super interesting thing is, I already naturally do a more V shaped line when driving (ACC) because its just what the car seems to want to do. now I know the theory behind it too
This is great! The best explanations of this I’ve ever seen! I just wish we could see his inputs like on a histogram. Or just the wheel not being locked.
The difference is also the difference in spring rate. The high aero car needs much higher spring rate due to the aero. So it will have a LOT less mechanical grip when the aero is not there. Hence they HATE any trail braking.
Eight hundred hours into ACC and I've been driving GT3 cars as if you're driving Formula cars. No wonder I am five seconds slower than LFM players each lap. I feel like a fool 800 hours wasted on doing it wrong! 🙈🤦♂ I wish a video like this was made back when ACC was brand new and bluntly and explicitly say "STOP driving GT3's like Formula One's!!! It doesn't work!" In Simon Cowell's voice or Gordan Ramsay's or Alan Sugar's voice. Or anybody's voice from Dragon's Den. Thank you David. I can stop binge watching Aris Drive's and Sim Racing Arnout's, etc videos.
I have to say this video would greatly benefit from having the brake / throttle/ steering inputs displayed.
I agree
Will sort that out for the next one 👍 ~ Dave
I just had the same thought. Did not make to much sense without seeing the inputs
Without graphics inputs the video loses its purpose with beginners.

You're welcome, glad the video helped!
An hour with the master is more productive than a month training alone. Thanks for the insights!
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it 🙏 ~ Dave
Great explanation, thanks.
Awesome explanation. Thank you Dave 😊
Pleasure! ~ Dave
Great video! In my case I am immediately on pace from formula to GT, but it takes several laps from GT to formula
Glad you found it useful Nic. Thanks for watching 🙏 ~ Dave

Will make sure we have overlays for the next video :) ~ Dave
I’m more of an open wheeler, whenever I change to gt3 or something like that I definitely struggle for a good half hour before reprogramming my brain.
Slapped again! Thank you!
Thanks Jeff!

100%
Similar to what Prototypes experience as well.~ Dave
Is a prototype driven in an in between style or is it closer to the open wheel approach?
More like a single seater as it’s lighter and has more downforce ~ Dave
my question is what about prototype cars like lmp2 and gtp cars? Should they be driven more like formula cars or gt cars?
Prototypes are similar to Formula. Stiff, high downforce. Straight line braking, carry speed through the corner and reduce steering inputs. ~ Dave
