9:40 PSA for everyone, instead of manually moving food from the pal food box to a storage, fill up the pal food box with 1 slot for berries on the leftmost side (they eat from left to right) and fill up the rest of the slots with separate stacks of 1 honey each (which don't expire). This will cause pals to transport food that is not honey or berries to the cooler/refrigerator so that you can min-max the cake-making process and prevent spoilage. Note that pals will not put anything into a cooler or refrigerator unless you fill up the pal food box first.
great shoutout on the incubators indoors Drybear. You are the first video I've seen that mentions it. There are a couple really Turnkey pals in the game that have a really low breeding power relative to their level. The three big callouts are Relaxsaurus, Mossanda and Anubis. Also the fixed crosses (Grizzbolt, Orserk, Faleris, Lyleen, etc) will give disproportionately low BP pals for the inputs, so they are a great way to breed into lategame pals early on. (Edit: however the best passives are reserved for the boss version, so breeding them early focuses only on their work suitability bonuses) Here are a handful of low level progressions: Relaxaurus + Celaray = *Anubis* + Vanwyrm = Faleris Chillet + Tombat = Petallia + Mossanda = Lyleen With Faleris, Anubis, and Lyleen all you need is a waterer and your bases are completely covered. Penking works, but depending on how much milling you need done it might be worth just keeping something with 3 watering. Azurobe has pretty high Breeding power so its pretty easy to make early as well; the easiest is probably Penking + Cinnamoth as you will probably have a penking already. with the above you should be able to push through to late-game without fussing with the base at all. If you want a Shadowbeak early and most of the low BP pals in the process: Direhowl + Nightwing = Rayhound + Mossanda = Grizzbolt + Relaxaurus = *Oserk* + Grizzbolt = Astegon + Kitsun = Shadowbeak Edit: Kitsun is the target for breeding on your passive skills onto shadowbeak as astegon takes forever to hatch and is a pretty clunky process. If you worked at making a good Direhowl early on you can move the passives over via Direhowl + Incineram. Otherwise just use the calculator and you may have to do a couple steps to get a well-rolled kitsun, or just farm them in the ice biome to the north, then start doubling up with dual shadowbeak breeding.
Great comment. What traits are you trying to breed down for these pals? Mainly Swift for the flying mounts (Faleris and Shadowbeak) and artisan for the workers?
@@dap8362 pretty much. from a raw stats perspective you cant beat the legendary pals; their base stats are like 2x anything else. The only way to make up the difference is to breed their "Legend" back down to whatever you are working on along with whatever 20% element bonus you are looking for (at least for combat pals). after that its just utility skills. As drybear showcased in the video you can look for "Ferocious" and "Musclehead" for attack power boosting, "Swift" and "Artisan" are both good utility based on what you are doing, and once you run out of 3 point passive (30% boost) you can stack on a second 2 point passive (20% boost) and they do stack. Sometimes you need to do some shenanigans to get stuff over. Like for instance my top pal atm is shadowbeak as his unique dark type move is nuts. in order to max him out you need to strip the "Legend" and "Lord of the Underworld" from a Necromus and use an Astegon as your interim pal (Necromus + Beacon = Astegon) to carry both traits to Shadowbeak. Once you have your transitory Astegon you can breed it back with a Kitsun with your movement skills and just keep spawning eggs till you get all 4 you want. At the end of the day you will need 116 to fully condense your pal so odds are you will pick up one combo with the passives you want and decent IVs. There are only 2 exceptions to this: first is Jor Ignis as it only comes from a match with itself (which is probably a design oversight) and the legendary pals as again they can only come from a match with itself; so until you catch one with the passives you want you are stuck waiting on the respawn timer. To that end Fost Noct is probably the easiest Legend to max out as you cross a Frostalion with a Helzepher so you can load up the Helzepher with all the passives you want.
@bobnewkirk7003 you can pretty easily breed legendary pals, get mutations and then breed those. I made a jetragon with swift/ runner/ legend/ ferocious after only making 30 jetragons. Seeing how you need 116 for 4 star 30 isn't bad at all.
Tips: Use the Pal essence condenser on your farming pals (Cows,Chicken,Bee) it will increase their passive skill therefore increasing the production speed 😉

I'm not sure if it was mentioned. I recommend placing a feed box inside the breeding pen. I had some issues where my Pals would stop breeding if they got hungry and used a feedbox outside of the breeding pen, and this solved that issue.
