Well, you guys are not gonna believe this.... The Mustang made some licks and got some new personal best numbers on drag radials. We built this car as a no prep car, but when we scaled it out with the big block in it.... I knew it would have potential to go pretty fast with a radial on it. I have not been on radials now for several years, but help Randy tune on his super fast radial hot rod so radials are not new to us. I made some bar changes to get it where I thought it would be close, and boy was the car happy.... This is our shakedown passes before the race. Check it out... Thanks ya'll!

Dude! Great job on the car setup! That thing is working beautifully! I really like the driver front tire hanging for 150ft or so! That little car has come a long way in a short time! You should be very happy! I can't wait to see how it reacts to the new converter. I feel like you're way ahead having that big block torque there to stage the car even with a tight converter. It's going to be fun!
Hanging the front tire(s) looks cool but you can’t steer the car if it isn’t going perfectly straight. May need to extend the rear a little harder to push the front down.
The car's looking like it's coming around pretty good. Can't ever remember you having a car that goes as straight as this one!

Sadly we didn't get see what Billy nova run on a radial tho😢 had a oil leak on one the turbo got that fixed n found something else. Hope it not bad n a quick fix

You may need to double check the adjustment on your upper door latches. I noticed on one of your runs that the passenger door flared out at the top at the end of your run. Y'all don't need to have any issues in that area now that you have such a beautiful ride.
Pro bracket is a far better tire more consistent
Make that parachute handle work the opposite direction for easier operation.
A wing would definitely benefit the car.
Leave that thing on radials! It looks so much happier. It may not be the setup for no prep, but I feel like you're getting better data and going in the right direction. Forget all the traditions and beliefs and keep doing what works.

Well Well Well old man did know what he was doing didn't he!!!!I Ive been following U2 (John/Randy) for a min now and I'm telling all U haters and US NON-HATERS THAT THIS IS THE CAR RIGHT NOW TO BEAT AT ANY TRACK AGAINST ANY ONE U CAN NAME!!! POUND FOR POUND BRING IT!! And John nor any of the guys that help has said this, I live near hickory and about 2 hrs from John!! THIS IS A REAL RACER NOT A POSSER AND HE HAS HAD MORE INFO TO HELP ALOT OF RACERS, WHY AREN'T U SUBSCRIBED TO HIS CHANNEL?? I wonder if adding a second set of coils would allow the car to run richer? Nothing fancy, just an extra set of truck coils spliced into the current plug wires.
Based on your best 60ft and 330ft it'll run 4.50's in the 1/8th mile at like 160 and then 1000ft at 5.88 at like 185 and then 6.90's at like 205

When you had the lean pop, because you maybe got off it a little any chance that's related to the reason for the new fuel pump? Is that only running at the end of the run? I don't remember what strategy you chose. If it's not on During the run, maybe you let off, the fuel sloshed, and you went lean? I guess you would see a change in fuel pressure. Yeah, you say the field pressure looked good. Sorry, we are on the same page at least.
