Sadly this song is based on 2 true story’s. He wrote it about a friend from high school. Her boyfriend proposed but ended up getting into a car accident later that night. But later found out a friend of his proposed to a girl named Amy and got hit by a train that night. The Bible he carried layed untouched
Folks wrote letters back in the day, she got them when they were growing up. She kept them, because she was in love. He is looking down from heaven, and he loves her so much he wants her to move on, thats what's in his heart love for someone else more than himself

It’s sad. It’s from his friends POV. His friend proposed to his girlfriend and on the way home he got in a bad accident. I can’t remember if it was just bad or a train was involved. But it broke his girlfriend and Brantley made the song. There’s definitely more to it like with meaning and why he wrote it but that’s the synopsis. It’s from his friends point of view.