I almost never drop a comment on any videos, but this is by far the best breeding guide I've watched. Most of them don't even explain how the breeding values work.
The best way to get them to stick into the breeding farm is to go inside the farm all the way to the back to where your back is to the wall, and throw them at the middle post. So when your looking straight at it your back will be at the furthest wall and your throwing at the post in the front. Works almost every time even with big pals that have the most issues.
Why aren't you putting your food in the fridge? Also you can stop Pals from putting food in the feed bag by separating stacks of berries etc in there. They will then put all the food in the fridge.
I tested this for hours last night. I could never get a pal to transport anything into a fridge or cooler no matter if I filled all the food with cotton candy to force them to path somewhere else. They would just bug out and spam pick up and drop the same item over and over.
Transporting is really buggy they will get to it and fix it eventually. Just have to deal with it for now. That’s the conclusion I came to after fail after fail
@@jb2760 That's actually just a big with transporting in general, it's caused by your transporters suddenly trying to transport multiple different resource drops at the same time, making them pick up and drop all the items they're trying to transport in an infinite loop. For the moment, only way to fix it is to pick up everything they're dropping and likely everything on the ground yourself. It seems to fix itself after there's nothing left to pick up or at least when there's fewer resources to pick up than you have transporters.
Fridge is a godsend, milk stacks spoil every few minutes when not in a cooler, but if you keep it cold, it has effectively infinite life. You can vastly reduce the number of ranch pals with this “trick”
9:36 I've found you can alternatively fill the last four slots with one non-decaying food each (like cotton candy), and leave the first one open with berry farms for pals to fill them up on their own. Tips about rolling was nice to know and agreed with you on the keeping flour in the mills since I don't use cooling yet.
@@legray1327 For me, if I have 3 of the traits, I just breed it with the last one with a single trait that I need. Everything else is just rng so hope and pray luck helps u. On the bright side at least u have copies to condense it with
I have not played since new patch, so I am not sure if this still works. But when you said to leave the wheat in the mill, so it doesn't start expiring, I just to wanted to say that I found that just clicking 'sort' in the inventory or chest, while having anything perishable in it will result in the timer for it reseting. So if you have wheat that is about to expire in your inventory, you click 'sort' to reset the timer.
Another good tip for when your breeding pairs get wonky - add both to your personal party, walk out of the bounds of your base, then walk back in, reassign them to the pal box, and from there to the breeding farm
I clicked on this video because it was in my recommended and I've been starting to breed in Palworld. Then DryBear shows up. Holy Shit, blast from the past! I used to follow you all the time in the Smite days
I've had that issue where they bug out and just refuse to stay in the breeding farm. It was annoying until I found out I had to throw them inside where the hay part is, worked like a charm.
You can stack the feedbox with cotton candy and put a cooler near the ranch with a ice type pal in the base. Only pals wifh freezing is preferred so they don't get distracted.
The one thing i'd suggest doing in order to keep relative order in any base is ot have pals eating (at least) cooked berries. (It gives them +1 sanity per munch) which is not much, but still goes a LONG way. The very best (that is manageable relatively easily) is the salad (Costs 2 tomato and 2 lettuce) which you can grow soon enough! Keep in mind that the pals eat from left to right in the food box. (So If you have wheat on the leftmost slot, they will eat that first [which can be very annoying] )
I fill the feed box with nonperishable food like 4 boxes of cotton candy, and then put the cake ingredients in a cooler next to it. Your pals will sort it accordingly. If you want to actually use the cooler, not that you need to turn it on, jolthog cryst can be bred as soon as you find jolthog, and it hardly eats anything, and will ONLY work at your cooler
I’ve found that putting the breeding pen too close to the edge of the base ring will make the pals stops breeding, need to come in if you are having issues
tip for milk/honey and grain collection. spread your berries out so that they take up all the slots in the feed bag, and the pals will take the grain/eggs/honey to your storage
Tip in how to fix the feed box issue: Break the stack of food you do want in the box in half again and again and fill every space in the feed box. The carriers will only put that food in the feed box and anything else in another box, usually one that already has stuff in it but some times what ever box is closest. Atleast that's what worked for me
Top tip, place a cooler near your ranch and fill the food box with berries in slot 1 and cotton candy in the rest of the slots. This will force gathers to place the perishable food in the coolers :)
9:37 You don't need to manually move the eggs and milk. Just fill all the remaining slots in the feed box with 1 cotton candy each. Then pals will transport directly to the nearest cooling unit as long as there are no other open slots in feed boxes.
