@@kathybinthe6037 yep, that’s what we love too….. it’s a toss-up between the nice kitchen with island in the moonstone or the rear lanai in the Garnet. Other than that, they are very similar
We really liked the Garnet, but we have a car and a truck. We don't think we could get the car out of the garage with the truck behind it in the Garnet.
@@GetOutHaveFunKeepSmiling Nope, definitely not….. Patio Villa’s don’t work well with having two vehicles. My wife and I will only have 1 vehicle and 1 golf cart and for us, a Patio Villa would work just fine. In our situation, with everything within The Villages being accessible by golf cart, we don’t see a big need for a second vehicle
We chose a Jade because it had everything we wanted. Good size kitchen, front lanai, nice size living and dining rooms, and inside laundry. We are South of the Florida turnpike because of the proximity to Sawgrass Grove, Eastport, Brownwood, golf, and recreation.
Have a few questions what’s the price? How much is the insurance cost and property taxes I lived in South Florida 33 years left in 2019. Thank God insurance now is triple taxes going up and prices of homes is double or triple. So can you answer these questions?
We can give a little info. Houses have prices from around $200,000 to millions. It just depends on what you want. Insurance is high and I’m not sure how much yet, since we haven’t moved there yet. Also, it depends on the house. The larger the house the more the taxes, and it also depends on what county/city your house is in. I think there are 6 different tax rates. Also, most homes have a bond, so that is something to keep in mind. Sorry that I can’t be more specific. Thanks for watching.
New subscriber here ..... Enjoyed your videos of the Villages ..... I have a question for you.... I'm curious of the price range of the models that they are offering in this development ....
Thanks for subscribing! If you go to The Villages Florida online, you can see the models and prices. Homes start around $225,000 to multi millions. You can even get some homes in the historic area for less than that.
I’m surprised that TV’s are using that style home for the lifestyle visits. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice home. And would be perfect for some retirees needs. I just would think TV’s would want put folks up in a larger, nicer model home to encourage potential buyers. Just my 2 cents. Hope you two enjoyed your visit.

We will still be working, so we will be keeping both vehicles for a while. Of course, we want to get a golf cart, too.
So what model did you choose and why and what area did you pick and why?

Is the garnet a new model they will be building in the Eastport area?
Yes. I think they have been building it for a little while, but they don’t make many of them.

What Village/Area is this Villa in?
This is in Harper villas in Newell. At the moment, they are using all of these villas for lifestyle visits.
Oh boy, so exciting. You actually have a garage and even a kitchen! How can you stand it?
I know! Isn’t it great! 😅
I hear that the Villages homes do not allow any type of outdoor decorations, i.e. bird baths, garden stakes, small garden flags etc. Is this accurate?
I’m not an expert, but I believe it can be different in different districts. I do know that they are trying to keep The Villages beautiful.
Is this a manufactured home?

Rules like a condo where you basically have no rights.
I own a condo and regret it, I feel like a tenant not a homeowner!
There is no HOA but they do have rules in order to keep TV from looking 'tacky.' The rules are spelled out before you sign on the dotted line.
