mate, really helps 👍

Greetings Toby, from Glasgow in 2022. You have an excellent review format, thank you so much for posting.

Great review, no talking, to the point. Thanks. Liked and subbed.
Fantastic video and a great sound.

Best review of it! Your video have everything that i want
Marvellous demo. You covered all the areas. Didn't like the emulated line out.
So clearly demonstrated. Thank you!
Thanks for the review. Getting this ove the Boss Katana Mini now

ik it was 9 months ago but are you sure its not a jack cable ?
1:30 RUN BY THE FOO FIGHTERS
Loved the foo fighters riffs!
Great video!!! Those are some dope ass guitars btw 🔥
that jazzmaster is dope even though its sunburst
Awesome review!!
Love your demos!
Enorme! Gran video igual que siempre y gran amplificador la verdad me ha sorprendido la calidad de este amp y las prestaciones que tiene. Saludos!
¡Gracias! Really happy with how the video came out. Saludos 👍
Dude nice Jazzmaster, I was like damn thats gotta be pricey, but I just looked up the price thats a steal LOL!!!
Awesome video, great demonstration, cool playing and top notch edit!
Thanks mate 👍

Would you suggest this amp or the Blackstar Debut 10E? They're both currently available within the same price where I live and I'm torn between them.

Spectacular
Basket case is a must haha
Hello, whick one would you prefer yamaha thr or fly 3 with 103 extension?
Thank you...
Never used the THR, I hear it is good. I like the Fly but the THR may be more versatile 👍
Great review
loved this! great job!
Cheers 👍
fantastic video.
Thanks mate 👍
Fantastic amp for the price!
Could you make a new video with the Harley Benton ST62? :)
Might do one in the near-future on how it is 1 year on. I've recently sanded the gloss off the neck to a smooth satin, love it 👍
How can i get a John frusciante sound with BlackStar Fly3 ?. for example, what settings would you use to play "Cant Stop" ?
I'd try the clean channel with the gain up, then try your bridge or middle pickup with the ISF set to the right 👍
Shout out to Run by Foo Fighters. Kick ass song
Wonder why they put a delay on it instead of reverb
I wonder how does it sound to boost with Tube Screamer in front of dirty/gain channel of this fly 3 amp.
there is about 20 different blackstar fly three amps... which amp specifically is this one?
Is it possible to use it with an Interface + DAw for recording?
Yes you can get a headphone Y cable (headphone on one end, 2 mono jacks the other end) and plug it into the DI input of your interface 👍
Did u use converter jack 1/8 to 1/4 from line out to connect on the cabinet ?
Does the battery life drains if i leave them in while using the adaptor?
How do I get the evh sound on that mini amp
THIS SMALL
AHAHHAJAHQJQJWJWJWJWUW My first time here on this channel, cool
Is that Set Your Goals @ 2:17?
I do not like the Tele, but that tele sounds different, i love her sound
It's a Harley Benton, not a Fender/Squier. So it'll be voiced differently.
Was that “People get ready” in the beginning ?
Mercyful Media I think it's "Waiting on the world to change".
It’s definitely “Waiting For the World to Change” but the initial four chords are the same in both songs.
McBusted at the start?
Whats the song mknute 1:12 ?
What if you just want more treble or more bass tho..........
What song is that in 5:10 ?
Basket Case - Green Day 👍
Left ISF is more single coil sounding to me.
song at 1:36 ??
Foo Fighters - Run
It eats pedals .
In what sense do you mean that?
ISF control is not good at all... A lot of low end , poor mids..dificult to find clarity
Buy a cheap little practice amp, play through multiple pedals worth hundreds, call the amp good. shutty.
stop doing reviews and demos WITH PEDALS!
What is the song at 5:10?
Sounds like basket case by green day