More info . . If you put the feed basket just at the breed entrance they won't stop breeding to eat If you make foods that fill them up or decrease hunger is another good way to keep them in the breed farm longer.
You can also put it in a cooler and take it out to reset the timer. Or an unintended one is clicking sort inventory will reset timers as well. A third probably unintended one is if you turn on dropping stuff on death, hit respawn and don't take everything out of your death bag you can use that as a storage and timers are frozen in it iirc. Don't know if that last one has been fixed yet.
You can fill the feed box with just regular berries cuz the Pals priorities the first slot and have a Icebox/fridge next to the feed box and the Transport pals will drop them into the icebox/fridge
I have success with putting pals in the breeding farm by going inside of it and throwing the pals at the cake box. It will light up blue saying “assign to breeding farm”. I know this video was made before the update but it has worked for me so I thought I would share
So when I try to breed my pals they always leave the breeding station to go eat or something and then the egg goes back to 0 and they have to basically restart the whole process again. How do I stop that so they can breed without interruption?
12:31 I had this bug yesterday and a 100% fix I found for it is a couple steps where you don't have to leave game. Go to Palbox. Put the culprit in your active party. Drop him on the ground via party menu (R on PC). Wait a couple of seconds. Pick them back up and put them in the base and put them in the breeding pen. This also works for the Perma "Sleeping" Pal's that you cant interact with
for those of you who want to get necromus and paladius bosses. easiest way to defeat them is by hugging the woods and constantly moving around while having your best pals fight them untill they are almost dead and are ready for capture. the reason the woods are so great is because of their almost 1 shot movement abilities and the trees/rocks block alot except for the beams and rock/ice lances.
If you have the tower that allows you to select how hard the pal's work you can actually use it to assign them without having to pick them up or run around or drop them
Lol omg drybear you make videos bro? I had no idea. Massive Paladins fan tho. Most my favourite characters came out when you were part of that game like Fernando and Evie and Pip.
You can capture a wondering trader that sells wheat, milk, and eggs. So you can spam buy them before making your cake and save more slots for breeding pals
around 8:27 you said Penking doesnt get stuck on trees. My Penking chose violence and got stuck there for like 20 minutes while i was trying to find him. lmao
Also cool to know and I haven’t seen anyone mention it but, sibelyx generates high quality silk at your ranch and puts it away for you. I only have one and she got me 300+ in one day. She’s also decent at medicine crafting but only 2 so not the greatest. Also sometimes they are stuck in whatever path they were already on, and it kinda needs to be interrupted before they will be assigned to breed. If they are hungry or sanity dropping that can cause them to not stay in too. So it’s actually worthwhile to make some of the slightly better food. I just do jam filled buns since it’s the cheapest thing that and baked berries. Sometimes if you walk up to them and hand feed them then pet them you will be able to assign them to breed. It’s weird tho def very glitchy and annoying when you’re mass breeding lol. I have my settings like yours so I’m hatching like 100 eggs a day
Use honey in the feed box to fill the slots after the first feeder food (berries) and have a fridge near it. That way the pals will put the milk, eggs and wheat in the fridge. Also bake the berries and place it in the feeder. That will help with sanity as uncooked berries do not provide sanity boost.
If you go to the Sanctuary on a flying mount and stay on it, you'll never be trespassing. Just make sure your character never touches the ground, stay on your flyer and you can catch as many sanctuary pals as you want.
Just a tip: Fill the feed with some food that dont expire like cotton candy. So you have 1 slot with their food like berries and all the others with cotton candy. That will make your pals put the egg, milk and honey into the next avaliable place, if all feeds are filled like that it will go into the refrigerator.
You can level up the partner skills in the tube so you only need one of each ranch animal. Also exclusive skills are easier to get through crossbreeding parents that are able to get those skills…you pass this along different parents until you get it on the pal you want.
protip fill your feeding stations with honey or cotton candy as they dont deteriorate - with 1 long food source in the far left and everything is put 1 honey or 1 cotton candy - this will force pals to ferry the items to non-food boxes and if a fridge is close they should use it :)
Tip for the feebox: put multiple stacks of 1 Honey to fill all the spots so the transporters will move them to a more proper coolbox or something since Honey never expires.
