You are at a very good position just continue practising it try to make the outlines shorter and read out what ever you have written instantly as and when you finish your dictation and follow it which typing the complete transcription

It's too late to even start preparing for skill test. However, in case you are a serious aspirant thinking of attending more CBTs in future, do attend the skill test. It will add to your experience if nothing else
