When I attended a grooming awareness course at a FE College in the north of England I objected to the media presentation of the perpetrators as 'Asian'. Good job mohan singh im glad to see theirs people like you who are not afraid to take on this shameful crime when some people in our community are to scared to even talk about it...that girl who was raped and was to scared to talk about it because of he parents being a shamed..thats ridiculous..there the first individuals who should have helped her...this is a subject that needs to be taken care with some families in our community
To the victims, I can only say, through my own experience, that sewa, simran and dying in the word of the shabad can not only heal the pain but turn you into a warrior. That doesn't mean you come charging with a sword. That means Guruji takes you under his wing, gives you instructions, bit by bit, and you will know where you stand. "If you want to play the game of love, come to me with your head in your hands. Do not pay any attention to public opinion." The Gurdwara is willing to accept you if your parents are not but do NOT run away. Stay in the Gurdwara to recover if you must, but do not waver from the path. Don't just accept defeat. You just watch how Guruji transforms you. Now step 1 is to delve in sewa. Don't expect miracles to happen. Just delve. 6 months of knocking the Gurdwara's door before Guruji let me in. Perhaps its a test. Perhaps not. But depend on him and nobody else. You will come up tops, believe in Him. Hugs and pyar from your sister in Malaysia.
This isn't a faith issue. The men just believe that Sikh girls are easier to target because of the lack of communication they have with their parents. I think this is a worldwide issue which doesn't get enough attention. As a Sikh girl, I believe that parents and children need to have an open communication with each other. And I hate how society blames the girl for the situation. Society seriously needs to get educated and start living int he 21st century.
I am muslim and this disgusts me. To the ignorant islamophobes, the perpetrators represent themselves, not at all Islam. I dont even know why they are mentioning their muslims, as we muslims believe such acts are punishable. I love sikhism and ive even visited gurdwara with my sikh buddies before.
Many of these cases are with someone facing an imposter Sikh. People need to know what a true Sikh looks like. Parents need to educate their girls and Gurdwaras must help them. There is no excuse for these things happening.

2018 and this is more evident than ever. Education is key here. Where I could meet a stranger online and meet them in real life, some innocent young girls may not see that as grooming as they have been manipulated into thinking it is what they want.

this is heartbreaking to watch. These girls need to be empowered, emboldened to come out and speak up, and get justice. Shame on our sense of stigma that a girl is too scared to talk to her parents , and th parents never report it. Something needs to change culturally, at the mindset level.

I really love and respect all my sikh brothers and sisters. I believe that they are one of the most humane people who believe firmly in their faith. I would like to apologize as a Muslim for the actions caused by all those crazy perpetrators against my Sikh sisters. Islam does not teach such acts. Sikh parents, please be strong and uncover these perpetrators. I hope we can together eradicate these criminals who are a disgrace to Humanity as well as our Islamic Faith. RESPECT!
The parents reactions are almost as bad as the incident itself. How can you not support and care for your daughter when she has been a victim of a vicious attack.
Sikhs parents need to do an better job raising their children. we must communicate with our children to be aware of sexual groomers regardless of their faith in general. Good eye opening documentary.

I have heard first hand accounts in UK accounts of Punjabi girls eloping with Pakistani men who sold them off to brothels in Pakistan. The girls relatives only knew their daughter converted & settled down in her new country.
If parents are open/friendly to her daughter, she won't afraid to share any problem with her mom,dad.

Its become so sophisticated, now Muslim student girls at UK colleges and Universities have setup grooming clubs to convert white girls to islam. what they focus on is the first years white and brown students, who are lonely, vulnerable and need of friend in new place.
By the time parents realize what's going on, its too late. Police is no help if the Girls is not co-operating, as she been brain washed. -Some families are persistent and are successful getting help and other parents just give on the child as these parents don,t have resources to help. - Keep you children safe - looking for signs of disconnecting from friends and family... look for signs of Muslims friends -names. !! Girls grooming girls?
Talking about sex is difficult in many societies including asian ones. No one wants to talk about sex, sexuality, and even puberty. There is much ignorance on many topics including homosexuality, sexual abuse, etc...The worse part is the victim feels they have no one to speak to and so they turn to self harm or suicide. I don't know why such people live to violate innocence.
As an Indian..it bleeds my heart..it bleeds to see anybody who is being exploited regardless of race or colour or creed..but there should be a lot of reasons why parents should not be behaving like girls bring shame and virginity is the world shit..it was not her fault, if you are living in a free society, you have to accept the fact that a person, a girl, can start to have her own life, and there is a chance that she can make some mistake...
Stop calling pakistani abusers or Asian abusers MUSLIMS ! Muslims are people who adhere to the religion of Islam , regardless of their race , colour or creed.

So many males abuse a womans desire to be truly loved. People wonder why I stay single, never dating. Hurt so badly for the last time in 2012, left me with a fear of all males.
Truly shocking. I am sure there will be awareness and the parents will be more understanding towards the plight of their children.
As a Muslim, I am disgusted to hear about such atrocities and I think all the culprits should be given the maximum sentence possible. It also wouldn’t be fair to point fingers at all Muslims as our community is so diverse in race and cultures. As the doc points out, it’s mostly Pakistani Muslim men that engage in such crimes. This is mostly because Pakistani and Sikhs have hated each other since the dawn of time (I don’t know why though). Pakistani people have not only done this to Sikhs but people within their own religion as well, especially to Indian and Bengali people.
One would think the Sikhs would arm up with their daggers and go cut a few throats over something like this. Sikhs don't mess around, and they are based AF.

These are young kids who may not have perfect judgement, teenagers going through their hormonal swings who might be feeling rebellious or depressed growing up in a different culture which is very different from the pressures they face at home, they might be feeling alienated and sometimes feel no one else understands them.
Not all Sikh girls will fall for this, obviously its the ones who are most vulnerable who have been targeted. The fault and the heinousness is all in the conspiracy of these criminal elements who are adult men. We need to accept and support these girls. Put the blame squarely where it lies- these men are criminals, mentally unsound and truly the most despicable scum.
In my opinion the parents acted a bit selfishly. They know about the crime against their loved ones but prefer to kill it rather than report it why? Because their tradition comes ahead of their daughter. That whole secrecy makes it almost impossible for local police to do anything.
