What a woman - honestly. It takes such strength to be able to share such a horrific story so openly with the world. I don’t doubt that her openness will save other women directly through her work as a nurse and indirectly through interviews like this. Truly inspirational ❤
OMG. My heart breaks for her. And I am so absolutely livid. The police and the counselor she spoke with after the first rape completely failed her. What an incredible survivor.

I have watched several videos that were victim-reporting videos. This video stands out for her story and her manner. I will remember her reporting forever.

I'm saddened by her constant excuses for William. He sounds just as abusive as the other men she's encountered, but she seems unable to see it. I pray she heals completely 😢🙏🏾
This very often happens because in her mind that was initially her friend and because she's such a kind hearted person, also studying psychology...she felt pitty for William as he was at a special needs school etc...making excuses for him. He was the only one (guy) whom was kind to her. But William was scared for this gang as well... It's like a coping mechanism to at least still have a person that was good. I have only watched half so I don't know whether William ever graped her as well but if not than the above happens a lot. 😢 I do agree with you 100% though!
When William learning eventually what had been happening to her, he did what many decent adults around her also did. Eventually they encouraged her to report to the police etc. Everything worked as well as could be expected, over all.
“Of course” It’s such a powerful and healing phrase. When you share the worst things that have happened to you and the other person said “of course.” It makes you feel like “ohhh, of course I was terrified…anyone put in that situation would feel the same way. Thank you to you and everybody you’ve interviewed. Interviewee and interviewer you’ve helped more people than you can imagine, keep doing what you do!!!
It sounds like a Stockholm syndrome. She was at wrong place at the wrong time when it all started. William was probably the main culprit who sold her to his "friends". What a heartbreaking story.

What a great woman. Agree she came from an innocent place....and is blessed to come from that place. Unfortunately the level of pathology/ deviance in the population make such individuals obvious targets to predators with Eagle eyes who prey on them, traumatising and thus destroying them. I count myself in the traumatised group.

So much of what you have said resonates with me as does this brave woman’s feelings of feeling different and in one moment life as I knew it changed. Bless this woman for speaking out.
William was the real culprint...he wasnt just a broken man. he was the reason why she came in contact with the others. he must ve been truly diabolical to do this to her.
Yep, that's how they do it... they sent ''the covert fragile one'' but in reality he's truly dangerous and most probably sociopathic like the others. This type is the feeder grooming you to trust him... until your ''ready'' or in a sufficient state of confusion not to think that something bad is about to happen, even though your instincts are telling you otherwise.
😍Former longtime Victim Advocate here: The articulate grasp Kate has on the personal & systemic factors of these crimes is STUNNING! I pray that she continues to heal and find the peace she deserves. 👍🙏🕊️
I'm only at the beginning of this story, but it's very interesting hearing her continuously defend "william" (who seemed to be the conduit into this horrific lifestyle) like he wasn't part of the problem (despite potentially being a victim himself)
I am so incredibly sorry that you went through this, i cannot imagine your pain. None of it was your fault! People let you down, and you were so alone🥺 The strenght you showed in getting away, reporting it, and speaking out is incredible. Hope you truely get healing and get to live a good and happy life❤️

The interviewer is very respectful and encouraging which allows these survivors to feel safe sharing their stories. So much strength and resilience in this woman and I hope she continues to get therapy to process it all over time.
William was aware of how dangerous his gang friends were. Yet he led Kate into the wolfs den. William embodies the saying “wolf in sheep’s clothing.” My heart goes out to Kate, I wish her all the strength and healing to continue advocating. She is powerful and so so strong.