Made a felbat from an arsox and daedream. The male arsox has strong hold strategist, the female daedream has nothing, but all the felbats got stronghold, along with other attributes. I was really just experimenting.
I hadn't looked much into the breeding of Pals. I had hoped I could turn the element of the Pal, like make a Fire Pal that could shoot water. I made a sulfur mining base at the edge of one of the volcanos and it would be nice to have a Pal that can water the plants and not get burnt :( But I guess that was too much to ask.
The whole "look level and stand at the front" and walking in and throwing it down is different because your courser needs to be on the item you're throwing it at. as you see when you're facing it, FOV head height, you're getting the icon popping up, that's what you need, the icon enlarged and visible showing that you're indeed about to throw the pal at the thing you're looking at. if you step in and look down your courser is pointed at the foundation, not the breeding ranch. You can tell you're about to assign them correctly is you'll see that box for the breeding ranch pop up.
I hope future updates release a way to manage pal activities remotely. I'm thinking you'd place a communication tower in your base and craft a small handheld computer.
Great in depth vid! I think your mix sensitivity settings needs adjusting, it's missing when your voice volume drops. I had these issues in the day and I think it was just ny gate sensitivity... maybe
I realize that you have a bunch of eggs waiting to be picked up, do you in options to fastfoward day and night so the process is faster? been trying to get one with 4 passives but only getting luck with 3, not even sure if its possible at this point.
could you explain the route you use to get all those 4 passives on that Aqua Suzaku because i can't seem to get my breeding pals to pass the good stats
Is there any way to accurately put legend on any pal? I haven’t watched the full video but it’s all I’m really interested in and I don’t know if he’ll go over it.
Breeding Assignment Fix: When they get bugged and won't assign to the breeding pin you can try putting them in your party and feeding them all the way up and then try to assign. It worked for me.
Does a decrease in workspeed affect the creature’s movement speed? I’m reluctant to get Musclehead in breeding because i’m afraid it’s going to decrease the pals’ movements speed
Hey that combat blazamut is the exact pal I want. What order did you use to get those exact skills on him? And how long did it take to get all the right skills on him?
I have a breeding pen. I've tried placing multiple, but it wont let me place the cake in the box. I have cakes in my inventory, i've tried in my feed bag too. Male and female in the pen. I've closed game, restarted game, logged out, tried building pens in different areas, but it still wont place the cake. When i drag it over or right click it just shakes like incorrect item.

Non alpha azurobes are also really good for watering only cuz theyre smaller than the broncherry aqua! That's what I use for mine :D
tip for milk/honey and grain collection. spread your berries out so that they take up all the slots in the feed bag, and the pals will take the grain/eggs/honey to your storage
Tip in how to fix the feed box issue:
Break the stack of food you do want in the box in half again and again and fill every space in the feed box.
Then pals will transport directly to the nearest cooling unit as long as there are no other open slots in feed boxes.
lol “I love the way he giggles”
More info . . If you put the feed basket just at the breed entrance they won't stop breeding to eat
If you make foods that fill them up or decrease hunger is another good way to keep them in the breed farm longer.
you cracking up at "keep inbreeding them" made me laugh even harder xD
sup Drybear, happy to see you enjoying Palworld as well!! I am addicted to it lol.
I like how these games kinda teach you how to be self sufficient
You can drop food with spoil timers and pick them back up to reset the spoil timer.
This also works for the Perma "Sleeping" Pal's that you cant interact with
What are the coordinates for your breeding farm i like the open space
Awesome guide, thankfully one of the major updates recently was the pickup and drop off UI in the game, it's very much improved now.
for those of you who want to get necromus and paladius bosses. easiest way to defeat them is by hugging the woods and constantly moving around while having your best pals fight them untill they are almost dead and are ready for capture. the reason the woods are so great is because of their almost 1 shot movement abilities and the trees/rocks block alot except for the beams and rock/ice lances.
Very helpful, great job! Thanks.
In the feed basket, leave one honey in the 3-4 extra slots after berries and they'll bring your milk and eggs to the closest container.
