Damn man, saw this in my recommend and it brought all the memories back. This was a masterpiece of a game in its heyday, some of my best memories of gaming were on its servers and I was young enough not to have worries or stress just fully tuned in and just having fun. You realize how much you miss those times when you remember them.

My first time playing Unturned was very scary. I was walking on Taylor Beach when out of nowhere 4 little kids start screaming into their mics yelling "DIE." I think we know what happened...

Thank you for this! I started playing this game when it just came out in 2014 and donated because I loved it so much... then didn't play for a good 2 years and now just came back and have no idea what I am doing, lol. The game has changed a lot. Nothing on the PEI map looks familiar... and I distinctly remember 2 years ago I could just start out walking backwards while punching zombies one by one... when I try that now I pretty much die instantly. New strategy it is!
Thanks for this. I just started playing, and most of the guides out there are from when the game first came out. It's changed a lot since then. After 20 hours or so of flailing around I found this - it's very useful. -- It's great when folks realize that yes, even several years in there can be brand new players who aren't stupid, just new. ;)

How to win in singleplayer:
-Go to the military base on the map
-Grab all the loot you can from there
-Exit the game
-Enter it again
-Profit
Yeah lol, but do walk away from the base again in order for when you join again, no zombie would surprise you.

Mostly, they are hostile. If they have a gun, expect people to try and kill you. Some people are nice, and if you want to try and make peace feel free to, but don't be suprised if you turn your back and get shot in the head.

If you and your friend are struggling with multiplayer, make sure you focus first on food/water, then try to find guns. After you clothe yourselves, find as much weapons/tools as you can, and when your inventory is full, try to make base in a remote location away from hotspots(military bases, big cities, etc.)

Vanilla applies mainly to what I listed above, I don't know all the kinds of servers off the top of my head, but Vanilla would be your best bet. Some of the servers i've seen are RP servers, and servers where you are only supposed to PvP.

I'm not that great at PvP myself, i'd look it up on TH-cam or something. Best advice i've seen is to stay away from player hotspots, and to try to get a gun ASAP to defend yourself from other players.
I haven't started unturned yet but this guide will help me out so when I start playing
I’ve spent three hours getting guns and melee weapons before dying losing it all and looking around again and then dying again
the gas cans are kinda rare, if you need a gas can but u cant find one, get a saw, some wood and tape
make the wood into planks with the saw in the crafting,then craft the jerry can with the planks and tape.
also u need crafting 1 to do it (but that is easy to get)
your welcome in advance :D
or on russia map go to the srapyard. its really easy to get a can from there.
I found a gas tank but not a saw and I can't find one
@@toiatplay4528 i think you can craft a saw with 2 metal sheets and either wood or plank I can't remember. It's cheap tho

A good tip if you have the Gold upgrade is to pretend to be a zombie. Fools everyone, you just have to be careful of when to strike

When I first tried, mine biggest challenge/killers were wreshwater (rainbarrel and sanitation tablets) and infection (vaccine), while finding food and basic building and crafting were rather simple and self explanatory.

nice guide! although i always upgrade survival asap so I don't have to worry as much about food/drink at the beginning of a game, then one in crafting before i do the running ones.
I would NOT max out cardio or exercise first, before I spent anything for example on the Skill Survival, because they got more expensive the more you level them up. und first survival is only 10exp

i bargen that defense (the survival then vitality then imunity then stelth then all the usefull stuff there) should be first then overkill to punch and hit zombies harder then building from support (p.s. weapons should be used for hordes and for special zombies)

I started playing unturned with normal mode When i was low on food is told myself “hey lets find some food” i found a tomato with 29% When i ate it i Got food posioning then i was thinking about farming that helped me allot

actualy 1st thing i found (after food) was firetruck with 52% fuel + firefighter equipement like shirt ,hat fireaxe flashlight ,and i smashed every single zombie in town lol

Is there some way to "hide" your weapon from other players rather than having it holstered? Putting it in your inventory works, but then you have to open it back up and reequip the weapon, since the 3-9 hotkeys don't apply to weapons. Anti-noob-killer disguise would be so much fun.
The closest thing to that is having your weapon in your inventory and do Ctrl + Right click, it's an insta swap
