San Juan Airport: Silver Maddog & UPS 757 EMERGENCY Landing!

- Spotting video @ Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (TJSJ/SJU)! Spotting in 5/21, 27-28/20, these days feature World Atlantic's MD-83 in their silver bullet livery in a repatriation flight from Port of Spain (POS). The MD-80s have been getting more rare following the pandemic effects, so gotta catch 'em while you still can!
Also featured is a UPS B757-200F that experienced a flaps issue after takeoff and declared an emergency. The aircraft was originally scheduled to takeoff the day before, but after takeoff it also experienced the same issue. It ended up departing two days later to Louisville (SDF) without any issues. Nice compilation of planes, I didn’t know AA flew Dreamliner to Sju, I remember when I was a TWA mechanic in SJU and enjoy every single take off and landings, thanks for bringing good memories from working there in the 90s and all the people that I meet! Good work!
AA is "supposedly" replacing the 763 routes like MIA-SJU with the 787-8. Simply flying put out an article about it sometime in April or May before i was set to take my last trip on the AA 763 on that route. I've seen a couple videos now with the AA 787-8 flying into SJU. I haven't been able to figure what routes though.
Also, TWA still remains as my favorite airline. My first ever time flying as a young boy in the 90s (about 6 years old) was on a 767 to JFK with TWA. That airline made is what made my love for aviation. I was able to visit the TWA Hotel back in February before the pandemic got out of hand. It was a bitter sweet moment walking down the tunnel.

I love how the the video opens with an "OOF". The Beech 18 was adorable. What's your secret to spotting in the rain because it amazes me how you panned through those takeoffs in the rain and your lens didnt blur out from water buildup.
The trick is on the amount of zoom and... just pure luck that a big drop didn't landed in the middle of the lens. Thanks for watching!

The interior of the "18" has panels against the sides (cargo operations), so the glass is protected from damage.

Beechcraft Model 18. Was in production from 1938 to 1962. Was the Cessna Citation of its time.

Cargolux flies both their B744F and the 748F from Luxembourg. I see them fly over my house every now and then when routed around south of SJU. There's also a vid of a Northwest 742 at BQN, and as others mentioned, many more have come over the years.

Fué la Guardia Nacional Aerea de Puerto Rico y el accidente fué en el estado de Georgia. Fué un WC-130-H que iba camino a ser retirado con 9 ocupantes a bordo, no 12. Las causas del accidente fueron una falla en un motor y un error del piloto ante dicha falla que provocó una pérdida de velocidad que hizo que la nave se estrellara.

That's not a UPS 757 it's an American Airlines Airbus.

From what I can see in the video it departed on Runway 28, and landed on 26.