Aw man I didn't expect to see your video on Palworld, I use to watch your Smite vids way back in 2013.
So you can spam buy them before making your cake and save more slots for breeding pals
putting them in your party then walking out of your base area works for the breeding bug everytime
around 8:27 you said Penking doesnt get stuck on trees.
You can place a woodengate at the entrance of the breeding farm, help make sure they stay in even during night.
what are the cords that your base is located in the veideo?
11:59
where the yellow player not the second base
You need cake to make the Pals give birth because cake is what you eat on your BIRTHday.
If you go to the Sanctuary on a flying mount and stay on it, you'll never be trespassing. Just make sure your character never touches the ground, stay on your flyer and you can catch as many sanctuary pals as you want.
You need 117 duplicates. You didn't count the one you're growing.
TIP: Add a feed box and x2 sleeping Pal bed. to make them happy
I had no clue you could do this I'm learning more and more
How did you put the breeding farm on top of foundation
whats the coords for that breeding farm was yours?
protip fill your feeding stations with honey or cotton candy as they dont deteriorate - with 1 long food source in the far left and everything is put 1 honey or 1 cotton candy - this will force pals to ferry the items to non-food boxes and if a fridge is close they should use it :)
How do you make sure that, when you combine the pals, the last one that is the result of the combinations, has all the four traits you want?
3:15 when it said not enough cake I only had a male in and my first thought was was a different kinda cake XD hadn’t looked in the cooking pot yet
how to get legend?
Tip for the feebox: put multiple stacks of 1 Honey to fill all the spots so the transporters will move them to a more proper coolbox or something since Honey never expires.
What always worked for me is putting the bugged breeding pal into my party and then put him back to the workers and assign it again to the farm.
Made a felbat from an arsox and daedream. The male arsox has strong hold strategist, the female daedream has nothing, but all the felbats got stronghold, along with other attributes. I was really just experimenting.
did you stop twitch streaming ? I dont see you streaming for along time
I hadn't looked much into the breeding of Pals. I had hoped I could turn the element of the Pal, like make a Fire Pal that could shoot water. I made a sulfur mining base at the edge of one of the volcanos and it would be nice to have a Pal that can water the plants and not get burnt :( But I guess that was too much to ask.
my question is for example I mix two pals with couple of passives, can those eggs inherit other passives than the ones that parents have ?
Hello, I was wondering where this base is set up. I’m trying to find such a widespread base for my breeding farm too
The whole "look level and stand at the front" and walking in and throwing it down is different because your courser needs to be on the item you're throwing it at. as you see when you're facing it, FOV head height, you're getting the icon popping up, that's what you need, the icon enlarged and visible showing that you're indeed about to throw the pal at the thing you're looking at. if you step in and look down your courser is pointed at the foundation, not the breeding ranch.
I had these issues in the day and I think it was just ny gate sensitivity... maybe
I realize that you have a bunch of eggs waiting to be picked up, do you in options to fastfoward day and night so the process is faster? been trying to get one with 4 passives but only getting luck with 3, not even sure if its possible at this point.
could you explain the route you use to get all those 4 passives on that Aqua Suzaku because i can't seem to get my breeding pals to pass the good stats
heard his intro paused, wrote this comment, leaving wtf was that LMAO
Oh my goodness, we bringing back science into game
Is there any way to accurately put legend on any pal? I haven’t watched the full video but it’s all I’m really interested in and I don’t know if he’ll go over it.
Breeding Assignment Fix: When they get bugged and won't assign to the breeding pin you can try putting them in your party and feeding them all the way up and then try to assign. It worked for me.
This helped so much thank you man!
Is it worth it to breed necromus and paladius for stats?
You don't need to remove the eggs/wheat/milk/honey from the food bins. As long as you have food in the first slot, they won't eat the other stuff.
Is there no boss for the lightning attack percentage?
Dont know if this is a glitch or not, but i never get charged as trespassing on the wildlife sanctuarys if im riding a pal
Does a decrease in workspeed affect the creature’s movement speed?
I’m reluctant to get Musclehead in breeding because i’m afraid it’s going to decrease the pals’ movements speed
Can the lucky passive be passed on through breeding? Basically the passive the shiny ✨ have
Hey that combat blazamut is the exact pal I want.
