Ty for another informative and realistic video that’s extremely inspiring for newbies especially for apparel (a few accessories phone cases/stickers) and appears to be more of a general type store/multiple niches. And Amazon/RB/Teepublic are more about royalties and not exactly a shop like Etsy (I think you would do great on there too) but full transparency with some valid reasons for sales alone or same with a new shop from someone who has done this for years and is very experienced in design!! It’s awesome to have so much transparency for a real seller on YY! Thanks for just being an awesome human 😊
Yes!! I did edit and added to my comment 😅 maybe one day you will also start an Etsy store, (general or niche) and customization!! I know it’s a lot more work in the beginning, but knowing all the design tools as you do and the Informative interview videos you’ve done with top 1% sellers and Hello Custom. I know you have A LOT on your plate, but knowing everything as you do and having access to those individuals could helpful and in your favor! I have no doubt you would be a top 1% seller on Etsy in a year! 🎉
thank you so much juna but we need from you some tips how you can increase or manage your energie to be constant like that and thank you again juna for sharing all this data and knowledge.
Thank you for sharing this info. I am going to experiment with this info to see if my sales go up on Amazon. So far I have one design that says monthly and the rest are random.
@@DetourShirts ok thanks for reply, i did not know that there was "design with detour" challenge. Happy that you have more time for content creation now. All the best!
Good points bro on adding other marketplaces aside from US market, but here's the thing, there are often times that when you upload on US, all will be ok as it passes on trademark but when it is uploaded along with other marketplaces like UK Or DE, when you hit a TM for those, automatically it will reject also those in the US. And in that case, it will be very crucial and you really need that guts and knowledge that in all marketplaces, you will not hit any trademark. Because when you hit a TM on any marketplaces, it will automatically rejected all and thats the worst scenario that could happen. I already tested that out, and it is true. A certain design is rejected and it was more than 50, i re upload that in US market only and all went live. So it means i hit a TM or cooyright on other marketplace, then my US uploads is being affected too. Thats why I myself will focus only on US market as I really dont know and master all TM or cooyright in different countries. Its better to be on the safest option rather than gettings tons of rejections.
@@DetourShirts in my case, it happens to me many times and im not liking it because that could make my account in a worst case scenario, thats why i just decide to upload only in US and let the MBA do the automatic upload on different marketplaces because they said that whateever is rejected due to auto upload, there will be no bearing on the account. It seems you are more knowledgeable on US and Europe marketplaces, thats why you rarely hit by that one hit, take all rejection haha which seems not right but thats how the mba works.
@@DetourShirts hmmm i tried and selected all markets did my main listing brand title descriptions but nothing carried over. I was able to translate using productor though
How long does it take you to get a single design on every product in every available country on Amazon. At Tier 10 as I am having just started, I worked it out and with the 2 products a day limit and each site counting towards that limit too it would take me 38 days just to get one design on all things everywhere which is crazy!
Do you think maybe you don't sell as much because your titles are just saying the funny phrase on the shirt. Rather than write "Sloths are Naturally Tantric" something like "funny sloth T-shirt" would be what people search. You are rocking the income train on Amazon Merch but i wonder what your titles were for these on all POD sites.
sorry dude, but dont u see that the dragon "im doing sidequests" design is totally off? look at the wing?!!! im mean common, using AI is great but a least but some effort in it
Okay, now you got me confused. I thought you are a tier 100.000 seller on Amazon? You must have more sales in 6 months on MBA than just 63? 🤔 Do I miss the point somewhere here? Also, you’re not doing this only this year, but for I don’t know how long? You said something like you just started with Designs with Detour? Or is this a 2nd account and you normally sell under the name of Detour Shirts and earn much more? I mean, you‘ve just left your nine-to-five to go all in, that’s certainly not possible with 63 sales in 6 months? 😮Can you please clarify this? I can’t get rid of the feeling that I‘m missing the point here.
Yes... I explain this at the beginning of the video....This video is just for the designs I made with Design with Detour. I've been creating a design a day with AI since January 2024. I'm showing how many sales to expect if you are just starting out and only have a like 200 designs. All my other designs and sales are not counted in this video. Don't worry I make way more sales with the designs I've uploaded outside of Design with Detour and since 2017. I sell almost 100 a day. I wanted to make a video to show the struggles of starting Print on Demand in 2024 your first year out. I hope that clears it up.
@@DetourShirtsaaah right, thought so, I knew I missed something there 😅I must have missed out on the explanation part. Now that makes sense. What I take from it is, that the struggle is real, so to say. I‘m concentrating on MBA (luckily I‘ve been accepted on first try here in Germany) and only have 6 sales, all friends and family, to get me out of tier 10. Might do a buy-out myself for the remaining 4, I want to get out there in time for Q4. I guess patience and persistence is required… thank you for clarifying, it helps a lot. 👍

