Hi Wendy! You are really amazing.. I have a question; How can you see all the details for a product like keywords, number of sales or reviews? I see it in this video on 3:56 min. But I didnt find which tool you use to see all the analytical details of this product? Waiting for your answer and many thanks in advance..
Awesome info, Wendy! Thanks for all you do! I have a question, I saved my file as a "PDF Print" and upon uploading the PDF file into Etsy to list, it says my file is too large at 40 MB. How do I upload a larger file into Etsy without compromising its quality and being too complicated for customers? Any help is appreciated, thank you!
Thanks! So I’m assuming you’ve created a finished product that your customer can print and doesn’t have hyperlinks. If you have hyperlinks and/or there is no plan for printing then save it as the standard version pdf. (Hyperlinks don’t work with the print quality) if the file is still too large you will want to create a pdf thank you letter. This becomes what you upload to Etsy. You will then store your finished pdf files in google drive or Dropbox and Link to them in that thank you letter! It’s the only workaround for Etsy’s 20mb file limit!
I have watched this video numerous times, going step by step and I can make it all the way to the end until I get stuck at the 'drag and drop into a printable 8 1/2 x 11'. I just can't figure out how you pulled up the gridded drag and drop page. (I can't see what you did 😆) I keep getting pages that have stuff on them, no options for a grid. On the bright side, I've finally started learning how to design with Canva!
Ok just go into elements and search grid 9. Then scroll across the top to frames. The first one that shows up should be the grid I used! Just add that to your page then drag and drop into those frames!
Hi Wendy Jo! Thank you for the informative video. I'm not artistic at all but willing to learn how to edit/modify your PLR products to list on Etsy and eventually Shopify. I see you have a couple of tutorials so I'll definitely watch them. I've subscribed to your channel as well so I can stay informed on your new content. Looking forward to joining your monthly membership. Grateful to have come across your channel. Thanks again and continued success!
That’s exactly why I started selling my digital products as PLR! Not everyone knows how to do the creative side so I wanted to help people get started. There are tutorials included with every product I make as well that you receive when you make a purchase! Let me know if you have any questions!
I'm an artist so I don't need AI to create anything but the clue for me is how to sell my product ? I tried with prints many years ago and no results. My listings were like invisible. Could you make a video and tell us how to make your stuff seen, found on etsy ? That would help a lot.
Thanks for the wonderful video. I'm intrigued by a specific feature on Etsy. When you create a listing for a physical product and offer the option to purchase its digital version as well, how is the confirmation process handled for these digital transactions? Given that physical items require tracking numbers-an element obviously not applicable to digital items-I'm quite interested in understanding the procedure used in such cases.
Digital products are stored in the buyers purchases that they can access on the desktop version of Etsy. You will aslo receive a confirmation of delivery. It is instant so there really isn't any follow-up necessary on your part. Etsy keeps track of orders and takes care of the delivery. Do the work once...get paid over and over!
Great video! However, I tried to open a 2nd shop with a different email to do this and it got permanently shut down in this case would you suggest that it’s OK to have an Etsy shop with multiple industries in it?
Had you been suspended previously? Once you’ve been suspended you aren’t allowed to open another shop ever. If you have a shop in good standing and opened a second shop there might just be some detail that needs to be fixed on the second shop. They are very finicky…Which is why I prefer Shopify! 🫠
@WendyJoDavis Now, I'm thinking the only way to do it is to add to my current shop. I only sell digital items but for different industries. Hopefully, I do not lose customers b/c I added other types of products. 😭😭
@@EmpowerHerDreams if you weren’t permanently suspended (which I was) then you should be able to open a second shop. It’s so hard to know what Etsy wants! If your first shop is well established, adding categories that are still part of the same general niche would be ok (Digital products for: realtors, salons, teachers…all ok!)