stories like these make me feel as though there’s no light in this world, truly and honestly, this is horrifying beyond words can ever describe. i’m so sorry this happened to you
We would not be alive today without the intelligent, caring humans that create solutions. We all can choose to be light bringers despite the suffering.
She still has a long way to go in healing. She still has a scripted excuse for William. William led her to the Lions Den. Just horrible. I pray there is justice some where along the way against each of the perps. So sorry you had to go through all of this.
At the end of the day William was the same age as me, just a lost teenager, I can’t blame him anymore than I can blame myself. He didn’t rape me. The rapists are the perpetrators, we were just teenagers caught up in a terrible system that was not on our side. It is not good psychology to continue to hold on to grudges. He shows remorse, I forgive him and I forgive myself. I don’t forgive them, the men who raped me, who do not have any remorse for what they did.
@@kateelysia1Of course there's an appropriate place for understanding and forgiveness, but that understanding and forgiveness does not mean painting over the facts. Perhaps William was afraid. Perhaps he was naive. Perhaps he is remorseful... But it seems quite obvious that he wasn't ignorant. He knew what would happen and what was happening. Accountability is not evidence of holding a grudge. Wishing you and evey person who has emerged from any darkness lasting healing.
@@MPPG663 if she has forgiven him, then we should leave it here. William was also teenager , who was from broken family. So may be he was also lost just like her.

Thank you for sharing your story. I work with victims of sexual abuse. It helps me to hear your bravely spoked first hand account of being groomed, and broken...things my clients have also been through and are working to process so that they can live now. I wish you all the healing available. You did nothing wrong. I am so very sorry this all happened to you.
Wow! This has really been informative, a truly great interview. Kate is an extraordinary person to be able to speak so matter of factly about so personal and devastating an assault. She really puts to shame the critics who condemn , "Well, why didn't you scream, fight back, run away, go to the police, tell someone. Why didn't you? Why didn't you? Why didn't you? Well, if you had only, but you didn't." How does a person explain the fear, confusion, self-blame, guilt, shame, and other complex emotions and mental processes involved in such a horrible experience. Kate did a great job explaining all these things and was able to keep herself together while doing it.
I honestly hope that she has the most wonderful life from now on. I know that's unrealistic but what happened to her and others is more than deeply disturbing, I have no words. I truly hope the universe sends her everything she needs and wants. She deserves to live her best life.
This is absolutely horrendous! I’m so sorry you endured this for so long. I don’t even want to call you brave or strong because those words feel so hollow. I am in awe of your courage to speak up and tell your truth and share your abuse.
You are so strong and dont even know how you speaking your story is also speaking out for other women who went through this. I'm currently getting my doctorate in psychology and I would love to help so many women who have gone through any type of abuse. This is just motivating me even more❤
What an incredible woman. To not only have survived but to have made a career for herself and still do what she can to help others. I hope that one day she realises how amazing and special she is. I also loved this interviewer. His kindness and genuine care came across. He let her tell her story while looking after her. One of the best interviews I’ve seen even if the content was hard to listen to.
She made a very good point, often victims of coercion don't seem like a kind of person you would like to help. She unashamedly smashes the Hollywood's idea of a victim, the romanticised version that you would so much want to save, and paints the reality with ugly, rough, but pure truth. Very brave woman. Very honest interview. She teaches us that people in those kind of situations are extremely confused and it takes a lot of effort to help them. We need to help them. In truth we should help all of them, victims and abusers alike. That's where William comes in. We don't, they only go back to what they know. Great woman. Great interview. Wish you all the best!
This woman's bravery and strength is nothing short of extraordinary... period!!! There is no other way to describe or say about the warrior I just listened to!!! An absolute inspiration in every imaginable sense!!
You're so incredible Kate. I don't even know how you finished your studies. So strong and brave. I don't know how you even talk about it publicly. You deserve the best future.

