I'm a little sad that you didn't go into one of my favorite parts, how Jobin's usage of the wax in his beetle is a perfect way to show his mindset when it comes to problems, being willing to throw lives away to achieve his goals, no matter how important those lives are. Since the beetle he uses is such an expensive rare beetle and is so casual about the fact that it will die after what he's done to it. It plays really well into the fact that in the current arc and such, he was also willing to kill his own father for his goals.

It technically isn't part of the arc, but the scene that comes right after, when Joubin offers Josuke a tissue, It was terrifying. Yeah, Josuke won, but we were reminded that it wasn't a serious encounter and had Joubin wanted to, he could have killed Gappy right there.

Jojolion spoilers I think maybe it's symbolic in the sense he's made enemy's with the rock humans after Damo's death after having a decent business relationship with them. It could say he's willing to cut down anything even the rock humans for the sake of his goals and his meddling in there affair's is what ultimately leads to his downfall.
Spoilers If u look rlly deep into it it could be foreshadowing the Poor Tom fight and Jobin’s death after it. Jobin coming out on top against the rock humans and the rest of his family at the beginning by winning the new rokakaka but that being the exact thing that leads to his death. (His beetle being the one to kill the wasp but the wasp’s venom is still the thing that lead to his beetles death)
