    Have a look in B&Q for any 3m long kitchen worktop to sit on top of your drawers to give a great stable work area. You can get the thinner top and sometimes they sell slightly damaged ones cheap.

How do you transfer money to this value and what protection do you have if this was actually a scam or undervalued purchase? Hello Boro Boy how you doing, listen mate you are no spring chicken take it easy one piece at a time , fantastic haul by the way i think you wont be sourcing any time soon . them draws look really good the small ones are really smart shame they we not a bit longer , right the bulk lego it looks like it is going to stuck in the container for a long time have you considered selling it off on ebay at a kilo a time some sellers are getting upto £20 a shot ,i know you can make a lot more money parting it out but we all have a life span and i would have thought recouping some of what you have spent may be better than having it stuck in the container, i bet you have not been sleeping well over the last few weeks ,your mind on the lego where, when and how i know i have been there thats why i said take it easy also selling the used lego off in bulk will take next to no time to sort and give you a regular income

    • @BrickArena
      @BrickArena  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andrew, What do you mean I'm no spring chicken :) - I'm sure I have many years ahead of me. Yeah selling the bulk is a consideration and something I've thought about for a quick return, but I'm going to see where I am when I have merged all the catalogued stuff first. I'll need something to do after that :) Sleep was certainly in short supply for a week or so when both deliberating whether to spend my savings and after making the purchase and planning everything.

  • @brickflair2731
    @brickflair2731 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The used bulk can drive casual browsing while-i'm-there sales, particularly if your buyer is looking for a certain older individual piece. If you're in no rush, then I'd hang on to the potential of it rather than kilo it out on eBay. Depends how much the shipping container owes you I suppose. Great job on the acquisition - the sky is the limit now.

    • @BrickArena
      @BrickArena  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The container is an overhead that I’ve accounted for but I need it irrespective of the bulk. Once the cataloged parts are merged I’ll be in a better position to make a decision on the bulk.

Right now I’m only on BL as I can’t justify paying for the software to sync and am unsure I can be fast enough to update inventory if I had listed on both given my day job.

      Not at all, when you buy a store you need a brick store file in advance showing all the inventory, plus a lot of pictures. Then there's lots of analysis to be done before buying. It really helped that this was someone I knew very well and trusted. The £40K I mention was avg of the catalogued stock. It's probably worth twice that as there was so much more, new and used stuff that wasn't catalogued PLUS all that bulk, the equipment, drawers etc.

All I can say is that I drove very carefully and even had articulated trucks overtaking me :) - Regarding recouping the money it's not all about speed. Isn't there a way to mass-upload using BrickPickers store inventory?
    And then afterwards, slowly start changing the comments as to not disturb the picking cycle.

      Yes and no - BUT - do you trust the quantities provided? what about merging lots that your store and Brick pickers have?

      @@BrickArena Well, BrickPickers was a respected store, so I would believe their inventory numbers to be correct. Consolidating is still going to be a big job, there is no way around that I suppose.
      Goodluck! ;)

      yes they were - however, again its not as simple as that. Some lots are spread across locations and I don't have easy access to all locations yet (as some are still in the container). I'm also finding that some lots do have different counts though usually in my favour. I prefer the slower more accurate approach than risk customer disappointment if I can't locate all the stock. If I had the space to have all the brick-pickers containers in one place it would be much easier but that would take an industrial size unit to run the store from.

      @@thorakvideos2495 Thing is, miscounting is easy and mislabeling too... multiply that with the # of lots ;) I already have trouble just with my own stuff for building!

      @@diatonicdelirium1743 I run a fulltime BrickLink store & the n1 thing is to keep your inventory "clean". Seeing how BrickPickers also did it professionally; I wouldn't see why they would have had big errors. Also, I always give myself a margin for big quantity items, always upload a lower quantity then I actually have ;)