You are so brave to use your unique and insightful position to frame your story. Not many women could be as clear. This will help both victims and other sufferers understand how trauma affects a person, how to get out of it against all odds- AND yet- so graciously use it to help themselves and others. You are a hero. Thank you for sharing Kate! I hope you do ‘Never give up!’
Insightful? To be constantly reminded how weak vulnerable pathetic we the white community we can't even protect her own children from ethnic minorities for fear of a word get a grip man insightful
Poor girl.. I felt bad for her, and disgust for those guys. She was soo naive, she didn't realize William was a part of this rape gang, whether he was "in" this gang or one of the "come-on" (patsy) guys, setting up these lone, naive girls or not, he was a part of it and knew what was going on, and was going to happen. This showed immediately when that rapist told William what he did (or had her do to him), even though he did worse. It was part of the "Good guy, Bad guy" plot. They do all of this to make the young and naive feel off balance and like it was their (the girls) fault. So they will be afraid to report it to anyone, parent or authority. Then they'd gang rape, and start selling her out.. so to speak. It can actually happen to much younger girls then her. But its very sad and disgusting that this happens to anyone.
Incredibly brave to share her story yet again. I cannot imagine the pain this must bring Kate every time she shares this for awareness. Sending an abundance of love and light. May the rest of your life be filled with the most peace and support as possible.

