Not only does it have to get around the roundabout but it’s got to avoid all the idiots on the path getting way to close to the truck without any care
There were people on the path, the traffic islands in the middle of the road and the Roundabout!! Including people with small children on the central island.
The the two photographers and myself (video) on the island liaised with both the Police and Collett's before the truck got there. We were all in high-vis and carry professional insurance for being there. However we were surprised at the number of people wandering around on the road.
JAmedia-UK no I dident mean you guys, you were stood away from the road, but I too was shocked at all the people walking and standing in the road randomly to try and get a video

I've seen large loads in Dublin port a few times but this is the first one I've seen with a helper truck on the back.
The whole thing was 225 tons. (excluding the THIRD tractor unit following on as a reserve in case one of the other two broke down ) The rear Tractor unit was acting as a break and also providing hydraulic power to the rear bogie. see interview with Transport company the night before th-cam.com/video/3Y6_1Jdkuso/w-d-xo.html

Not particularly quiet... It was at the end of 3 months of COVID quarantine. It wad the first time most people had been out in 3 months. Also it took out a major road junction for several hours so no one could go anywhere anyway. BTWThe town is 80,000 so what you ca see there is only a very small number. Also it was the fist of 4 tanks. the other 3 did not draw large crowds.

@@weldmachine Hi, nothing wrong with your videos. You have a focused channel (unlike mine) and post regularly (unlike me) so you are doing the right things. Look at the videos that do well and work out why. Then make sure you work on those aspects. You need titles and an end card with "subscribe and link to related video on your channel.
Also post the links to relevant Facebook channels. BTW it took me 5 years to get 1000 subscribers and 5 months to get the next 1,300 subscribers. so keep going.
Why do road tractors drive on the left when they are registered in England?
ALL road vehicles drive on the left in the UK it has been the custom for about 2,000 years and law since the motor vehicles arrived. Much of what was the British Empire also drive on the left. (It's only foreigners that drive on the right :-) ) The Trick in this case is left-hand drive (unlike most UK vehicles) because it only goes on roads that have been closed off IT was in the middle of the road most of the time.
Must have been a Sunday everyone is off work.
There weren't that many there. It was a Friday in June 2020 during a partial lockdown, so a lot of people were#t working anyway.

I might go an get some footage of that. Air Liquide were very tight lipped about it all and refused to give any information.

They had to plan the route carefully to aviod roads like that and low bridges. etc. There are many roads in the UK that can't take that load.

Actually yes it does protect them. From things dropping off, straps with metal buckles flapping around etc or them banging their heads when moving around under the tank. If the Tank falls on them nothing is going to save them.

No I can't We asked the same question and apparently this is a double skin pressure vessel that need stringent testing after fabrication. Also other treatments during construction. This could not be done on site.

Why are most of the extra heavy duty tractors LHD even in the UK?
Because extra heavy lift is a very specialist market (avery small market) and most of the world is LHD. see www.worldstandards.eu/cars/list-of-left-driving-countries/ So the number of people who would want a RHD exta heavey lift tractor is very very small. Thsi would mean that RHD tractors would be very much more expensive to buy. In any case they are only ever used with a police escort on closed roads so it doesn't matter anyway,

All welds have to be inspected usually with the aid of x-rays and the whole unit has to be pressure tested, I imagine it could be done on site but the costs would be through the roof. Cheaper to build in factories already set up and ship to site 👍🏼

First three nitrogen and the forth oxygen However ALL were transported empty and have to be installed first.

This things are a good sight to see for curiosity but surely to god it would be a lot easier and quicker to have a couple smaller tanks then you wouldn't need all them extra workers to get it through towns ect

In WW1 he military tanks were named after water tanks for secrecy. Tanks can be many things other than military MBT's Though you are quite correct this is a double skinned pressure vessel. Which is why it could not just be "knocked up on site"

We were supposed to be. There were a couple of us (socially distanced and well away from anyone else. ) on the roundabout doing video and photo the rest were stood in groups as you can see. I think they thought as it was cold and there was some breeze it was fairly safe. Though at that point they were starting to relax the restrictions.
If this really is 2020 I see no masks, no social distancing - Maybe Frazeley will be the next lockdown!
19th June 2020 as per the time stamp on the video. for 98% of the time myself and the two photographers were socially distanced (from each other and everyone else) on the traffic island.

That's why the movement was being done carefully.
@Stephen Snell a fact about the tank in question! It isn’t under pressure and isn’t loaded with OXYGEN while in transit all that is done after it’s installed on site
@@STALK3R001 You are quite correct though this particular tank was desensitised to have Nitrogen in it. there were 4 tanks, three nitrogen and one Oxygen. (the oxygen was a bit smaller and moved last.) These tanks needed to be installed and integrated into the system on site. They are not stand-alone tanks.

@@tonybryan2041 We did try to talk to Air Liquid at the time but got nowhere. Collett's Heavy Transport, on the other hand, sent someone down to do the on-camera interview to explain "everything" other than the cost of the transport, which must have been enormous. Due to the drone we have and the UK Drone laws at the time, we could not over fly the site nor of course get anywhere near the railway. Ground based video, before security arrived, was the best we could do.

Good Question... at the time June 2020 most of those people thought Covid was "all over" and it was "safe out side". The photographer and me were 2 m apart on the raised central island Well away from everyone else.

Fortunately I was over 2 meters from people 99% of the time I also had gloves and mask. However you do have a point.
One person turned up with his son and said everyone else had to move because is son had cystic fibrosis! (neither of them were masked of gloved)!! No one moved but then neither did they.

There are LOTS of places that store oxygen like that. Often in more than one tank which is why the facility will have four of them. IF you look on the Air Liquide web site you will see they usually install tanks like this in major hospitals.

No concern at all. Now sit down this might come as a shock to you.... Tamworth was one of the top 5 hotspots for COVID at the end of 2020! What a surprise :-) The Camera Team were socially distanced on the Traffic island and well away from everyone else. and the drone pilot was 100m from any one else.

yes it was recorded and uploaded at 1080p 50fps you should be able to get that if YT thinks your boardband can support it.(otherwise you have to manually select it)
