In this Podcast Episode I interviewed Markus, who is a Top-Seller on Displate, an underrated Print on Demand marketplace. Markus managed to sell over 10,000 Displates in his first year on the platform. He shares tips on getting approved to open a store, which designs sell best for him and how he creates them.

He is the one on displat that taps into a niche of Kintsugi Japanese art and it sells like crazy and many people copy it now. But the important is to be the first.

This is a great interview, so interesting I didn't know that much about Displate. But I understand what he's saying. You have to have a great design. Has to be special, which is true, really of anything that you would be emotionally drawn to purchase. I think T-shirts are different in that way. You could buy a T-shirt and wear it, not care if you wore it a couple of times and it costs less. But for something you're gonna put on your wall or shelf, It would matter more how it looked, How it made you feel when you looked at it.

Sir, can we post art works made using ideogam on displate? Will these art works be approved or not?

Some will, some won't. That's generally the case on displate

Most of the designs on Displate are AI created. So, why do they not accept it anymore?

What kind of portfolio would you even try if you’re not linking to a shop? Do you send them a link to google drive to look at or something? Also, you’re talking about dollars, but doesn’t Displate sit in Poland? Don’t they pay in Euros?

You could attach a Behance or dribbble portfolio. Looks a bit more professional than a Google drive link. Displate pays me in dollars