I really hope things have improved where the police response is concerned. Sadly, SA is a huge problem all over the world, and there needs to be some type of reform in how victims are treated, how we teach our children about the danger or warning signs, etc.
@@zxy78267 Yes very true, the police are supposed to be better trained and more aware of grooming and sexual abuse and should always take reports of rape seriously whether they think they will reach court or not.just because the burden of proof and process is a difficult one should not mean that they simply allow a victim or reported victim to go without following up or offering support and proper counselling. They completely failed her and sadly continue to fail those who report sexual violence and DV,they should be on it straight away and have proctocols in place to support victims. They more or less sent her off to be abused again and again.
Thats just horrible, that she had to hide away from her flat. The flat is supposed to be a safe haven. And that William is criminal. Prayers for her complete and total healing. 🙏
I found it shocking that you said you’re shy because I feel like you’re incredibly well spoken and I loved listening to your videos about your story. The fact you showed immense strength during and after such traumatic experiences in truly inspiring! Your story shows other people you can recover and be happy again.
They are taught that they are better than other people and have the right to abuse them. I am glad she told what they did. Very brave of her, and few victims can explain it so well. Admire her.
It's clear the government does NOTHING to stop and fight all of these, and society tolerates this by thinking it's a 'personal issue', but in reality, it's a mass issue and a system that is allowed to exist.
As a survivor & a clinician myself, I'm so struck by your strength & courage. Also your beautiful & kind soul, which really shines through in spite of the horror & heartbreak you went through. Thank you for sharing such a painful traumatic story, i know there will be many people who will gain strength and healing through being able to access help by hearing it. I absolutely resonate with the assertion that you can live a real life free from mental health issues after abuse, as a survivor that was what allowed me to keep going snd refuse to give up, the promise of having a real life, not just one as a victim. ❤❤
A lot of people don’t understand the psychological effects of abuse. It’s easy to say, “just leave” or “don’t go back”, but it becomes like a drug. That dysfunction becomes what you know best and what you’re strangely more comfortable being in even if it is causing you extreme distress; you miss it in a way because it’s your new normal. Everything else, even if healthy, now causes a greater sense of fear. I describe it as the frog in a boiling pot of water; as the temperature is gradually being increased you can’t tell, but eventually when you’re so deep in you’re boiling, you’re now so overwhelmed to the point it feels inescapable and you’re caught in this cycle of gaslighting yourself into thinking it’s somehow your fault. The shame of that becomes all consuming and crippling. It’s like your mind has become a haunted funhouse; you don’t know which way is up, which way is down, what or who to trust (including yourself, your own thoughts/feelings) or how to get out. I commend this woman for getting out, she is strong and beautiful for sharing her story. I know she is educating a lot of people and spreading hope for other survivors.
Most people can’t explain the various states or stages of the situation but you have hit the nail on the head and I thank you so much. I hope people who are struggling or who have found a safe way out read your contribution, folk may well be handled (not a good term, sorry) by qualified specialists but gain nothing from that experience. It is very very sad....Rob
Long retired social worker now. This story is extremely common, world wide. Here in Australia, we started our Males Against Sexism groups, Sydney October 1975. This male event is so strong, that we could not do anything with this city of the Australian feminist movements.
The fact that she defending this “friend” is very telling… that’s how this happened. Ladies use your brain. Do not trust anyone. Her “friend” knew she was in danger and allowed it. Implying he is innocent is completely insane. Love yourself
I feel you’re lacking in understanding what this lady is explaining. It’s not about, “using your brain “! And I feel you are insulting, with your ignorance.
Dear Kate,, your account fills me with horror as I can completely imagine the incidents you describe. It goes to my gut as I've experienced a kind of parallel dynamic, if less bad and less big. It was not even a gang, just a bunch of young men with toxic levels of hatred against women. They leave you feeling so humiliated you do blame yourself. It is so important that you've articulated your experience and the ambiguity around consent and disempowerment, the breaking of your will. It would help other people who are blaming themselves. I hope things are going well with you now., you're a beautiful flame of illumination in such entrapping darkness.
Hi Kate, thanks so much for speaking about what you went through and helping us to understand. You are such an amazing, inspirational person - and I think you are helping many other people through talking about your experience. Good luck with your journey!
Thank you for your story and on going will to help and inform others as well as better yourself! I’m very greatful to have come across this! You have given me the courage and strength to respect myself more and to help others to do the same! I’m damaged from my life and suffer extreme depression, ptsd and anxiety! I know I do not have to live my life anymore as a victim but as a person who knows what comes from wrong intentions and trauma! I can be a person who can give back to the ones that cannot give anything for themselves at this time! Thank you 🙏 ❤
It is very hard to overcome SA. There are a lot of survivors out there who are surviving, but not without painful memories and anger, regret, etc. I'm angry that the system at the time for me was not a victim positive system. If you weren't attacked by some heinous person jumping out of an alley who also beat you to a pulp, it wasn't an assault. Almost no one my age reported it because we knew we'd be put on trial more than the perpetrator. I think things have improved a little bit, but we have a long way to go.
As horrible as the perpetrators are, what is even more horrible is that in many countries and cities, the authorities deal with such things with total impunity and corruption is rampant. Oftentimes there is no prosecution, and victims are prevented from even filing a report. The entire process of justice and healing demands change - in many places it is very broken. ( I am in Texas, U S.A.)
You are very brave sister and an inspiration to other victims ..turning such a bad experience into something which could help others shows your incredible strength and goodness of your heart which is incomparable....hats off to you sis....and shame on the police for failing their job and may those animals who did wrong with you die a miserably painful death....
Well spoken woman who was caught in an horrific situation by male violent predators. Then the police didn’t support her or provide her protection or validation. Disgusting!
all these men and not a single one stepped forward to protect this girl. Its hard to not think of men as anything but dangerous predators when you see the type of stuff they’ll do or tolerate.
Absolutely my 13yr old was groomed and plied with alcohol, filmed semi consciousness, then distributed online. She was so ashamed when school saw it. She blames herself still, says its her fault. Wouldn't push charges because of shame. She 15 now her mental health is fluk now. She uses pot to numb herself. Agree lovely Lady for having the strength to speak up.❤❤
I don’t understand how the police operate. With a video and her being underage they should be able to prosecute without making her testify. I have heard this in other cases and the worst predatory scum is allowed to keep doing it over and over. They need to do better.
💞Kate, Never stop moving forward. Keep fighting the good fight. We all have a purpose, a calling. Keep your chin up and be proud of everything you have achieved and accomplished. This whole story is just horrible :-( But what makes me really sad, is that she was scared to tell her parents, because she knew they would blame her. This is just awful.
I’m so impressed with Kates courage in coming forward to describe this horrendous abuse. Though it chills me to know now how these gangs and damaged abusive men operate, with the weak following the more aggressive thinking that women deserve this. I hope that Kates witness will bring a positive and progressive change in society, policing, and mental health services to enable women to feel safe to come forward and get help