I think you’re right 🫤 Usually it has a crown by it if it’s a pro feature! Bummer! It is available for Canva for educators, teams and nonprofits. Here is a link to try pro for thirty days free if you want to try it! partner.canva.com/XxooVX
@@WendyJoDavis darn I was hoping I was wrong. People are also using the bulk create feature to make those inspirational quote short videos on YT and tiktok. Don't know how monetizable they are but you can end up with hundreds of shorts in a matter of minutes.
I have a stupid question. I am sure there is a logical answer, but would like to understand. Why do people create Only 30 Affirmations? Why wouldn't it be 365, so there would be a different one for each day of the year?
When you download more than one png it will always create a zip file. You’ll just need to unzip the file first before you’ll be able to upload them again. Most computers come with some sort of extractor or unzipping tool. If not just do a quick google search for a free one. The other work around is to download one at a time…but that’s kind of slow!
This video was posted 3wks ago and you’re talking about how it’s sweater weather for you, and it’s now mid-September and still 102 degrees where I’m at 😫🥵
And this is why I teach how to do the research so that you can create a product that will sell. There have to be people searching for the products, your designs have to be good, your listing photos have to be sharp and you need to know what keywords to use. 🤷🏻♀️
You cannot sell pdf s with pro elements account of Canva. So what you do is against the Canva license. This is confusing as what you show with this video is actually not allowed. How can we create in a legal way on Canva?
At about the 8:30 mark I actually talk about the fact that I only use free elements inside of anything that I sell. If you are selling a finished PDF for someone else to print then it can have free elements and Pro elements as long as it is not just the pro element, unchanged on a pdf that you are selling (it can not be intended to be edited though). You can not use Pro elements unless they are part of a larger creative work that is significantly different from the original. You can not use Pro elements if what you sell needs to be edited by your customer UNLESS it is a canva template link. So my suggestioin...as it always has been, is to use FREE elements or create your own elements. I did a full video here: th-cam.com/video/Xv4JBb9Y_Nk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1SouZMGQrfQbSOP1 on Canva's rules for using Free and Pro elements. What I show you in this video you can absolutely do on canva if you are using free elements...which again is what I said at the 8:30ish mark. This is a great source to read what you can and can't do with canva pro elements as well: www.canva.com/en_in/help/using-canva-to-create-products-for-sale/#:~:text=Canva's%20Content%20Licence%20Agreement%20does,stickers%2C%20and%20other%20printed%20products. Read through some of the examples they give to get a better understanding of the rules. It can be VERY confusing.
@@WendyJoDavis Dear Wendy, thank you for your extensive answer. To be fully clear, you say: "If you are selling a finished PDF for someone else to print then it can have free elements and Pro elements as long as it is not just the pro element, unchanged on a pdf that you are selling (it can not be intended to be edited though)." I thought I could only make a totally finished PDF on its own, if it only contains free Canva elements. You say the standalone can be a mixture of free and Pro stuff. Is that correct? I wonder, if we woul make standalone PDF's, why not use InDesign and never be bothered again with Canva's complex rules? And also, so many people do make the PDF's, are they ever getting caught? Because it seems like everybody is doing whatever? Thank you, Mary
Yes, you can create a new design using a mix of pro and free elements and sell it as a finished product or as a template link that brings the customer back to Canva to edit. I would say that the 2 reasons people choose Canva over Indesign are 1. Cost (it's twice as much for Indesign) 2. Ease of use and accessibility for customers. Canva is just so easy to learn and has so many capabilities. I see people breaking all kinds of rules and trademark infringement every day. I catch people reselling my templates as PLR without the proper licensing or outright stealing my designs. It is frustrating to watch, especially when I am always so careful to follow all the rules! Obviously, I confront and handle those that are stealing my designs, but the others...you could spend all day every day reporting people, and just as many will pop back up tomorrow. Unfortunately, many just don't have a conscience and don't care. I stay in my lane and figure the rest will eventually come out in the wash!
They actually are slightly different from each other in my finished product. Every saying is also different. If you want to create 50 unique designs you absolutely can do that and still use this same technique!