I'm trying to learn to follow you. In order for me to have my first order, 3 months ago, no work has been sold yet. But I'll keep trying.😅😅😅
Congrats on surpassing the 150k Sales Bar on MBA! Keep up the good work Juna!
Thank you! Will do!
You are awesome! Wishing you all the success!!
Thank you!
I have applied twice for Merch on demand but they rejected it. Do they track of details if we apply from other email I’d but with same details
I'm pretty sure you can re-apply with a different email

Thank you for sharing this info. I am going to experiment with this info to see if my sales go up on Amazon. So far I have one design that says monthly and the rest are random.
You can do it!
Do you promote the listings through other sites to drive traffic or do you just rely on red bubbles traffic.
Not really... I have social media but I do it all free
Hello, question can I send customers to my teepublic store if my account says apprentice?
Yes...absolutely
Cobgrats 🎉
And thanks for the inspiration
You are so welcome!
Great info, Juna.
Glad it was helpful!
please...what platfor are you using to design?
I'm using ChatGPT for graphics and then Affinity Designer to put it together.... sometimes I use Kittl or Canva
so this is a different shop than your main one ?
Yes... this is not from detourshirts.com and I am only counting Design with Detour design sales

I've tried cotton bureau before (probably ~50 designs) and they've all been rejected. any advice?
Hmmm. Not sure why they would be rejected. I feel like they accept anything. I would email them.

Hi Juna do you allow Amazon to auto translate your design to other marketplaces or English is your primary language on all others marketplace s
Yes
Hello! Thanks for putting out such helpful contebt everytime! Can I ask what are the slowest months for POD, specifically Teepublic? Thabks!
I think it depends on the designs you are creating but more people buy less right after the new year.... January, February are pretty slow
Hi, please can you tell me how yo find our niches for stickers. Be kind like yours designs. Thanks bro
I like to do research on the POD site for ideas and what sells but then do something different
thank you for your kind information brother
You are very welcome

Yes I do

Can I use ai generated images for my designs?

What are base costs for Cotton Bureau - so if you sell t shirt for $21.95 what's your take as the designer? Thanks for another great video.
I usually get $5 a sale
you mentioned that you upload to all the markets, i normally do US and UK. Does Amazon auto translate now if you select all markets?
Yes...Amazon can do it for you

Hi Juna. My friend is on teepublic for 4 months and he has now 25 sales as an apprentice. Are 25 sales in 4 months good?
In the beginning it's really good..... learn from those and add more designs
@@DetourShirts thanks!
hi JUNA "Talk to me goose " is trademarked are you know that ?
Yikes
Sir, we design it as per our requirement. Now the company designs it exactly like this on the t shirt.
That's how it works
awesome ❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Is it really that we can make money from teesprings or red bubble by designing shirts online?
Yes... you can make money online... how much depends on what you have to offer
Please create a tutorial for Shopify.
Good idea... I'll work on it
Do you use ads?
No
Great...
Thank you
Do you work in Etsy?
Not currently