From one nurse to another your one brave soul , no need to be ashamed i am beside you every step of the way ! in fact i am very proud of you !
William was never her friend. He had a specific role to play in this gang.
That terrible sinking feeling when you realize that your life has taken an awful turn… there is a feeling of resignation from all your hopes and aspirations. I want this young lady to know that her message reaches deep and clear to other victims/survivors of trauma, and to thank her for her demonstrated desire to help others. I hope that she will come to know how strong and beautiful she really is. 🌈💜🇺🇸
The police masons and hospitals are trafficking women. JFK North Palm Beach Florida drugs rapes and tortures and experiments on young girls and homeless people any woman they can get their hands on they will rape to the point of having no skin down there and you’ll be held long enough to not get a forensic rape exam or a toxicology report while the staff does Satanic ritual abuse on all the people in the hospital behind closed doors all day all night and feed you human meat this is not a joke. The police that are involved in the masons that are in on it think this is fun to then follow the women or anybody who survives afterwards and keep them silent no one is pressing charges and there is so much abuse in that facility it has to be shut down. Elderly are also being extorted of their money & houses bf dying inside there.

William was the bait that's how grooming gangs work they always have to have a introducer and William was just as fearful of them as she explained

Hope you truely get healing and get to live a good and happy life❤️
What an incredible woman - such strength and resilience through such a horrific crime.
Just want to give her a big hug 🙏❤️🤗
This content is so important to share as it helps viewers recognize and understand what has happened to them or see warning signs that could save them from harm.
William embodies the saying “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
My heart goes out to Kate, I wish her all the strength and healing to continue advocating. She is powerful and so so strong.

What an incredible story of survival and courage. This woman is a hero! I also want to thank the interviewer for his sensitive and thoughtful demeanor and his ability to give a safe space to Kate. It takes respect and skill to do that.

stories like these make me feel as though there’s no light in this world, truly and honestly, this is horrifying beyond words can ever describe. i’m so sorry this happened to you
We would not be alive today without the intelligent, caring humans that create solutions. We all can choose to be light bringers despite the suffering.
Thank you for speaking for so many of us.
Your honesty shines light into the hearts of those who have been marginalized and isolated by abusers.
@@kateelysia1 We are just mad on your behalf Queen 🎉
@@kateelysia1Of course there's an appropriate place for understanding and forgiveness, but that understanding and forgiveness does not mean painting over the facts.
Perhaps William was afraid. Perhaps he was naive. Perhaps he is remorseful...
But it seems quite obvious that he wasn't ignorant. He knew what would happen and what was happening.
Accountability is not evidence of holding a grudge.
Wishing you and evey person who has emerged from any darkness lasting healing.

Harrowing. She is so brave and must know how many girls she will be educating and saving moving forwards.
6 and a half years for destroying multiple life's. Absolute joke the UK justice system.
It’s still happening now
Powerful interview. She is such a brave woman and the interviewer was a kind gentleman.
She is still spiritually connected to William. Praying for her deliverance.
Yup, the way she excuses him and believed he was into her is an indication that she's rewritten the story to cope.
You never need to apologise for other people's actions. You are a beautiful strong woman.
I wish you nothing but happiness for the rest of your life 🌻
You are so strong and dont even know how you speaking your story is also speaking out for other women who went through this.

You are so brave to use your unique and insightful position to frame your story. Not many women could be as clear. My heart breaks for her apparent need to apologize. She has absolutely nothing to apologize for!

The British Police don't do much against the Muslim Immigrant Males.

It's clear the government does NOTHING to stop and fight all of these, and society tolerates this by thinking it's a 'personal issue', but in reality, it's a mass issue and a system that is allowed to exist.

You are an amazingly brave human and I hope you thrive ♥️
