When I see and listen to a cover that Dan also has done, most of the time those “other” covers don’t come close to Dan’s cover. I then post Dan’s link to his cover and tell people this, “ this is nice, now go list to Dan Vasc sing it” 😝 yep, I do that.

This song has been an inspiration for me to fight. Having been diagnosed with cancer an going thru chemo, i wanna give up sometimes. But this song keeps me fighting. I can just see Dan on dragonback going thru everything he's singing It gives me hope, on those dark days. Thank you so much for being there for me. Whether you realize it or not.. This is absolutely my favorite cover. Some observations that I hope are well received. As I’ve gone through your list of videos (I’m not finished) I see a serious transition at 3.5 to 4 years ago. Turning 30 was magical for you. You went from a very good vocalist to a master of performance. More gravity, more resonance, more presence are all in evidence. You’ve had quite a journey and your 1 M goal is in sight.
I think, along with all of his hard work paying off, that is when he started to be himself more. It feels like a massive weight being lifted when you stop caring what other people think.
He's become, one of, if not the best, male vocalist I've ever heard. It's the way he actually performs with his entire being along with his beautiful vocals makes him a phenomenal performer. As another posted, he had his own distinctive style, but the last couple of years, he's hit his stride and his style has been honed to where he stands far out from the rest!
I agree with all that is being said. Dan Vasc has hit his stride and become unstoppable.
@@mrjoey94 I basically agreed, though I would say that Dan still cares about what others think (more like caring for the people themselves). However, he also has gained confidence in what he, himself, knows and thinks, and that he is free to do what he knows he has to do. That's really when the weight lifts.

I agree. I once watch Richard Burton on a talk show take a telephone book and go through reading names off. All his inflection, diction, and tones made It sound like he was really telling some detailed story. I too believe Dan could do this with his incredible voice!

I've been fighting cancer for going on 5 years.
I ran across "heavy metal sings Amazing Grace" passed by so many times. I decided to watch one night it's not that I haven't song and listened to the song before, but all I could say was WOW!! I haven't cried that hard and have goosebumps all at the same time. You are now my go-to place for hymns.

Never heard the song before (I sincerely tried back in the day to get into DragonForce but it quite simply never happened) but I'll be damned if that wasn't one of your strongest vocal performances to date Dan. It is clear as well how hard you have worked in upgrading the quality and production of both your sound, videos, and uploads over the last year or so. If I remember correctly he had a video in the past where he explained that he didn't particularly want to become a signed artist, I'd imagine he's gotten offers or would have people accept if he wished. This being said he does technically have his own band called Fearless, though I haven't really seen them do much of late.
