Yeah that caught me off guard to hear a VERY familiar voice
They say "WInning Time" isn;t very accurate to a number of the characters, but it was fun to watch regardless.
That's the point. It's entertaining TV first with some facts.

Amazing series. Wish they would have at least touched on the 87 Finals. But Chiklis is amazing in everything he does.

the only bad part about winning time is that the writers strike killed it, and made season 2 be rushed through so they could end the show more properly.
I know Auerbach was management not owner but he was the face of the Celtics the way an owner was - I lived Celtic basketball then I’m not sure who the Celtics was at that time. Auerbach was the Steinbrenner of the Celts in terms of being the face, the face and the target. (In terms of overall contribution the game as a coach, executive, he’s bigger than that though)
I don't watch a lot of TV. The last show I watched to conclusion was Vikings and before that it was Mad Men. I really dug Winning Time.
Season 2 and 1 are great
Of course Chiklis loves playing Red Auerbach. He's a Boston guy, he thinks he's playing to good guy!

I’m sorry but he looks nothing like him and none of those conversations ever happened. His personality is written completely wrong. As his closest relatives, we all are very opposed to the show and the way he is written.
