- In this video, you will see wiring and testing a ATO single-phase 220V, 50Hz, 6W, 1250rpm torque motor with gearbox.
Firstly, we use a 250V 15A switch to transfer the direction of rotation of the motor.
Secondly, apply a 0.8μF capacitor to both ends of the blue and white wires of the motor and connect it to the transfer switch. The intermediate terminal of the transfer switch is connected to the power supply. Finally, turn on the power and test.

I need help i hope you can reply fast, can i only use the forward line and disregard the reverse line? im not sure if i can only connect the capacitor to the forward line because we only need the forward motion
You can just use the forward rotation, but you need to keep the capacitance.

I want to use a Low rpm/ DC motor like this one (if that’s what it is) and build myself a turning platform specifically to make a record cleaning table, using the same switch, the only thing I am stuck on is converting the AC power, is the white box a transformer? If so is there a smaller transformer that I could use, so I can run it by plug in and not battery? Thank you :)
