The other day me and my girl went to vegas and as we were approaching my car I saw dude watching me and I instantly knew he would try something when I got to my vehicle so I pretended my car was further and the dude followed us. I instantly walked across the street towards an empty marshal cruiser and the guy started walking the other way. Because I watch this channel I stay aware and try to avoid awkward situations. Thanks John!

Didn't wanna get robbed. From the way he was stairing and how sketchy some parts of Vegas are I would rather not take my chances. The vibe was pretty uncomfortable and why would he follow me then change directions when I started getting close to the Marshalls SUV.

Beka Machurishvili you need to wake up and smell the roses. He did exactly what he should have done, pay attention, listen to your gut. His gut told him something was wrong and kept walking. Chances are he isn’t a victim today because of that. When someone holds a stare at you or looks at your eyes twice it’s not a coincidence. Listen to what your senses are saying. When I walk out of a store or into a parking lot I’m the same way. I don’t carry things in my right hand if I can help it and my head is on a swivel always.
I did something similar. I was parked eating a sandwich and a guy was just walking around the parking lot. I was keeping an eye on him and watched him look around then head towards my car. I decided to pull to the other side of the lot and see what he did. He immediately turned around and walked the other direction. I don't know what he wanted or would've done, but I avoided the situation before it could be a problem.
Guy is so messed up, he probably thinks this is the worst uber ride, ever.

We had a situation like that in my battalion as well. It was stolen while he was sleeping, but he was gone after that.

Shanique Sewell The only cop that screwed up was the SUV owner who left their backup handgun in an unsafe location. Everyone else reacted amazingly and god bless them for being able to control and take care of the situation before a potential tragedy could have occurred.
@@joeyhernandez5078 nah man. Almost every cop there flagged somebody else, walked in front of other guns, or made angles that could have caused crossfire if the shooting had started sooner. Even though those situations are complex, they made mistakes that were way too easy to avoid. Poor communication. They were more of a threat to eachother than the perp was, and I'm not even saying that the perp wasn't a threat.
Yesterday watching these videos helped me in real life, I was able to see a bad situation happening and get out of there as soon as possible without myself or my daughter getting harmed. Thanks!

As funny as it is, media here is very biased against the police, and every shooting involving the police they try everytime to blame them, not the criminal. In Rio de Janeiro the police are forbidden by the supreme court to go into the favelas against drug lords and other criminals while this covid crisis isn't done with, and our supreme court also let loose some "low risk criminals" because of the pandemic, so my beloved mother land of Brazil has a lot of cops that are corrupt also, and others simply get tired of all of injustices in here and go on a killing spree of criminals, so either way we're screwed unless our laws get a lot harder on crimes, and that goes both ways, to protect against abuse of force and common criminals. Joining the police here is like having a huge target on your back and your front

The restraint of the officers to only shoot when necessary and not unload the mags is pretty impressive.
San Diego police are a different breed, really. I think they're some of the top cops in the U.S. I'm aware that this situation only arose due to a failure on their part, but in no line of work will you ever be perfect.

I dont agree but I believe that there point of view is such a good one that we shouldn't argue with it and just kindave talk about it and let them have some slack if they make mistakes, only step in if it gets out of control you know? But yeah I'd be a little more risky than letting the dog take the risk. It's really hard to say though as I wasnt there.....

11:08 the trainee (as you mentioned going to the car initially) goes behind the passenger side pillar. At 12:46the officer with the carbine comes up and behind her and the pillar to the car while she stays put. At 13:30 and at 15:48 you see the male go up behind the officer with the carbine on the driver side of the car. And at 16:10 you see her still behind the pillar. So while the trainee was being cognisant of her firearm as best as possible, it was the other that wasn't.
The officer who covered their ASP the best had 4 legs.

Dogs are trained to deal with a lot of things such as if someone is hitting them or yelling at them or pulling on them to not let go unless given an order as you indicated. I’ve also watched a lot of videos where I’ve seen dogs that are holding people and not shaking them around cause they are being still. They are also taught to not attack to kill but to attack to hold and restrain the person. So again they do not maul someone and usually the person gets taken into the hospital with minimal damage done.

But if you've watched any news in the last few years, it should be easy to see why cops are so hesitant to even get physical with blatant criminals. The media has turned a large portion of this nation against law enforcement.

That cop needs to be fired. He just needed to put his backpack in the secure storage area. If he cant simply do that, then they to let him go.

@MrBleach401 Yeah the cop fucked up big time, but at the end of the day the criminal reached for the gun on his own accord. If I ever get arrested for something you wont catch me slipping out of my cuffs or digging around in the back of the patrol car looking for a gun. This guy was a ticking time bomb regardless of the cops mistake.
A very simple mistake, unfortunate, but we all have our fuckups.

Wow, a serious number of individual failures within this video. Someone being left alone and able to slip cuffs, a weapon stored in the incorrect place, people standing directly in the line of fire. I can't belive something like this was allowed to happen. I think the officers handled it really well after he stole the weapon but that does not excuse the failures that lead to that point.
They were slow as fuck to get behind cover. They should all be sent back to the academy.

Ryan S I love them as well. I’ve always loved and owned GSDs and got into breeding with a K9 handler I know a few years ago. I ended up acquiring an amazing Malinois from him and she just delivered a litter of GSD Malinois cross puppies 3 and a half weeks ago. I am beyond excited to see how these guys turn out!

Body cam is designed to go back 30 seconds to 1 minute depending on settings. So the recording was probably started right before it started popping off. Just a buffer. Ours buffer 30 seconds
I think Its because they cant store data and high quality video constantly.
If the video has a 30 second buffer, why not the smaller audio stream? I don't think that it's a technical reason. Is it privacy somehow?

It’s scary to see someone bitten by a police dog, shot a bunch of times, and he’s still coming at you and remains a deadly threat. And then he survived it too. If he was on drugs, it probably numbed the pain somewhat and that’s how he can continue fighting.
PCP (angel dust) used to be famous for this: incites aggression and minimizes pain. Very deadly for LEOs to deal with.
